The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and modern with a great view! The casino did not smell like smoke which was plus. Also the the room service food is very tasty and fairly priced !
The restaurants in the hotel are a little expensive.
Nice hotel for first time.upgrade our room to a suite without me asking.
The chicken sandwich we ordered for lunch wasn't fully cooked. Mention to waiter and had manager come by and see if we were ok and took price of entree off bill and offered to replace meal but we declined. Then had to wait 10-15 min to get our check after speaking to manager, by then they should of just comp the meal but didn't. Two coffees, juice and egg platter.
I liked the room.I liked early check in.
I didn't like that they canceled the Texas Hold-em tournament (due to Thanksgiving). The main reason I chose GN was so that I didn't have to leave Casino to gamble.I ended up having to take the Jitney way more than I wanted to so that I could play in a casino that had texas hold'em tournament!
A room was nice
1. far from the parking, the baggage should be dragged through the whole hotel 2. room was changed to the higher price without informing me beforehand
The place was beautiful, my room was great a little on the warm side but they sent engineer to the room and she fixed the AC in seconds! The bed was too soft but overall I had a great time eating and gambling!! Lol!
The bathroom could have been cleaner. Too many teeny boppers on Saturday night but that's commen in all Casinos Saturday night. Sunday was way better.
Room was good, clean and modern. Nice view to the Marina. There is free self-parking, valet parking costs $10.
During check-in, we were told that our room is upgraded to "luxury", but were not told that we had to pay for that upgrade. Only found that out during check-out. In the self-parking area, saw a car with a smashed window - watch out for crack-heads.
The bed was comfortable, staff was nice as well.
The hotel is not near anything so you need to take a jitney to the other casinos. Only close casinis are the borgata and Harrahs. The hotel does not offer a microwave! When we asked the front desk what our options were and she informed us to call room service and see if we could pay them to hear my food up? She suggested to pay someone to heat food I already payed for once. We ended up going to 7-11 and that was a hassle. Staying somewhere else next time. Rama our room attendant walked in without knocking. Make your presence known.
I was traveling with my elderly Father. We enjoyed dinner at what was a five star restaurant. I couldn't find a seat for 21,so I played Spanish 21 and the dealer was great. Problem was the front desk staff and management.
Front desk management
We spent a week in the USA but based ourselves in NYC We stayed at the Golden Nugget for just 1 night The hotel and staff were excellent We Wish we had stayed there and only spent 1 night in New York
Found nothing wrong
All was great; but my husband love the out door hot tub alongside the fire the staff was pleasant.my housekeeper frm Monday to Wednesday was a very polite person(Brianca)she see that our stay was well spend
On Thursday my service was not what I received from my first three day, we left our room at 12noon on return about 2:45 service was not meant although I call and they say someone would which they did but up till 4 I could not enter my room I think that cut our honey moon spirit but over all we look at it as a blessing.
Too bad Golden Nugget does not have high on there standards of customer satisfactions. The agent who checked us in was so unfriendly not a smle on her face so unwelcoming. The room smelled of vomit how it passed inspection is unknown to me thank goodness they did change our rooms. The next day I was injured walking into the corner of the bed. I am sure this is not uncommon the design of the bed is a hazard. I cut my skin open and needed band aid and first aid. I went to main desk bellhop told me to go buy a band aid not a care in the world as my leg was bleeding. I after expressing dissatisfaction with this employees response was sent to security who were somewhat kinder but still embarrassingly so caught up in trying to convince me to not file a report that they lost their humanity in the process. Hospitality and kindness are not a part of the Golden Nugget and for those reasons I would never refer anyone there
Self serve free parking. Quiet location
Outdated. Understaffed. Only one receptionist to check people in. Staff not knowledgable about activities for business that day. Kept sending us to the wrong area.
Pool area with jacuzzis and bar. Large spacious room with king size bed. Haven nightclub just downstairs.
Normal talking could be heard through the walls and doors. Never experienced such thin walls before!
Resturants, activities, comfort, value, friendly staff were all excellent.
The 17th floor housekeeping staff decided 8:45 A. M. was a good time to shout the days plans back & forth in the hallway. After late night celebrating B-Day and enjoying the casino, we would have liked to sleep a little later.
if you don't smoke it is overpowering
Well, it is really a beatiful hotel and casino, I recommend. But! The staff is not really kind when you ask for help. If you use public transportation they would never call the jitney for you, do it on your own somehow. And if you have that crazy idea that you fly from Atlantic City to somewhere, never do that!! It's almost impossible to go to the airport if you do not have at least $200 to spend. Rather go back to NYC by bus you go there, that's worth it.
The cocktail lounge was really nice, live music most of day & late hour band. We loved the view from out window. Staff was great and room service wonderful. The pool was very lovely and nice view.
The glass door opened out. Tub was slanted at back end where you access tub - no handrail, nothing to grab in or out. A rubber mat was provided but really doesn't help the design and safety.
Location, cleanliness, resturaunts, casino, staff...
paper thin walls!!! very annoying to hear people next door and people in the hallways all night!!
Good and exciting experience.
The view from my room was lovely.
There were tiny little bugs flying around mainly in the bathroom. My boyfriend and I got bite on our very 1st night there. Room service charged $4 for an 8oz off brand water bottle which isn't enough to quench an adults thirst your better off buying the Voss water for $7 in the room or going downstairs to the gift shop to purchase water or any other beverage. We are at the Grotti the food was bad and the drink even worse. The bathroom in our room leaked which is probably where all the little bugs that bite us came from. There wasn't enough action at the casino.
The convenience of not having to leave 5 he property.
The check out time was about an hour too early. Not enough time to sleep off your liquor. And the smoking rooms should be on higher floors. And the buffet was horrible!!!
The room was ok the food was fair
The staff was rude The prices where higher then needed to be and there casino hardly had any tables open past 12am it's like they only cater to seniors
It was comfortable and clean
The bathroom was poorly laid out. I would prefer to stay on the boardwalk for easier access to the beach.
I like the view from our room , the pool , the bars and restaurants for great price.
I didnt like the location , because every time we should to take a taxi to the center. The taxi drivers were rude, we didnt like that the bars and restaurants were closing so early through the week .
