Large, bright room with comfortable king size bed. The dark colors and leather motif screams businessman's club but you can get great deals on the weekends. There were some problems with the thermostat and the safe. |

The staff was courteous and helpful, the decor is stylish and the location is tucked away, so it's a bit of an oasis in the city. It's not cheap, but for a place in NYC it was a decent value. |

The room was big by New York standards, and comfortable. The bar was also very lively. Availability of a smoking room was also welcome. It felt very masculine! The location was ok, not brilliant, but we got a good last minute deal. i would not be prepared to pay full price for this hotel. |

Very quick check in. Staff was very pleasent, and helpful. First time in your hotel, will returned to your hotel. Great downtown location, very close to the train staion, restaurants and attractions. My suggestion, been in the hospitality industry myself, your restaurant and room service prices are very high. Been in the middle of an area with so many choices, you are loosing costumers like me, to better, priced restaurants, and other stores. |

Lovely boutique hotel. Very helpful and friend staff. In particular, Natalie really made our check-in process a pleasure. During our entire stay, she was knowledgeable, amusing, energetic and sweet. Her amiable personality and professionalism were perfectly balanced. We were perplexed at management's decision to have a limited room service option (breakfast only) during the busy Labor Day weekend when the hotel was fully booked. Additionally, the inconsistent information about room service was confusing. Ex. The TV hotel info page, the front of the room's hotel information book, and the breakfast menu behind the Room Service tab all had different listed hours of operation. There was no restaurant menu at all behind the Restaurant tab. When the decision was made to have limited in-house meal service, all systems and notices should agree. |

Terrific location, wonderful, courteous & helpful staff, sleek room decor...all in all a terrific experience! Highly recommended to anyone going to New York. We are looking forward to trying other Thompson Hotels in Manhattan on future trips as well! |

Excellent rates at this time of year (and this economy). We had a big room (by NY standards) and the overall quality was very high; it really is a four star hotel. I feared that the financial district would be dead in the weekend, which it was a bit, but it's very close to Fulton St shops and South Sea Port, which was very lively. The airco is noisy, so earplugs are recommended |

Eclectic modern design with inviting lobby and excellent bar. Rooms were very spacious by New York standards and well-appointed. Nice Hermes-inspired custom headboards and Sferra linens. Kiehls toiletries were also a big plus. |

The hotel design was very nice, clean, and welcoming. The Hotel staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were perfect for us. Somewhat small but space was not necessary considering the fact we were vacationing in new york city and did not need to spend much time in our room. The directory provieded by the hotel was helpful and could be useful for any tourist. The hotel restaurant and bar were both nice as well. |

Great experience from the minute you walk in, greetings and friendly check-in. Quality bedding and small boutique type atmosphere Having breakfast setup downstairs would be nice. |

it is great value for money, super nice sheets, every room has a king size bed !! and the complimentary kiehl's products are yummy too.. would definately choose this hotel again anytime ! |

It is well located for buisiness but it is not for tourist. I requested a quiet room but they put me in a room is located just front of elevetor and there was a noise of airconditioning outside. It was not so comfortable. |

It was dark and oppressive and the public spaces were way too hunting lodge for my liking. The room was a reasonable size for New York (I have seen smaller), so it was disappointing not to find some kind of chair or sofa in the room. I found it all very average and have no idea as to why it has received such high ratings. |

This is a great place in Lower Manhatten, well connected with the underground, great design and nice staff. The rooms are not large, but for NYC really ok compared to the price and the location. |

The Gild Hall has some of the best staff I have ever encountered (For New Yorkers that is :)). The highlight of my stay was the courteous doorman who signaled for a taxi and opened an umbrella and a cab door for both myself and my girlfriend on a rainy night out. The hotel has incredible quality for such a great price in NYC. The financial district is much more quiet than Times Square (although it may not boast as much activity). The location was still great and minutes from everything. 400 thread linens, gorgeous king size bed, flat screens that welcome you with a personal greeting, iPod clock radio to wake up to Michael Jackson tunes...Absolutely amazing place. |
