Room was clean and comfortable.
Nice staff, quick and friendly check-in, rooms clean. Pool area clean. Restaurant close at hand.
Noisy... ground floor and the ceilings are paper thin and you can hear every footstep above you. It is close to train tracks and freeway. Also is a Motel full of trucker drivers who apparently like to party at night instead of sleep.
modern new style 2 big seperate beds (enough space for 4 people) cleaness
Price, Mattress comfortable, A/C quiet, room quiet & clean.
The whole place & room stunk like 40-year old cigarette smoke, no customer lobby, room furniture was one step up from the local jail. Their printer didn't work, so my receipt was streaky and not all readable.
The rooms look good with the remodel.
The bathrooms should have tissues for your noise.
Quiet, comfortable, very basic place to stay overnight.
Long time checking in (we were very tired). Water pressure low, but there is a drought in California right now, so they are possibly trying to make sure folks don't use too much water.
I asked to speak with the Manager as I was checking out 1 day early and wanted a refund of that day. I left at 7:30 am and the front desk promised she would call me - she never did! Now I will never go back.
train going by, maids wanting to clean the room at 7pm the night before checkout, had to go to front desk for towels and soap, maids do not speak English.
The staff at the front desk was friendly, helpful and genuine. The rooms are really spacious and very clean. Interesting retro take on the bathroom. Good value for money. Great little diner out in the front of carpark. The motel served its purpose as a good pit stop to monterey.
Close to freeway
Room key stop working on the door. Both nights at the hotel
Close to Garlic Festival, restaurant next door - Sandy's - is good for breakfast. Easy to find, right off the freeway.
No Kleenex in the room. Only coffee is downstairs in the 'lobby'.
I liked that we could park our bikes right outside the window of our room but if I had to get out of the window fast, it only opened 4 inches!
The water bottles would get stuck in soda machine and not come down. The management refused to refund us. I had to ask for a blow dryer and there is no coffee maker in room. Pool is on afternoon shaded side of the building and it is not heated! But...considering we were there for a biker event on July 4th in Hollister, they never bothered us when we took over the pool area with fireworks and loud partying! LoL
Liked the euro concept of remodeled rooms...but they need a maintenance person that does not use duct tape to fix the toilet handle...it broke so I had to re-apply the original duct tape to make it flush lol
Needs more vending machine with simple foods instead of candy...also needs coffee vending machine available 24 hrs
I didn't like anything about this motel! The worst stay at a Motel 6 ever!
We had traveled all day and wanted to take a shower when we checked in but there were no clean towels yet!! And we checked in at 5pm! They were still cleaning rooms when we got there. The girl at the desk had these disgusting piercings in her neck and they were gross and infected! She was rude! We had to pay for wifi! And I had to complain that it wasn't working so I called the 800 number which was the wrong number I was given by the girl at the desk! The room was tiny! No soaps or shampoos! The hallway to the rooms was old and stained! Got up the next morning to have coffee and it was horrible! I'm not sure I will ever stay at a Motel 6 again! Rather pay double and get a nice room!! Poor value for $120!! So disappointed!!
This hotel is great even though the previous comments were bad.We stayed in room 216 and it was very quiet and very clean and had 2 very comfortable beds. We carry a cooler box for our ice and cold drinks etc so not having a fridge isn't a problem. The staff were great and we spent a lot of time at the lovely swimming pool that we had to ourselves for 3 days. this is very good value for money.
I liked that the rooms are non smoking. I also liked the size of the bathroom and the shower.
No refrigerator in room for my prescription medicine......no in room coffee... and since I made the booking through a web site they could not give me my AAA or AARP discount.
No refrigerator. Also, they kept taking back our extra towels
All ice machines we're broken
Noise, no ice or coffee
Motel 6 was clean. If a person is looking for a bed to sleep in and that's it, it's a little pricey for what is given but will do the job. The staff also was friendly.
The room is very sterile. In an effort to be "modern", comfort was sacrificed. The floors are wood, which normally I would like, but here it just seemed to make the room cold and uninviting. I have also never been to a motel that didn't have tissue or shampoo and conditioner. I will not stay there again.
Manager was quick to have our room cleaned and gave us a discount for the inconvenience.
Our room was not cleaned when we got there and had to wait for the maids to clean it.
Our Board of Directors did not like anything. They will never stay at the Gilroy Motel 6 again.
1. They did not recognize booking.com as official, reservations were not made for Rebekah Children Services Board of Directors. 2. I faxed them cc# authorization with all the names and the reservation made w/booking.com & they lost it. 3. They called our CEO telling him that no reservations had been made. He called me at home to take care of the situation. They also spoke to our Finance department regarding Credit Card information & the names of our Board. 3. The day our Board was checking in they were turned down. I spent 2 hours from my home trying to get the situation fixed. I actually had to raise my voice and tell Vanessa to sign them in & I would email her the information they lost. 5. They insisted over & over again because I made the reservations using booking.com they were not legit. 4. I had one of our staff email Vanessa the information I could go on however what would be the point.
Pleasant, helpful staff. Clean
Watery coffee, a problem throughout the USA!! Charging $2.99 for internet usage is absurd. It's pretty cheap but it irritated me, I would have preferred if their price were simply $3 higher. Motel 6 does not provide breakfast. Another irritation, comparable motels usually provide breakfast, and there is little variation in the price of the room. These are points of minor irritation and do not stop me from using Motel 6.
Nothing about that place I like..
My whole stay I didn't like they didn't have a blow dryer or mini refrigerator or clean room no clean towels it was really disgusting.
Building was under construction so the room smelled like paint fumes. The windows couldn't be opened because they had no screens. None of the smoke detectors in the hallway were working because they were taped up during construction. Outside the room were tools dust and debris that could not be avoided because the elevator was down during construction and and the only way to walk to the room was walking through the construction mess.
