Room was small.
Rooms were updated. Nice headboards, flatscreen TV, matress.
Though modern, it had the old confined space of the later years you had to deal with, along with the lack of modern conveniences, such as, air conditioning and consistent hot water for showers.
The location was right on the corner of the Fremont district and represented the decadence, glamor, and vivernace of Las Vegas. The had a beautiful contemporary modern touch to an old space.
Paid in cash but they still charged my card. Very noisy in the room until 1AM.
Small RMS n doorway to Bath rm
Bed was too soft, could use some upgrades because bathroom had some cracks and dirty floor. We tried a room near the courtyard and changed the next day. It was outrageously loud! The upside was that it was entertaining but we would know to ask for a room on the opposite side in the future.
Friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, free parking, close to convention center.
Could not open our curtains due to the platform for the zip line directly outside. They could look directly in our window if they were open. Bathroom was a bit cramped but clean.
Price location and and distance to downtown activities are right at your grasp. If a room not facing Fremont was available, it would have been even better.
I cannot complain about this Hotel. everything was excellent.
I like the fact that Alex the front desk clerk worked very hard and diligently to get us a room after the booking company failed to send my room's booking information. He even asked for the manager and was able to upgrade our room.
Very noise environment Windows are not noise proof, can't sleep week due the Freemont street. Bath very small and old fashions, needs and urgent remodeling
Cleanless and attention
Out dated, small rooms . Comfortable pillow top bed!
Reasonable pricing , clean and great location if you like old school Vegas!
The only complaint I had about staying at the Golden Gate is the noise level. Perhaps if there was an investment in double pain windows and insulation, I might have been able to sleep before 2 A.M. when things wind down at the Fremont Experience. It is a reasonable expectation to have a room quiet to sleep in when renting a room.
Every staff member I encountered was professional and friendly. The room was comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was excellent.
Every thing was great.
First room we had was TINY!! Only 1 elevator- hallways seemed humid
The suite was nicer than I anticipated after seeing the first room
When you call to reserve rooms, the people answering the phone were very rude.
Front Desk guy named Greg was very nice.
Why telling in first there's free wifi and car parking and many things it's for free It's ok I don't have car and I don't need wifi After when i make check out They charge me 22$ per night So how you want me to be happy?
There wasn't a lot of hot water for the shower.
I loved the history of the property and Dupar's excellent food. A traveler definitely needs to enjoy one of their cocktails.
On arrival the second room hadn't been book. Requested a second bed in the room, to be told that was in the small print if available. A room was available if I paid an extra 60 dollars. Rooms very small and require updating. Due to the location of the hotel if your expecting to sleep, the bands and music play until around 5 in the morning. To the point that the windows vibrate. Not the place for more than one night. The car park is not available until the early hours on a fri sat night as it's used for an over flow for the valet. Has to sit in the car for 2 hours to get parked as the parking in the area is limited. Not the best experience.
Location on Fremont street!!
Our room was next to an alley, it was so noisy we could barely sleep, bottles crashing and breaking, trash truck in the morning, bathroom had no vent, and was extremely small. air conditioner was not working either...
The bed was very comfortable
This boutique hotel was great. It truly is old Las Vegas. We requested a room facing Main Street and it wasn't to bad especially being right next to the Fremont Experience. The service was great and the room was very comfortable. When we go back to Las Vegas we are planning on staying here again. Thank you for a great weekend experience.
The entire building stunk of cigarette smoke...our room also stunk beyond belief...but worst of all, our room #232 was directly above the speakers for the entire casino blasting Michael Jackson far into the night making it impossible to sleep.
Trying to take a shower was B.S. with hot as hell or cold as hell being the options. Hotels during vacation are for sleep and a relaxing and refreshing shower only. What a shame half my hotel needs were not met.
Location, location, location. Very helpful and friendly staff at lobby front desk. If running a bath was my thing, water control worked fine...
Self parking a bit away from hotel so you have to hike. Noisy at night with the Freemont Street Experience. Giant gap under door. Room very small and shower leaked. Old building needed a bit of maintenance.
Great location. Clean room. Most of the staff was very helpful and nice.
This may not be true of all rooms in this property, but my room faced the Fremont St. band shell, so I heard the band until they quit at about 2 am. My room was also directly over the area where the bar is dumping their trash, so about every 5 minutes I got to hear the din of a can full of empty bottles being chucked into the dumpster. I had an all-day class to attend the next morning at 8 am.
The room was small, but very nice. Great use of colors, the furniture and fixtures felt very upscale. The hot water wasn't just hot it was HOT. This hotel has clearly remodeled with a vision of creating future business. Well done.
I like how the staff treat the peoples and how the maids kept the room clean
Comfortable, nice location.
They really need to have darkening blinds to pull rather than just a curtain that does not close completely to keep the neon lights out. They simply must put in double pane windows to keep out the noise. The bed slanted excessively.
Location is excellent, restaurant outstanding, good valet system, free wi-fi,
