Excellent location in a fairly quiet part of the city. The staff was friendly and efficient. Bed was comfortable, double room large enough for our needs.
Cooling unit in room was loud and we also heard a fair bit of noise from the elevator. Wifi was difficult to connect to, and often slow...it really should be complementary for the guests.
Atmosphere and staff
Location and noise of the streets around
The room we had was very large but that may have been because it was a handicapped room though we are not handicapped. Bed was comfortable.
Bath fixtures - water flow in shower was weak; concierge gave us subway and walking directions to 9/11 Museum but did not allow a mature couple who walk slowly to get there with any spare time - we had to rush to make sure we got there in time for our timed ticket time; no coffee or tea in the room.
Access to all the good restaurants, bards and Delis. Gramercy Area is an pleasant area to stay and hotle has private access to Gramercy Park for hotel guests
Limited dining facilties in the hotel.
Having to be put on wait list to access hotel bar ...ludicrous & pretentious
Beautiful decor and outstanding art collection.
No access to roof top terrace which is now only used for private events or Rose bar (without prior reservation).
Great location and nice decor.
It was my first time in New York and i initially thought it was the best choice we made but we were wrong, the room was minuscule, the staff were unhelpful. For a 5 star hotel, we didn't feel that we received the service we paid for, which was a shame. You paid $16 a day for internet use, however wifi is free in the lobby. We definitely wouldn't go back there but it was an interesting experience, we didn't like it, you might, so please give this hotel the benefit of the doubt.
Staff was exceedingly accommodating and attentive, decor was beautiful and luxurious, swanky vibe, very comfortable room and great neighborhood with lots of great eateries nearby.
The hotel lobby and room were extremely dark which made it hard to see and read but it added to the great vibe.
We were fortunate to have had the hotel recommended to us by a friend, and the only negative was the South African exchange rate. Wonderful experience.
Whilst in keeping with the decor,we found everything outside the bar/entertainment area, a little dark.
Good location rooms. Goodf but tired as are corridors
Poor service. Good chambermaids though
Jr. Suite was a good size Food and Room Service Excellent Staff friendly and supportive
No coffee machine in room Outside of building was under construction.
Terrace and park across street Nice part of town Comfy slippers
Too dark! Decor not to my taste chunky furniture and large hanging lights made room feel smaller Overpriced Cafe at lobby level too formal Aesop bath products
The location !
The very small rooms
The location was great, the room size was good as well.
The room was a bit weathered .The staff was nice.
Gorgeous rooms, and absolutely stunning environs. The lobby smells like heaven, the lighting in the guest rooms is gorgeous, and we received an upgrade upon arrival. A simply beautiful, luxe boutique hotel in a great location.
This is such a small thing... A couple of times when we left, there was no staff outside to give us directions or help hail a cab.
Romantic feel throughout the hotel
No ice machine on floor levels
We loved everything about Gramercy Park Hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We loved the room, the location and the entire scale and vibe of the property. Everyone in My group wants to come back and stay here again!
The staff at any hotel are key to making your stay an enjoyable one and the staff at GPH are outstanding. Particularly the reception staff who couldn't do enough to assist.
Would benefit from just a little more lighting!!
The location close to Union Square is nice
I'm a frequent traveller in business but this time travelled with my family. Room not ready when we arrived after midnight from a long haul flight from Europe. We had to wait for 30 minutes until the staff told us we got an upgrade to a better room, which was just fake statement and we probably got a much worse room than we paid for our 650 USD/night. Very noisy air condition that stopped working two of the three nights we stayed. Would not recommend this hotel.
Although this hotel is located in the center of the city, it is in a quite little nook that feels private and luxurious. All you have to do is walk one block and you're right back in the mix of the exciting city. Also, the rooms are comfortable, modern and well decorated and the staff at the hotel really do meet your every request with a smile. I never want to stay anywhere else when I'm in New York.
That I can't live at Gramercy Park Hotel.
Hotel and most especially the Jade and Rose Bar's are now NY hot spots! Fantastic location, stunning rooms and cool, but friendly staff - can't recommend enough!! Also the availability for ultra cool fixie bicycles outside was a real bonus for those brave enough to face the NY streets and traffic!!
GpH move with the times and make daily internet access part of the package!!!
Hotel staff and management are extremely considerat and helpful
Bed was comfortable. Restaurant was great. Easy walking distance to everything.
Room a little over furnished making it a bit cluttered.
Outstanding art collection!
Unfortunately the terrace is only available for private Events.
location lobby and restaurants Staff was friendly
Hallways were not airconditioned and they smelled foul The a/c in the room did not keep a constant temperature and so the room got extremely hot at night and there seemed to be no way to turn it on again. Therefore we didn't sleep. Rooms on the street side were very noisy even with earplugs. Garbage trucks going by at regular intervals.
