The consierre and all of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and my college aged daughter loved the decor and the Kiel's body products. My son and his girlfriend also stayed at Gild and were very pleased. (I finally booked a great room.) The location was great for a New York visit. |

great location for business...convenient to everywhere. Rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable. I travel to NYC on business all the time and sometimes my plans change...dates change...my client reschedules....etc. Your cancellation policy and inflexibility with allowing the changing of dates makes it impractical for me to justify staying there every time I'm in NYC. I can only book a room infrequently, when I'm absolutely sure my appointment is firm. |

For the price, I didn't find it to be as customer friendly as I'd hoped. I wish the hotel staff had been friendlier/more hospitable. Also, I believe the bathtubs should come equipped w/ a railing on the side(safety reasons). Also, a continental breakfast would be nice on Sundays since the restaurant doesn't open until 8:30 AM. |

The hotel is unique in that the rooms are large. Staff is great and location to subway is also a big plus. |

Friendly and helpful staff, close to all subway lines. A nice boutique hotel. Not really a complaint- the hotel is very close to Wall Street and was very quiet on the weekend. |

I really liked the fact that it was smallish and boutique in style. The linens and toiletries were wonderful. The staff really added to the experience by being 100% helpful and accommodating. Their restaurant does great fish and chips! Also the Unicorn Pub down the road does a fabulous Sunday brunch "all you can eat" for $20.00...great value! Some rooms are bigger than others so enquire if your not happy with yours. |

Beautifully appointed with luxurious ambiance. Extremely gracious staff. A nice surprise to find a little gem in the off- beat finanicial district. The Thompson Hotels are always dependable and something special to look forward to. I have previously stayed at 60 Thompson in soho and currently booked the Thompson Lower East side for later this month. |

The staff were very friendly. The room was small - for what was described as a Premier King Bedroom. But that's NY, I suppose. |

The rooms were well appointed, nice linens, shower was great, ipod dock a nice touch. The booking.com deal on the rooms made them very good value for a four star hotel. I don't think I would have felt good about the value if we paid the advertised full price. The rooms are a little small (I have stayed in several hotels in NYC) so I know the comparisons. Room service didn't answer the phone when we called, but when we ordered breakfast it was good (although quite expensive). I really find it irritating that the more expensive the hotel the more likely you have to pay (10 dollars a day in this case) for internet. Free internet is a basic to me. |
