Gild Hall - A Thompson Hotel

Personalen hjälpsam och generös, vilket bland annat visades genom att vi fick ett fat med kakor två ggr samt drinkbiljetter att nyttja i hotellets bar. Fick även goda råd kring hur man tar sig till flygplatsen och vad det kostar. Mat och dryck på hotellet var utsökt, men ändå inte överdrivet dyrt med tanke på hotellets standard och dess läge nära Wall Street. Ytterligare några små detaljer som höjde upplevelsen var Kiehls produkter i badrummet samt att personal knackade på under eftermiddag/kväll och frågade om man saknade något eller om man vill ha is eller choklad eller dylikt. Gratis morgontidning var inte heller helt fel att få :-)

Kan inte komma på någonting överhuvudtaget som jag är missnöjd med. En fantastisk upplevelse blev vår NY-vistelse, vilket hotellet var en starkt bidragande orsak till.

The hotel design was modern and comfortable. It was luxurious (high thread- count sheets and duvet, plush towels and high end bath products) without being over the top, stuffy or generic. High ceilings, uniquely modeled light fixtures, furniture and throw blankets made the room feel more like an apartment than a hotel room. The staff were courteous, genuine, polished and helpful. We particularly loved the English-pub-meets-ski- lodge feel of the lobby and the bar was fantastic - cozy and hip - we'll definitely be back!

I was a bit disappointed in the bathroom. A separate tub and shower would have made it more romantic. The lighting options in the bathroom were also not ideal - all or nothing hollywood vanity lights didn't allow for a more low-key mood.

For what we wanted the hotel was fantastic, staff were great, room was really comfortable. Subway is two streets away so location is great - from experience it's great to be further south away from midtown

Not having a kettle in the room!!, For the money you pay I don't think it's too much to ask for. If you are sharing the room and your partner uses the bathroom you can see everything they are doing because the door is made of glass!! Strange design!!

Service was excellent and the accommodations were nice. Seems more for the business traveler.

The rooms seemed a little dark.

Large, bright room with comfortable king size bed. The dark colors and leather motif screams businessman's club but you can get great deals on the weekends.

There were some problems with the thermostat and the safe.

The room was big by New York standards, and comfortable. The bar was also very lively. Availability of a smoking room was also welcome.

It felt very masculine! The location was ok, not brilliant, but we got a good last minute deal. i would not be prepared to pay full price for this hotel.

Very quick check in. Staff was very pleasent, and helpful. First time in your hotel, will returned to your hotel. Great downtown location, very close to the train staion, restaurants and attractions.

My suggestion, been in the hospitality industry myself, your restaurant and room service prices are very high. Been in the middle of an area with so many choices, you are loosing costumers like me, to better, priced restaurants, and other stores.

Lovely boutique hotel. Very helpful and friend staff. In particular, Natalie really made our check-in process a pleasure. During our entire stay, she was knowledgeable, amusing, energetic and sweet. Her amiable personality and professionalism were perfectly balanced.

We were perplexed at management's decision to have a limited room service option (breakfast only) during the busy Labor Day weekend when the hotel was fully booked. Additionally, the inconsistent information about room service was confusing. Ex. The TV hotel info page, the front of the room's hotel information book, and the breakfast menu behind the Room Service tab all had different listed hours of operation. There was no restaurant menu at all behind the Restaurant tab. When the decision was made to have limited in-house meal service, all systems and notices should agree.

Eclectic modern design with inviting lobby and excellent bar. Rooms were very spacious by New York standards and well-appointed. Nice Hermes-inspired custom headboards and Sferra linens. Kiehls toiletries were also a big plus.

The hotel design was very nice, clean, and welcoming. The Hotel staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were perfect for us. Somewhat small but space was not necessary considering the fact we were vacationing in new york city and did not need to spend much time in our room. The directory provieded by the hotel was helpful and could be useful for any tourist. The hotel restaurant and bar were both nice as well.

Great experience from the minute you walk in, greetings and friendly check-in. Quality bedding and small boutique type atmosphere

Having breakfast setup downstairs would be nice.
