The location !
The very small rooms
The location was great, the room size was good as well.
The room was a bit weathered .The staff was nice.
Romantic feel throughout the hotel
No ice machine on floor levels
We loved everything about Gramercy Park Hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We loved the room, the location and the entire scale and vibe of the property. Everyone in My group wants to come back and stay here again!
The staff at any hotel are key to making your stay an enjoyable one and the staff at GPH are outstanding. Particularly the reception staff who couldn't do enough to assist.
Would benefit from just a little more lighting!!
The location close to Union Square is nice
I'm a frequent traveller in business but this time travelled with my family. Room not ready when we arrived after midnight from a long haul flight from Europe. We had to wait for 30 minutes until the staff told us we got an upgrade to a better room, which was just fake statement and we probably got a much worse room than we paid for our 650 USD/night. Very noisy air condition that stopped working two of the three nights we stayed. Would not recommend this hotel.
Although this hotel is located in the center of the city, it is in a quite little nook that feels private and luxurious. All you have to do is walk one block and you're right back in the mix of the exciting city. Also, the rooms are comfortable, modern and well decorated and the staff at the hotel really do meet your every request with a smile. I never want to stay anywhere else when I'm in New York.
That I can't live at Gramercy Park Hotel.
Hotel and most especially the Jade and Rose Bar's are now NY hot spots! Fantastic location, stunning rooms and cool, but friendly staff - can't recommend enough!! Also the availability for ultra cool fixie bicycles outside was a real bonus for those brave enough to face the NY streets and traffic!!
GpH move with the times and make daily internet access part of the package!!!
Hotel staff and management are extremely considerat and helpful
Bed was comfortable. Restaurant was great. Easy walking distance to everything.
Room a little over furnished making it a bit cluttered.
Outstanding art collection!
Unfortunately the terrace is only available for private Events.
location lobby and restaurants Staff was friendly
Hallways were not airconditioned and they smelled foul The a/c in the room did not keep a constant temperature and so the room got extremely hot at night and there seemed to be no way to turn it on again. Therefore we didn't sleep. Rooms on the street side were very noisy even with earplugs. Garbage trucks going by at regular intervals.
great decor, friendly and helpful service fab location and buzzy/trendy hotel bar.
shame such a high end hotel doesnt include wifi in the rooms. this should be as standard nowadays, more so at this price point
The staff were excellent. Donovan? And a young bloke on the concierge desk on the morning of Sunday 13 July. Top notch.
The food at the restaurant was nice.
The carpeted floor and velvet curtains felt old and dusty. the lighting in the room was not sufficient, it always felt too dark when we were getting dressed.
The room was very dark and the small closet was stinking. It had a terrible odor. The worst part was the concierge, who made mistakes in our reservation twice and made us show up at the wrong time at wrong place !!!!! She totally messed up our night leaving us frustrated with out any reservations on a busy New York night. In another occasion she misinformed us about a tour we wanted to take !!!! Do Not TRUST their concierge and do your own fact finding and reservations.
Location, staff was great, access to Gramercy Park
Had to call room service for ice
Loved the location-off a quiet street but located in easy walking distance of some great neighborhoods. The turn-down service was quite unexpected and delightful. Great service and care. Also nice that guests can automatically get reservations to the more 'exclusive' bar during the evening.
The rose bar, while fun and with good atmosphere seemed like more of a pickup bar for grabby sleazy men with money and russian lady escorts- which was not much fun for me an my friends. Also the music was really loud and made it hard to converse.
We loved the location, the staff (especially the doormen) were all excellent. Any issues we had with the room were promptly taken care of. The restaurant in the hotel was incredible. The park across the street and area were beautiful and the room was really unique and special and well appointed. We were not bothered by any noise at all. Very nice stay and only a few blocks away from the subway which we used to get around the whole week. We liked Gramercy Park the best out of all the areas in NYC that we visited. We would definitely stay here again.
When we booked with your service, we were under the impression that the rate was steady at $450 per night but when we got the final bill, we were charged $545+ for one of the nights. The hotel got in touch and said that is how we booked it with your service. I would like to see a copy of the booking since I am not finding it. Everything else was wonderful although we wish we could have been able to visit the rooftop terrace but it was for private parties only.
Bartender John was great. Hotel restaurant was excellent. Concierge was great!
The roof terrace was advertised to hotel guests but upon arrival was informed that use of the terrace is now only available for private events and has been that way for the past 8 months. False advertising!!!
Room service late at night was sloppy to the extent that they didn't ask what temperature I wanted my steak cooked, and they decided not to put fries with my club sandwich [even though I don't eat fries].
Super location , very nice design and very clean ! Great Bar with live music . Munich
Big windows in the room but you can't open them ....
