Score from 58 reviews Very good
WiFi was very efficient and the hotel staff was very friendly.
Room was a bit small and Continental breakfast wasn't as expected.
The staff are great, the location and amenities are as well.
Some of the beds are too old and need to be replaced
It was within walking distance of downtown and a beautiful park.
Michael at the front desk was great!
In city location with walkable restaurants and like, while accessible to highway for Lake George etc.
Somewhat uneven internet, heating for winter visit a bit uneven for us (coming from Mediterranean climate) although not terrible.
breakfast downstairs was excellent and priced well. We were visiting relatives and they were nearby
rooms way too small. No room for toiletries in bathroom. No space in room to set things out. Only a desk surface which already has the coffee maker and water cups on it.
we liked the intimacy of the bar and the tenders were wonderful. All staff we encountered were kind and very friendly. The pool/hot tub is the best and is often like a private place. The food is good and reasonably priced. Bed was great.
The only thing we can say is that there is no Hall Mark channel on the TV.
overall atmosphere & comfort Lobby room size Bar/bistro Hospitality Location
Beds could be a bit more comfy Love the gracious setting of a world we see all too little of . . . yet spoiled by living in an age of pillowtop mattresses!
Classy old fashion hotel that is different than "cookies cutter" brand name accommodations. Good value for money. Very large room, very sunny (west facing rooms). Comfortable bed. Good wifi.
A mini fridge would have been nice.
Quaint. . .
Ramshackle, one tv not good, ho9t water took a while
Spacious, tastefully decorated room. Lovely public areas.
All electrical sockets are inconveniently located behind tables and down on baseboard. Inconvenient for battery charging needs in this day and age.
Breakfast dining was good. Good location if touring town, surroundings.
Shower operation poor. Small quarters. Prices at bar a bit high. Room prices high for what you got.
location large rooms
rooms to be updated poor/ tight bathroom slow servisse at breakfast
Charming old hotel w/ modern updates. Spacious first floor foyer. Bar & Restaurants very convenient off foyer.
The room was too small for two adults for the price. One chair; one nightstand. Room as advertised was said to have a flat screen TV. TV was a large older model. Took up too much space atop bureau. Room Ideal for one guest.
This hotel might be old and slightly flawed but the staff are excellent, professional but at the same time friendly. The on site bar\ restaurant served excellent bar and good quality food at sensible prices (unlike hotels in the UK) bedroom was very clean and huge! Bed v comfy so all in all I really couldn't find fault with this hotel. Added bonus is how charming the locals are in Glen Falls made our stop over so worthwhile
No breakfast included but still we could have purchased but opted to eat at a local cafe instead
Have stayed here the last two years.Comfortable, quiet and clean.Kids like the pool plus it's near numerous eateries, all within walking distance.
It was clean nea, nice staff and in walking distance to the civic center.
The location was pretty much the only good thing about this hotel! The lobby and old structure of the building was nice, but very misleading because the rooms were not nice!!
The room was outdated, smelled, and dirty! The carpet was disgusting and I wore flip flops in the shower!! The rooms need a major overhaul...
When we arrived, the hotel front desk indicated that they did not have our reservation. Luckily, I brought a copy of my Booking.com receipt. They looked up the reservation from the confirmation code and were nice enough to upgrade me from a Queen bed to a King Suite for the inconvenience without additional charge. Location is halfway between Saratoga Springs and Lake George.
Chose this hotel as unable to get a reservation in Saratoga Springs during busiest weekend at a decent rate. Located in the town of Glens Falls, NY. Center of town closes early with not much to do, or late night restaurants open. Hotel restaurant (Fenimores) had minimal tables catering to cocktail drinkers and did not have room to seat us for dinner at 8 pm. WiFi issues; inconsistent all weekend.
The lobby and indoor pool had old school elegance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The beds were very firm and I prefer something a little softer.
Free parking Location
Room too small Restaurant food fair Ice machine only on first floor
i liked the convenience of food and drink at Hotel. The Bar had live music from 9pm - 12pm which was pleasant. Many people stopped in off the street for a drink or to play a game while listening to the music. location was great, walking distance to many other restaraunts, bars and shops.
Stay was mostly good. Bed was a little uncomfortable but not terrible.
ROOM SIZE, PARKING
NIGHT CLERK 4 TO WHENEVER WAS OBNOXIOUS, CONDESCENDING DISMISSIVE OTHER EMPLOWEES ENCOUNTERED WERE COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL
There is no hot water before 6 p.m. When you have been cycling during 75 miles, you want to take a shower after checkhing in at the hotel. Nobody explain us this thing when we arrived.
Spacious hotel. Nice cozy room. Restaurant and bar - good, reasonable food. Cheaper than staying in Village George.
The location is about 12 miles from lake George, hub of activity, so a lot of up and down... Bathroom not comfortable Wifi, did not work after first day...
