Golden Gate Hall  

The only pros for this hotel is that it is cheap. The staff let me also leave by bag for a few more hours after checkout. But the room was so old-fashioned...

Fine for the money. Central location. Clean. Safe.

Ce n'est pas un hotel mais une maison d'étudiant. Les gardiens n'étaient pas au courant de notre arrivée, aucune femme de ménage pour changer les serviettes ou faire le ménage.

フロントの人が親切で感じもよく、観光などで路面電車を利用するのであれば大変便利でした。 トイレとシャワーは共用でしたが汚いということもなかったです。 部屋も思ったよりも広くランドリーも使えるので滞在しやすかったです。 無料で部屋でネットもちゃんと使えました。学生寮になっているようですが、夜中の騒音などは特にありません- でした。

お部屋の掃除・シーツ交換・ゴミ捨て、備品のコーヒーメーカー・ハンガーなどのサービスはないので少し不便- に感じました。延泊したのでゴミは自分で共用のゴミ箱に捨てました。 お部屋でのんびり過ごしたい方には向いてはいないと思います。

Bien ubicado para conocer el centro de San Francisco.

No se si tiene la categoría para llamarse hotel, la gente de la recepción no es capaz recomendar cosas por hacer donde ir al turista. Hay un olor muy fuerte en el edificio. Its more alike with a backpaker than a hotel. Couldn't get advises of what to do or where to go for visiting with the people at the reception. It is kind of university dorm renting.

It was excellent for me as I was attending the ballet and I needed to be close to the War Memorial Opera House.

My only complaint is that I stayed there 3 nights and my room was never cleaned during that time - I am a very neat and tidy person but I DO Like to sleep in a freshly made bed.

Great location for the price.

It was close to a BART stop

It wasn't in any case a hostel. It's a university dorm renting their empty rooms. The facilities were usually occupied by busy students so they were not kepr clean at all. The kitchen was not fully equipped. As the students had their own plates, pots and whatnot, there were not any available for the guests. We only found a dirty old pot and some plastic plates. They didn't have any cups or glasses, we left the morning after our arrival; it wouldn't have been possible for us to eat breakfast there, even the toaster was crappy!

Viel zu teuer Preis stimmte nicht mit Angaben auf booking.com überein (war deutlich teurer) Hotelbesitzer schien von booking.com-Buchung keine Kenntnis zu haben Kann sehr laut sein (Türen knallen, man hört jedes Wort, das auf dem Gang gesprochen wird, besonders schlimm wenn Jugendgruppen im Hotel residieren) Kein Service irgendwelcher Art (Zimmerreinigung, Frühstück) Kein Service der über das Minimum hinausginge (nur Hotelzimmer mit Möbeln, lautem Kühlschrank, bestenfalls mittelmäßigem Fernseher, Mikrowelle, kein W-Lan oder sonstiges)

Unsafe area

I am an experienced traveler that realizes that the reason why you are in a city is more about the city than the place you stay. This is a non- traditional place to stay with toilets and showers down the hall. Overall, clean and appears safe, but don't expect a formal check-in desk or lots of amenities like coffee or newspapers. You have to go out of the hotel for those. The price of the place offsets the lack of services.

Cheap and reasonably close to transportation, so all sf was easily accessible, bart station 5 blocks, Muni Station on same block.
