Score from 4612 reviews Good
I like it because its just a walk away from all the good stuff. I can watch the good night life through my bedroom window. The show, concert, live music and people walking back and forth having a good time in their lives. I will definitely come back.
Front desk, young girls dancing on tables
Room dusty, average maid service, shoeer could not be regulated, either cold or near scalding!!
Im a history buff and didnt know any thing about the history of the hotel and was pleasantly suprised. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant Dupars in the hotel was excellent. In fact so good that i got some food from there to go for the trip home. I loved the location on Fremont Street. It was convenient for anything i wanted or needed. I plan on coming back in the future and using The Golden Gate as my Las Vegas base.
The bed was to soft my back was hurting all weekend
Excellent staff, room was small but well appointed.
Lots of construction all around. Also, I don't recommend a room on the Freemont Street Experience side!
The casino was a blast with the dancing girls and music!
The room was much smaller then I thought. Nice but cramped
Location on Fremont
Bathroom is extremely small but I guess the hotel is very old. No usable outlets in the room.
Closeness to Greyhound Everything else
Paying for resort fees I didn't need. I just wanted to sleep and gamble
Location Affordable Price
the bathroom looks worst than the ones in Istanbul.
The room was really small, the pictures on the Internet gave a false review of the hotel, the bathroom door bang the toilet when opening the door, and the view from our room was horrible looking at an air conditioning unit and trash that had been tossed from people windows was not romantic. ..
Nice staff location
I liked the atmosphere in the Casino
The self-parking was $1 per hour.
Cable TV was out. Never restored during my stay.
Old style Vegas at its best.. 1freemont st. If that doesn't say it all!
Access to the Fremont Street experiences. Com parking,
I was stuck for an extra night for business and for the money was great
Parking no self parking and the rooms very outdated
The retro schtick is what attracted us to the hotel and it has some retro flavor but not really enough to overcome its shortcomings given that Vegas has such an abundance of cheap lodging.
Room and bed were tiny and not very clean.
Sleazy people around
had to get a fan from maid to help me sleep....thought for the money I would have a more modern room....paid almost 90 dollars!
Location was in downtown Las Vegas. The room was just right for my stay. Room was renovated w/modern furniture upgrades.
Bathroom still had old tiles, which may have been retained to keep that classic look. Hotel doesn't offer shuttle service.
the room was just as it was described on booking. Com very clean and very quiet very close to the everything that I needed I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I go to Vegas
the only close parking is valet
Location adjacent to Freemont St.
Tiny bathroom, stubbing my toe on bathroom entrance step, long walk to elevator.
Free valet parking.
Everything was bad, the hall way was stinking, the room was nasty, and I could not wait for the night to be over, so I can run from there. The floors were shaky like the building was going to collapse one day. The so called free wifi will not allow me to connect to my servers and work. If you don't care about comfort then go there, but if you care about your comfort and clean air, run from this hotel. It's simply horrible, their Internet picture are deceitful. My son went into the bathroom to bath and the doors would not open I had to muster some energy to help him pull the door while he pushed it open, the water fussets would not work, hot/cold water everything was hot and would not mix for shower, I thought I would be burnt, I had to shut the water off. I have never written a single bad review for any hotel in my life but I feel like i need to speak out in this one maybe it will help someone. I'm sorry I have to be true to myself and maybe save someone a bad day.
Location and proximity to fremont and some of the historic casinos, parking ease/free valet, room was modern and had a cool view over main street...
For an old downtown hotel there was nothing to dislike really...
