Location, interior design, restaurant, attentive staff and nice pool.
Ceiling and walls a little thin.
Staff, location, pool. Nice new restaurant and bar.
Lack of sunbeds (6 in total). Bar prices.
Great location, the room was clean and nice, each floor has frit water and coffee during the day, a nice touch.
A/C was a bit old and noisy, valet car parking at $32 a night is something you should be aware of.
Great stay, friendly staff, all was well. The pool got crowed at times but nothing to really complain about. Excavations next door were a let down as there was so much noise coming through the room.
The bathroom was quite small and had a few insects from next doors excavations. Otherwise nothing else was wrong.
Bed was comfortable. Location was good. Service was pleasant.
It was a messy construction site. All of the hallway rugs looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. The ac unit in my room was noisy and dirty. Bathroom was also not really clean. Everything felt tired and old. It was fine. I was there one night. But it was just ok overall.
very dirty, old, smelly. requested change from booking.com but no time to do. we changed room which was better but still dirty and very low end.
Great stay here, staff were very helpful!! Having been to LA before and not really liking it, I now realised I stayed in the wrong place in the wrong area!!!! This hotel was perfect for us!!!
Really friendly and helpful staff
When the bellman got our things out of the car he must have broken the hook for hanging items in the car. Either he didn't notice or he didn't say anything about it. I didn't hang anything when I left, but I found the broken piece when I got home.
The building work was very disruptive and there seemed to be no attempt to apologise or compensate.
Parking Charges were extortionate Pool dirty - not obviously cleaned on a regular basis. Air-conditioning in the rooms was very poor. Rooms not cleaned daily.
My partner (21) and I (25) stayed at the grafton for one night on our way through Hollywood. We found it to be a very central location and a very clean and friendly hotel. The next morning we needed to find a way to get down to Anaheim, with out a problem the font dest organised us a driver who was also very friendly. If we return to Hollywood we would book the grafton again without hesitation.
Close to everything staff were lovely
some staff rude
noise above to noisy
Finally, a reasonably priced AND charming LA Hotel! Excellent Restaurant, except as noted. Staff well informed and, more importantly, very solicitous and helpful.
For a new restaurant, the prices in the restaurant are exorbitant. The food and service were excellent but the prices were at least 15% too high for the value given, the location, etc.
The location was great.
At 2:00 I heard my door knob giggle and a few minutes later, someone knocks on my door and asked me if the shower was on. He woke me out of a deep sleep and didn't have a uniform of any type. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they said there wasn't a management person there. The next day when I contacted the manager, he told me the person was from security and there was a smoke alarm that went off in my room. There was no audible smoke alarm and it was pretty creepy that someone was knocking on my door at 2:00 am when I was with my teenage daughter and the front desk had no idea but later management said a smoke alarm went off...which no one heard. Further correspondence indicated that there wasn't an issue. I was in a hotel, I should have been safe and after the knock both my daughter and I were up all night.
Location, comfort and staff.
No tea and coffee making facility in room. One available on ground floor foyer during certain times of the day. When we used it the water was luke warm.
The pool is beautiful.the perfect location
The price for the location
Convenient location. Size of double bed room was good. Staff was pleasant. Valet courteous.
Small pool with no sunlight. Lack of soundproofing between floors. Overpriced for type of hotel ($415 for 1 night). Overpriced parking ($36). Interior fit and finish quality average to below average; for example, cracked bathroom tiles on floor. Reception lobby and amenities light for price. No view. Patrons smoking weed.
Too noisy you could hear everyone walking from room above. Gentleman on front counter rude. We were guest easy to explain than get on the back foot.
The hotel was in a great location and the room was perfect for what we needed. It was also nice to have the pool area and had great views over the city.
Although the hotel was great in most ways, we were unfortunately let down on our check out. We stored our luggage after check out so we could spend some time by the pool before catching our flight home. When we returned to collector luggage, we were informed by the gentleman on the front desk that the porter would be with us shortly as he was helping another guest. After 10 minutes, we queried again as we needed to leave to catch our flight. Again we were informed he would be with us soon. We asked the gentleman if we could collect the bags ourselves and were told the room was locked. We asked if he could get them but he said there was only one key. When the porter finally arrived after a further 10 minutes, he approached the man on front desk who unattached the keys to the room and gave them to the porter. We did not appreciate this as the man advised when we asked that he did not have a key and couldn't help us. The porter was very helpful and efficient as we advised we were running late for our flight. The man on the desk overheard us talking this, he was very defensive and a little rude. Unfortunately after such a pleasant stay at this hotel, our final experience which we walked away with was a bad one.
Location, modern decor, free wifi, small size
Plastic cups in rooms (no wine glasses), had to turn on/off bedside lamp at the wall, switch dent seems to work.
Location great Remodel to be better Restraunt sheik
Parking was expensive
The staff were able to inform us of restaurants, bars and live music close to the hotel. They gave us discount coupons which was great. All our questions and inquiries were dealt with in a very friendly manner. Great place!
