Everything about the hotel
Me losing my money lol but it's all fun & excitement
Beautiful location, nice & clean rooms, folks were friendly & helpful :)
To hot in the room!
Friendly staff, clean rooms and good rates.
Not enought places to eat late at night
We couldn't sleep because of noise from next room even after we changed the room.It was built poorly.
The Golden Nugget provided outstanding service from all its employees. I was very impressed with the high level of attentiveness and ability to help in every way possible. Also, the food at the location was worth every penny (Lillie's, Michael Patrick's, Chart House, Bean and Bread, & Chocolate Box). We were kept informed on everything going on in the resort by staff and felt that each person had our best interest in mind which I believe is important when one is spending a good amount of money on a trip. Overall it was an absolutely wonderful vacation.
The free wifi in the rooms was not the greatest but granted it is free. In the open areas of the resort it was a lot better. Unfortunately the walls are a bit thin which can make sleeping a little troublesome but not bad enough to spoil a good time by any means. Lastly, I did receive a wake up call that I believe was meant for another room quite early in the morning, 6:30, but I assume and hope this is an unlikely occurance and was just unlucky.
location, while not ideal for some, was great. nice to be off the main drag. you can take a small bus (for a small fee) to the main drag area, but we never did because the weather was terrible and there was no point. room was spacious and very comfortable. water pressure in shower was excellent. lovely toiletries. wifi very reliable (though a bit tricky to log into at first).
shower set up really odd - got the whole bathroom wet just taking an innocent quick shower. could use some major improvements. casinos were really slow, and service there was almost non-existent. maybe that was due to business being slow? not sure but it was really annoying. almost ZERO cocktail waitresses while you gambled.
Everything was great really enjoyed ourselves
I would enjoy more if they had an indoor pool and hot tub that customers can use at any time.
i didn't like the restricted floor where I couldn't even use the gym.
Room was comfortable
The entire place stinks of cigarettes. A real throwback to the 90s. The bars, casino, halls and room were super stinky.
Lobby smelled like stale cigarettes Check in lady was kind of rude Thin walls
everything the view the room
Basically I didn't see nothing I didn't like
location; limit on restaurants
The room was great and the bed was very comfortable
Didn't like the wait staff..especially the head waiter. Obnoxious and continuously trying to up sell our meal and drinks...when in fact what he offered was not a deal but would actually cost us more. Drinks were priced differently in the casino...the meal was delicious..be it overpriced.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and modern with a great view! The casino did not smell like smoke which was plus. Also the the room service food is very tasty and fairly priced !
The restaurants in the hotel are a little expensive.
Nice hotel for first time.upgrade our room to a suite without me asking.
The chicken sandwich we ordered for lunch wasn't fully cooked. Mention to waiter and had manager come by and see if we were ok and took price of entree off bill and offered to replace meal but we declined. Then had to wait 10-15 min to get our check after speaking to manager, by then they should of just comp the meal but didn't. Two coffees, juice and egg platter.
I liked the room.I liked early check in.
I didn't like that they canceled the Texas Hold-em tournament (due to Thanksgiving). The main reason I chose GN was so that I didn't have to leave Casino to gamble.I ended up having to take the Jitney way more than I wanted to so that I could play in a casino that had texas hold'em tournament!
A room was nice
1. far from the parking, the baggage should be dragged through the whole hotel 2. room was changed to the higher price without informing me beforehand
The place was beautiful, my room was great a little on the warm side but they sent engineer to the room and she fixed the AC in seconds! The bed was too soft but overall I had a great time eating and gambling!! Lol!
The bathroom could have been cleaner. Too many teeny boppers on Saturday night but that's commen in all Casinos Saturday night. Sunday was way better.
Room was good, clean and modern. Nice view to the Marina. There is free self-parking, valet parking costs $10.
During check-in, we were told that our room is upgraded to "luxury", but were not told that we had to pay for that upgrade. Only found that out during check-out. In the self-parking area, saw a car with a smashed window - watch out for crack-heads.
The bed was comfortable, staff was nice as well.
The hotel is not near anything so you need to take a jitney to the other casinos. Only close casinis are the borgata and Harrahs. The hotel does not offer a microwave! When we asked the front desk what our options were and she informed us to call room service and see if we could pay them to hear my food up? She suggested to pay someone to heat food I already payed for once. We ended up going to 7-11 and that was a hassle. Staying somewhere else next time. Rama our room attendant walked in without knocking. Make your presence known.
I was traveling with my elderly Father. We enjoyed dinner at what was a five star restaurant. I couldn't find a seat for 21,so I played Spanish 21 and the dealer was great. Problem was the front desk staff and management.
Front desk management
