Had everything we needed. Staff was nice and accommodating.
No airport shuttle service.
The comfort of the room, the staff, the restaurant and bar, the decorations. I love this hotel.
I would enjoy having a coffee maker in my room.
Close to restaurants and bars
Great building, very cleaned, very silent but also good position ! Very nice location!!!
smell in the entrance!
Comfort of the bed and the fact that the hotel and room were quiet, although this section of Manhattan in a much quieter area in general, especially on the weekends.
Bathroom did not offer much privacy. Through the frosted glass door wall area, you can see the silhouette of the person using the bathroom (if you're sharing the room with others, obviously) and see just what they're doing in there via their silhouette. Also, when the bright bathroom lights are turned on, it lights up the whole hotel room, shining thru the frosted glass panels. The designed look is appealing and modern, but not practical.
Location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Location - Don't have to deal with crowds of other tourists while still being near certain attractions (Statue of Liberty, South Street Seaport, Wall Street, Freedom Tower) Food- The Felice Ristorante menu was great. Open to the general public allowed for a greater crowd to come in and show off its popularity in the neighborhood Style- Gives off the uperclass feel without paying as much as other hotels
Bathroom - Just the glass door really. Inside the bathroom is really nice until you find out your easily visible from the room when you go in. Other than that no problems at all.
Room was pretty much perfect. Like have the iron/ironing board included.
The AC unit was pretty loud switching on/off so made it harder to sleep.
Design and room quality
Noise of airco and outside noise. No complementary internet or bottle of water. Poor TV movie selection.
It was beautiful inside, better than I expected. It sort of reminds me of a gentlemen's club or something because it's very masculine but it has a certain kind of sexy about it. Very clean and extremely prompt service, we received a complimentary glass of champagne upon check in, and when we got into the room (after we took pics and selfies) we turned on the TV and the screen said welcome and my name, never saw that before. The staff was very respectful, polite, helpful, and patient (Surprising for NYC).
Lmao!!! Believe it or not, the only thing I had a issue with was that you can see through the bathroom door. It is suppose to be frosted but, uhhhhh no! :-) works great if your a couple who is in the room alone, but if you are sharing the room with another couple, it doesn't work. We had to put up a sheet everytime we had to use the restroom.
Location Design and modern structure Spacious rooms
Free wifi only in lobby
I typically stay in boutique hotels when traveling and would rank this in the top ten!
Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel and room. Felt safe and relaxed
Early check in wasn't available, got a little lost trying to find parking
The smell of the place. The way the place looked visually. The staff.
How small the room was. The tub clugger didn't work. No view to look at.
Most things were excellent: large and good room, staff, service, restaurant.
Location could be better, but also the Financial District has many pubs and restaurants now, compared to some years ago. Too hot(!) water in the shower. Not possible to get cold water.
service, looks, scent of lobby, whole experience. I really loved it and will stay again
glass wall into bathroom- wish I'd known about that!
Great people makes for a Great hotel The front house just couldn't do enough for us
Everything! Staff is very friendly and the hotel is GREAT! Good quality bedding and very neat rooms! Restaurant on site is great, however, my husband wasn't a bit fan of their american breakfast, but their pastries and all the pasta with appetizers to die for! My only wish that they had spa on site...
Just one little thing which isn't that important, but room service came 30 minutes earlier and we were still asleep so it created a little morning hustle...
The hotel is very nicely appointed and more interesting than the typical chain hotel. The room had lovely high ceilings, nice bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is great for lower Manhattan and is convenient for the subway for travelling to pretty much anywhere else in the city.
My biggest complaint about the hotel is their practice of pumping perfume through the air conditioning in the public areas of the hotel. I suppose some people might like inhaling perfume, but I personally found it oppressive, and I couldn't spend more than 5 minutes in the lobby/bar area before starting to sneeze. Wifi/internet in the rooms is very expensive. Free wifi is available in the lobby, but this is inconvenient and rather slow. I also found the air-con in the rooms very noisy - suggest bringing ear plugs if you are used to quiet nights.
Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Very clean rooms.
Location. Very hard to find. Cost per night was high for a standard, nice room at $330 per night.
We loved absolutely EVERYTHING about Gild Hall! After a hectic day in the city, how nice it was to retreat to a slower, quieter pace! The staff was friendly and helpful...the room was beautiful and very clean...the value was the best we could find!
Very nice amenities, location and staff service.
No loyalty programme or frequent flyer benefits.
The spaciousness of the room, especially in New York! The price was amazing: $187 + taxes. The food at the attached Toscano Restaurant was outstanding and every single one of us five truly savored our meal. We returned again for breakfast!
No small fridge, just a mini-bar. No coffee maker in the room.
We where welcomed with glass of prosecco Close to subway Comfortable rooms Helpful staff
WiFi in Rooms are too expensive All Rooms are very noisy. Ipad/iphone docking station outdated, no adapter available
