Bathroom separated by curtain.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Convenient location.
Very pricey. TV set up was less than desirable.
Not a lot
The decoration which is like Christmas in Disneyland The fact that our room was in front of a wall and had no view No coffee maker in room, no fridge Some people might like the false 'kitsch'. We didn't
Decor, bedding, bathroom size, amenities, cleanliness all great. Service from: Spa, bar, night audit and valet staff friendly and accommodating Great product line pruvia? in spa and treatment was great(thanks Kathy!)
Noise level! No sleep, loud equipment in building and lots of traffic sounds. Impersonal and inaccurate service from front desk and hostess staff. Over priced and everything in the immediate area is overpriced(obviously out of their control but their are much more affordable and quaint areas in Aville to stay)
Quality of the hotel
Hard for me to be at an european style hunting hotel in Ashevile USA. But things are fine and the staff is friendly.
Dog across the hall barked all day.
Great staff and restaurant.
Our room was about 100yards from the railroad track lot of trains at night.
The friendliness and knowledge of the staff. The convenient location to downtown Asheville.
The complexity of internet access and the lack of wireless access.
Modern equipment in rooms but very cozy classic feel to the whole hotel. Staff was awesome and so are all the services and food they offer.
I did not like that the train station was near the hotel. Be sure to ask for a room that is furthest away from the tracks. Better thicker windows would do the rooms more justice.
We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed a nice dinner at the Red Stage restaurant. Our server was excellent. The decor was nice. The room was small but nice and a reasonable price for this type of hotel.
Our stay was a special occasion for it was my birthday and I was planning to get engaged in the hotel on this evening. I called a couple times in advance to make special arrangements, a special table or table settings at the restaurant, champagne in our room. Although I was told this wouldn't be a problem, none of my arrangements were taken care of. They were completely ignored actually which was very disappointing. When we checked out the lady at the front desk gave me a free dessert coupon for the next time we came in since it was my birthday the night before. I'm not sure why that could not have been offered the night before since everybody knew of our plans. The staff was very friendly but unfortunately for us, they did nothing to make our night special. Arrangements at a nice hotel such as this for our engagement/birthday should have been easy.
Quiet and the art
Bathroom didn't have a door room was smallish for money
Best hotel we stayed in during our USA holiday. Rooms were luxurious and comfortable. Staff were incredibly helpful and nice. valet service was great. Building was amazing and attached restaurant was delicious! Highly recommend this hotel!! loved it!!
nothing I didnt like
Spacious room, nice decor
Having to cross the street to pick up the car
I travel a lot, both domestic and internationally. This was one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed, from nearly every perspective.
The Grand Bohemian is a destination in itself. Its decor is a fun mix of European hunting lodge and East Village, NY--very eclectic. The staff couldn't be more helpful, from the moment you arrive and they present you with a glass of Champagne, to the reservations they offer to make for meals. I'd recommend it highly.
Location and friendly staff.
It is very dark and there are no balconies and the windows are very high so the light is limited. Our dinner in the restaurant was very mediocre. The meat was not prepared correctly although the service was excellent.
Comfortable beds, luxurious bath, great artwork throughout the hotel. It felt a bit like a hunting lodge. Don't miss breakfast at the Corner Kitchen!
Friendly helpful staff. The hotel is beautiful from top to bottom. I'm already planning to come back!!
The hotel was amazing. Very close to the Bilmore and the village.
The location is great, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The hotel was a tad loud (heating system hummed all night) and the views were nothing to write home about.
Shower would not close from inside. Expected a soaking tub and was very disappointed that room did not have one Room service food was very poor. Banana was rotten and oatmeal was cold. Front desk staff was not friendly and unwilling to accommodate room issues
Very stylish facility! VERY nice, friendlyVery helpful Front Desk staff! Top notch Hotel! Liked the art displayed throughout the Hotel. Valet staff very helpful and efficient. Gallery personnel very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Great restaurant...The Red Stag- awesome breakfast!
Bed too firm....
The staff was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Loved the art work and sculptures around the hotel. Very Old World but luxurious at the same time.
The first room we were in, the bed sheets were soiled and had hair. Having a hotel background, if I was a hotel inspector, Grand Bohemian would receive an automatic fail. The hotel had a couple misses. I did not really like that there wasn't an actual door separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. The TV picture wasn't great quality and sat on a desk which made the TV cables and power cord exposed on the wall. If I am paying $300 a night, I expect beyond exceptional.
Very nice and upscale. Glass of champagne when you walk in and very high service.
Walking across a 4 lane road to get to your room from the lobby. Can spend the same amount of money and get a whole lot more at other places nearby. Won't be staying here again.
