Excellent hotel, in a very good location with caring, polite and courteous staff. Excellent rooms, nicely decorated and very clean. The staff's care and attention will make your holiday, nothing is too much trouble. Roof top patio, wine and cheese every evening, we will be going back
We traveled from Chicago. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was light but delicious. Location was perfect!
Nothing comes to mind. Hotel was a great value in a great location.
After-noon wine with snacks. Staff always helpful and friendly.
Good size room for family of four with plenty of storage space. Loved the balcony and street view. Breakfast had good choice with gorgeous toasted bagels and all staff very helpful and friendly
Quiet , modern and peaceful rooms
Breakfast choice is very limited and served essentially in the lobby of the hotel.
Within walking distance to many places we enjoy visiting when in the city
Nice rooms, very clean Free wifi. Friendly attentive staff esp at breakfast and the concierge team. Great free cheese and wine served at 5pm good way to unwind after a day sight seeing.
Clean, comfortable spacious room Great firm bed Quiet Nice breakfast and happy hour in the lobby
Roof patio needs a bar
Great location on corner of Park Avenue. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean spacious (for NY) and comfortable.
Only two drawbacks - 1) we we're unable to enjoy the rooftop lounge because of a private party and 2) noise from parties at the bar next door until 2:00 - 3:00 am made sleeping difficult.
We loved being able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast and read the local newspapers in the hotel before heading out for the day. Breakfast staff especially Gaby were a delight. After a day of sightseeing it was so good to return and enjoy a glass of wine with biscuits, cheese, celery etc. It gave you a chance to relax before the theatre or a meal out. So good to have all this included in the tariff.
We had booked a twin bed room with a small balcony. Room 305 is the only one to have a balcony that is so minute you cannot even put a foot out on it!!! Not accessible very disappointing. The other balconies were large enough to have a pot plant!! The excellent staff thankfully made our stay a very enjoyable one. Lift access not good if there is a private function at rooftop terrace
The breakfast. Nothing warm was available.
Breakfasts superb Enjoyed wine and cheese in the evening Rooms superb and clean Staff very friendly and professional
Roof top area a little cramped and lacked a view
All the above excellent.
The staff are a real strength here; friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Location is handy for most places.
Beds are on the hard side and I thought it was expensive bearing in mind similarly priced London hotels.
Second visit for us, excellent location, all staff warm, welcoming and helpful. Excellent quality of room, large, lovely comfortable bed. Huge room with balcony. Complimentary breakfast, snacks and drinks all day and evening wine and cheese superb.
The free cheese and wine every evening. The excellent breakfasts, the attitude of the staff who served the breakfasts- they couldn't be more helpful
All the tax added to the room rate. The 'fairies' who come in every night to turn down the bed - not necessary
Location great. Ambiance lovely. Much quieter than midtown hotel we stayed in last time. Breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese a very nice touch. Staff really helpful in organising taxis and transport.
The staff was lovely. Very helpful. The rooms were a good size, and nicely decorated. We even had a view of Madison Square Park from our balcony. We loved the breakfast and wine and cheese. It's a great neighbourhood, wonderful restaurants within walking distance, or a few subway stops, to everything.
Beds could be a bit more comfortable. The springs are definitely starting to be felt by the sleeper. I know foam toppers were available but those are squishy and hot and constructed of man-made materials that often give off a bit of chemical odour. Would you consider putting "feather-bed" toppers on the mattresses or replacing the mattresses? That is really my only concern and it's a small one.
The staff was SUPER helpful and accommodating, and went above and beyond what was expected. My fiancé and I stayed there the day before and the day of our wedding, and the staff even sent us a congratulations card. The service was beyond amazing, the room was super spacious and comfortable, and the complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival made us feel special and welcome. I'll never stay anywhere else in NYC.
It's a very upscale hotel, so if you're not 'wealthy', the other guests at the hotel are rather snobby and judgmental, but that in no way reflects against the hotel itself. The staff treats EVERYONE with respect and hospitality.
Charming ambience, impeccable service, rooftop deck, very clean and comfortable rooms, wine and cheese hour.
Location, free continental breakfast , complimentary wine and cheese in the evenings, helpful staff.
Enjoyed a lovely happy hour with wine and cheese after walking all day...
Super Lage, angenehmes Ambiente,
Fabulous vacation for my family of 6! Loved the location, breakfast each morning, and afternoon wine and cheese. My kids enjoyed the cookies through out the day!
