Super location and cool small boutique hotel. They have done a ton of improvements from it prior life as gigis. Great spot and value.
WiFi could be faster.
It was within walking distance of the beach and the breakfast was okay.
I stayed in the "Monaco" Room. The room was very dirty, the bathroom ceiling was falling apart, the hot water for the shower had no pressure and the bath tub backed up while showering. The price of this room was not worth it and I would strongly urge people not to waste their money staying here!
Location and the staff were great. Don't expect anything fancy but you won't find value and location any better than this.
Brekky is only served till 9, that's way too early if you want to have a lie in.
With the beach only a block away and several restaurants within walking distance, the location of the resort is very good.
The overall appearance of the room left a lot to be desired. After seeing the room and witnessing the lack of cleanliness we decided to spray disinfectant on the sheets as well as all surfaces we came in contact with. The last straw was having a cockroach run across the floor into the bathroom.
The one-man show was friendly and helpful - if you could find him. This place is not like any Hotel I ever stayed in - it feels like as you stay with a relative for a short period of a day or maybe two. The usage of the free long distance phone came in hand. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location was great and central.Easy to reach and close to the beach. Good restaurants and typical touristic shops in walking distance. Since we did not rent a car, the use of the public bus system was great and cheap for seniors like us. The bus fare was only $ 0.85 or a Buck - cash only. Also the usage of the Hop-on and Hop-off came in handy. Again only $1.00 cash one way. Give yourself time to wait for all bus services - if you missed one, the wait can be as long as 45 minutes for the next one.
This place has a good location - but it needs a good overhaul and a lot of renovation everywhere. It feels like a old lemon - the owner wants to get the most out of it but does not want to invest in its future. This place is a jewel in a rough and could have potential. The rooms are dark and in need of new furniture and a lot of decorating touches. Cracked dry wall ceiling need a lot of attention and so does the layers of old paint everywhere. The washroom needs a big overhaul with its plumbing - when it works. Any stay for more then 24 hours is too much and greatly overpriced for what you get. We would not return ever.
You get what you pay for in terms of niceness. Breakfast is included- just an assortment of bagels and muffins and coffee but was still nice. The owner was super nice and helpful. We arrived a few hours before check in and he let us keep our bags in the office so we could explore the area while we waited and once our room was ready, he personally called us.
Uncleanliness of the room, frig iced up full of mould, unsafe electrical switches, breakfast outside in the cold, general shabbiness- dirty dusty curtains
It is an old hotel reminded me of home that I once owned. Nothing fancy at al,l but was nice my first room the air wall unit did not work so they moved me this room smaller yet nice.
I did not like the little ants and the owner and I discussed as they were over everything.
The location was great -- a short walk to the beach. The proprietor was pleasant and helpful. The price was lower than other places -- and we can see why now that we've stayed there.
Facility is old and run down. Window AC unit (ours did work well though), lumpy mattress, trickle of water for shower. The breakfast was meager. This bed and breakfast was more like a hostel. However, we did sleep well and felt safe.
Filthy bathroom - at least a dozen hairs found. cruddy room; broken curtain rod and wall; dirty floor; looked like it hadn't been maintained in decades; very cramped parking space; lousy breakfast; very low water pressure; cracks in porcelain tub; dirty tub;
This was the worst place I have ever stayed in . My boyfriend and I stayed there over New Years and booked for 6 days . We ended up staying for 2 nights. Pro the manager is the rudest and most obnoxious man I have ever met . Not only would he not refund us the 600 he yelled at us in front of other guest and threatened to ruin my credit . I don't know how he planned on doing that haha . The place is old . We stayed in the Paris room and it reeked like sewage and had ants crawling all over . Want to take a hot shower or come home to a nice air conditioned room ? Certainly won't get that here . Pro also told us we couldn't leave and if we did he would charge my card even though I had already paid for 6 days . DO NOT STAY HERE!
Very nice and friendly staff. Located in walking distance from the bars and Restaurants. I will come back.
The place hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The paint was peeling and crumbling onto the floor, the bathroom was stained, the toilet seat was dirty, the bed had particles on it and the sheets seemed not to have been cleaned. Very poor value for the money.
close to the beach
very dirty! room was not cleaned at all. dirty toilet and cockroaches... :(
An older hotel that was once set up very lovingly and with Flaire. Each room has a theme such as London, Paris, Nairobi, etc. Unfortunately, no attention is paid to cleanliness. Although these are a very good price for the night and the proximity to the beach are there. But the glasses in the cupboard were probably used with red wine and never rinsed the toilet was dirty on arrival and the bed was not cleaned in recent months. All in all very recommendable if you want to use the room to sleep and otherwise trying to stop it. The owner is very helpful late check out at no additional cost possible. However, I had booked breakfast and got only one day coffee and breakfast. For the next 2days, the owner put 2 and Beagle O juice in the refrigerator coffee was offered no more. So in short order breakfast there was not really at all.
