Old building, no ac, smoke blowing in from vent(non smoking room), small room, had to squeeze into bathroom because toilet is in way of door. Staff didn't tell me valet was free for guests...I paid 40 bucks to park in garage.
1. Noise from construction. 2. Unexpected service charge. ※ Hotel charged me another $50 for some service fee which was not mentioned on website.
Resort fee over 20$ for night, which I found out during check in. I hate this kind of tricks for getting customers.
Room and view of wall
No Fridge A/C didn't work and was dirty Limited TV Chanels
Good hotel and location
Stay on the second floor, first floor is the casino with loud music. Shaking the room
I like it because its just a walk away from all the good stuff. I can watch the good night life through my bedroom window. The show, concert, live music and people walking back and forth having a good time in their lives. I will definitely come back.
They did'nt care about my reservation and told me to change the hotel
We liked the hotel we were transferred to, (The D). It is a newer hotel and casino that still has access to the Freemont Street experience.
The beds were lumpy, not too comfortable
Front desk, young girls dancing on tables
Room dusty, average maid service, shoeer could not be regulated, either cold or near scalding!!
Im a history buff and didnt know any thing about the history of the hotel and was pleasantly suprised. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant Dupars in the hotel was excellent. In fact so good that i got some food from there to go for the trip home. I loved the location on Fremont Street. It was convenient for anything i wanted or needed. I plan on coming back in the future and using The Golden Gate as my Las Vegas base.
The bed was to soft my back was hurting all weekend
Excellent staff, room was small but well appointed.
Lots of construction all around. Also, I don't recommend a room on the Freemont Street Experience side!
The casino was a blast with the dancing girls and music!
The room was much smaller then I thought. Nice but cramped
Location on Fremont
Bathroom is extremely small but I guess the hotel is very old. No usable outlets in the room.
Closeness to Greyhound Everything else
Paying for resort fees I didn't need. I just wanted to sleep and gamble
The whole place smelled like dirty diapers. The shower was dirty and so small I couldn't even bend over in it and I'm 5'2 and 110 pounds. The toilet was so stained I was afraid to sit on it. I found brown smudge on the sheet and a purple stain on the blanket. The tv was nice except the only channel that was the channel that did advertising for the hotel. Also if you get a room facing Fremont street you can hear literally everything all night. They charge a $20 resort fee and there is nothing that is resort about it. The rooms look nothing like the picture.
Location Affordable Price
Close to freeways & Fremont Experience. Enjoyed in house Cafe.
Small 1906 room with 2" step up tiny claustrophobic bath. Had to upgrade to larger re-furbished room, with normal bathroom, which was adequate but more expensive.Got injured on protruding sharp metal bed frame & reported to hotel security. Construction on street in front of property & no pool.
the bathroom looks worst than the ones in Istanbul.
The room was really small, the pictures on the Internet gave a false review of the hotel, the bathroom door bang the toilet when opening the door, and the view from our room was horrible looking at an air conditioning unit and trash that had been tossed from people windows was not romantic. ..
Nice staff location
I liked the atmosphere in the Casino
The self-parking was $1 per hour.
Cable TV was out. Never restored during my stay.
Old style Vegas at its best.. 1freemont st. If that doesn't say it all!
