location, room size, attentive staff
no newspaper at breakfast. wifi was insufficient in the dining area to catch up on news during breakfast. breakfast was unimpressive--mixed ham in with eggs, unable to eat them. tea water was cold.
Comfortable bed in a good location for my needs
Remodeling the breakfast zone... No real issue waffles were still good
Where the fridge was located...very unstable. The bed & TV layout was not a good "feel"
Location to Washington center was good.lake view nice A bit disappointed with breakfast and room was extremely cold
Advertising a capitol view was a stretch...could barely see the dome through the trees.
Clean with great location . We heard it had just been sold and upgrades were coming.
Booked suite for daughters engagement celebration. King suite was not a suite and a bit creepy- we felt embarrassed No HD TV and channel selection was bad When we checked out we got a grunt not how was your stay? Although night check in was ok
Our view was great!
We loved the view of the Sound and of the Capital building from our window. We were in close walking distance for browsing and eating.
bathtub was chipping which meant no bath hole in desk chair very noisy
Bed was hard, tv in strange location, water in shower constantly changed temperature. Construction outside the hotel started at about 5:30am and the noise was as if the windows were open. Construction inside the hotel started at 9:00am and was also very loud. Front desk employees didn't offer anything for the inconvenience of not getting much sleep due to all the noise.
I'm retiring to Olympia and wanted to spend the weekend in town while looking at houses. Being centered downtown, I liked the location of the Governor Hotel. My sister and I walked to the Oyster House for dinner and was surprised that there were other people out and about at night. The room was clean, comfy beds and nice view over the parking lot of the lake. The staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was a bonus and rates very reasonable. Having never stayed there before, I thought the remodel was nice in keeping with the age of the property.
The floor was being mopped while checking out at 9:30 a.m., which seemed strange when people were going to/from the breakfast room and taking luggage out the back door to the parking in the back. It would make more sense to do that either earlier in the morning or later at night. Also, there were kids running up and down the halls outside our room on the 6th floor at 1:30 a.m., which woke us up but then that wasn't the hotel's fault.
Your Latino cleaners and dining room staff were so polite, hardworking and efficient. The outdoor window washing staff were too!
Operating the TV without written directions was impossible .... even a challenge for your technician employee!
The downtown location made walking to restaurants and shopping easy.
Security intercom at the lower level parking is cumbersome at best. A card reader might be a better idea.
Great location Great views Very clean room Huge, comfortable bed Free underground car park Lift straight from car park to your floor Proper cooked breakfast offered, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles etc Within easy walking distance of everything including great neighbourhood bars and restaurants
Nothing really It sounds picky but why do all American hotels have guests eat off paper plates and try to spread butter with inadequately designed plastic knives. It detracts from whole experience.
Inside was remodeled and rooms were updated. Great location! We could walk to many restaurants and bars. Morning free breakfast was great.
Outside of hotel is outdated and dingy looking. It is not representative of the inside. The suite we had was really a king size room with an alcove for a desk. I wouldn't classify it as a suite. Front desk not very friendly, but got us our room in a timely manner.
location to down town
could be upgraded
Loved the little balconies and the bed was very comfortable.
The only complaint I would have is that the elevators were very slow. The night I checked in, I had 6 pillows. The 2nd night, cleaning staff had taken away 2 of the pillows.
Easy to find. Located right opposite a park. Comfortable and clean.
I liked how the room had a huge bed that was comfortable and the tv was nice because it was decent size. The continental breakfast was also really good and clean.
I didnt like taking a shower because the shower would be SCORCHING hot and then FREEZING cold. Everytime we left our door wouldnt work and were on the top floor (level 8) so I had to keep going to the lobby and Im pregnant... and house keeping knocked on our door 3-4 times even though we had the "do not disturb" sign up there for this pregnant woman could hardly sleep and that was around 9AM.
Walking distance to downtown restraunts and shops. Wonderful views. Clean rooms and comfy beds.
The park across the street was a bit scary as it was filled with a bunch of people on drugs. Not inviting to an out of town guest.
Great sleeping. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Poor room layout. Not enough drawers and closet space for two adults for a five day stay. Bathroom not so great, had several mold spots on ceiling , no fan, slow toilet, poor shower head. Staff not helpful with directions and info about Olympia.
Nice, comfortable, large and clean room. Quiet. Free parking and internet. Fabulous view.
Unfocused staff during checkout.
Nice (simple) continental breakfast, nice decor, comfortable beds, excellent downtown location, friendly staff, large room, in-room coffee and refrigerator, free parking & wifi. Ask for a room facing the lake. Discounted rate found on booking.com = good value.
Bathroom: mold on the ceiling above tub, dirty tile grout on floor, mis-matched touch-up paint on walls. Could use a little attention to detail. Pillows too thick for my liking.
What a great place. .rooms were excellent. And view was beautiful. .oh don't miss breakfast
Can't think of anything
