Location and price
Room not clean enough
Staff was great but they always seemed "out" of it. The room was nice and cozy but not tip-top clean. The price was great though and the location was superb. Overall, I definitely recommend to anyone.
Could you some elbow grease in the appearance and cleanliness department. It has a lot of potential to be such a nice little BB or hotel.
That I had a room to sleep in for 6 hours and slept well.
There was no information provided when I booked the room that there were basically little to no services. When I tried to call to tell them I would arrive much later than planned, there was no answer and no call back. My daughter was meeting me there to spend the night and I told her to go ahead and just show up. When she got there a sign said to call a name and number after 6:00 p.m. She called and the person called back and told her that the key was under the mat and our room keys were in a china hutch. They claim to be a "Bed & Breakfast" but I saw the forms for breakfast filled out by the residents at 9:00 a.m. the next day but there was no food or anyone to speak with as I left. I was very disappointed in the lack of communication. Obviously for good reason. They don't spend any money on their services or upgrades for their rooms... Check w/Air B&B next time!
Rude staff. Dirty hotel. Did not give us what we wanted
Free Breakfast delivered to your door. Unique loft set up with terrace Quirky charm. More like staying in a friend's home than in a hotel. Beautiful, quiet area near the river. Potential to be a jewel with renovations and proper cleaning..
Housekeeping is very poor, even for a bed and breakfast. During our stay, there was no cleaning, only beds made and towels changed. No on site staff after 5pm or before 9am. Upstairs Tv did not work.
If you want to ruin the holidays to Nee York, this is the place! It is a place that only has defects and no merit: dirty, full of dust, retro furniture and not cared groomers that are not made on a daily basis but only on request-there is always someone at reception-after a certain time the reception is closed and there is no one to help you, no care for the customer. The metro is not very close. Poor me!
Very different from the pictures. The shampoos in the shower was leftover from previous residence. Very small and noise room. The front door is locked and I waited for 20 minutes until someone opened the door after I called the number in their email.(they posted a different number on the door but no one answers the phone). Very bad experience.
I did not like that the TV had only one channel to view and it wasn't even a news channel.
NO BED BUGS and the beds were carefully taken care of.
There was a little kitchenette and they could have cleaned the little breakfast dishes we left there, as well as the little eating table, since anyways they were doing the beds. The room was a little dusty so it made me sneeze.
Dusty room even after cleaning request. Kitchen interior completely broken and nearly no equipment. Dangerous electric cables through the room. TV just partly working. Mouse in our room. Man at the reception desk extremely harshly, unreasonable price! Never come back.
Bathroom was nice
Extremely dusty even after request to clean. Dangerous electric cable plus TV was just partly working. Interior of kitchen was completely broken and almost no equipment. Mouse in the room. Unkind man at the reception - no apology and regret at all! Unreasonable price.
I'm Genius user which means I have used booking in a constant basis. I can tell you this is the worst hotel I've ever been. To make the long story short, I made check in and stayed for half an hour only. After all I preferred to lose my money than lose my 5 days in NYC. Also the manager is so so rude !
Good hotel for the price. Simple but good!
Cleanliness, maintenance, lack of basic things one expects in a hotel (drinking glasses, ironing boards, etc.)
The Location and for the price it is hard to complain.
The room was dusty and there were no towels in the bathroom. There was nobody on staff when we arrived (9:00pm). The pictures on the website are completely misleading. They do not acurately represent the rooms and/or the hotel.
This place is beneath contempt. There is no comparison between its publicized photos and the grim reality. The hotel is filthy. When we arrived, it was clear that the room was vacated moments earlier and had not been touched by any cleaning efforts. The garbage cans were full, we found empty soda cans everywherre, and worst of all, there were no clean towels or sheets. enter at your own risk!!
Absolutely perfect. It has an old world ambiance that reflects the age of the building. Very clean with awesome staff, particularly Jaime Lynn, Lauchlan and Larry. Don't change a thing guys as it would detract from the charm.
We loved the location as I used to live on the Upper East side. You cannot beat this area.
I did not like the fact that the rooms are completely outdated. There were only 2 bath towels for us which we had to use for 2 days before we received another clean set. There were no hand towels or wash cloths. It was the bare minimum. We were brought a carafe of coffee in the morning our first morning there with no spoons and no mugs to drink and stir the coffee with. The second morning we never received our complementary breakfast at all. The third morning we did receive the breakfast in mugs. It felt like more of a old run down studio apartment which was overpriced than an inn.
Not clean, which means the entire stay was horrible. I checked out early and was charged $100 to leave"
I liked the space and amenities in the room, the plentiful breakfast, the location, the polite and helpful employees.
I liked the free upgrade. Silent room. Surprised by kitchenette and fridge. New ac. Satellite tv with flat screen.
Hardwood floor, not carpet. Bed was comfy but pillows were hard and flat.
