The way I was treated. Makes you feel like home.
Not gentil at all and very insufficient service !!!!!!
The amazing vibe of the lobby and adjacent bars is incredible. All the staff were polite helpful and friendly.
The roof terrace is now -as of a year ago - firmly off-limits to guests of the hotel which is disappointing. Wifi is $16 a day which is just unacceptable in a five-star hotel. I did ask for the charges to be waived on check-in which they were, but they still appeared on my bill and had to be removed. Surely this is not necessary!
I love the location, decor and ambience of the GPH. In every way, this hotel is inspiring!
Having to pay for wifi as a guest at hotel was disappointing, but that's the only negative thing I can say about GPH.
the charming decor everywhere, the location, the unique feel of the hotel
The concierge lady Joy was wonderful and a huge reason to revisit due to her warmth towards us and helpful hints of where to eat etc. The quartet on Tuesday nights in The Rose Bar is a must for anyone into Jazz. The backed Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett on their tour together. Memorable
Room couldn't be cooled below 77 degrees
Fabulous rooms, just what you would expect from a former Schrager hotel. Helpful staff.
Why oh why do they still charge for WiFi? These days it should be free for all residents. One pays enough to stay in the hotel to not be insulted by having to pay for such an essential service.
The bars at the hotel are beautiful ! But the restaurant maialino is fantastic!
They close the upstairs terrace just for private events!
The fabulous staff and location, location, location
the cramped bathroom
The atmosphere, the location, the interior!
That wifi is not for free!
Style, comfort, great front of house staff, and perfect Manhattans in the bar.
Charging for wifi is cheesy.
Outstanding bar, restaurant and coffee shop within the hotel.
Paying for WiFi
everything, excellent hotel.
to pay for wifi? at this day and age? and with room room rates close to USD 700 per night..wifi must be for free.
We loved pretty much everything about this hotel. It's beautiful, hip, comfy and in one of our favorite areas of Manhattan. We are from the east coast but now live in San Francisco. This hotel was a fantastic little getaway while visiting our families over Christmas.
Need more T.V. Channels!
Loved the style and location
Staff - wifi charge Lack of ability to get drink as bar closed
Great service, stuff from doormen to front of house to room maids etc all went out of their ways to help. Beautiful room and lobby furnishings. Really great birthday cake treat too. Thank you so much.
The bed pillows on the first night have absolutely ruined the last 2 days of our 4 day NY trip. My neck has been so affected that I have been in severe pain for those two days (including today). I asked for a softer pillow on the second night but it was too late. I am in pain and now back in the UK it has not eased up. I'm quite upset and still in pain and may need medical help. The room otherwise was beautifully kept.
Wifi not included in the high room rate Lack of service
Comfortable bed Great ambiance in room Friendly turn down and cleaning staff
Slow to assist outside Wouldn't let guest in rose bar even though I had access with two guests Terrible encounter with DJ and guest; very racist comments to guest Poor service in restaurant
Excellent concierge service. Joy was outstanding and made the stay memorable with her help and advice. Rooms have a distinctive style but are fun and very comfortable. Bar a great place to meet and chat.
Not old that you have to book for breakfast and have to wait until 10am on Saturday/Sunday as it is a Brunch service. Service itself was very, very slow and a bit offhand and impersonal on one occasion, which let's the rest of the Hotel down.
Concierge was very helpful and gave great recommendations
Front desk staff was cold, unfriendly, not welcoming, a bit snooty
Loved the location, the room, the bed and the lobby. This is a beautiful, small hotel that is very classy.
The bar was great, friendly and good service, even enjoyed going for a drink on my own. The gym was functional but a bit small - you had to wait for the cross-trainer or treadmill. Being near the 6 metro line made going uptown or downtown very easy. The hotel were great at booking hair appointments and restaurants!
Lots of unnecessary furniture in the room, dining chairs a huge table and a big uncomfortable sofa. We pushed all the furniture out of the way to have enough room to move around. It was a bit dark everywhere.
