Grand beautiful hotel, efficient friendly staff. My hair dryer went faulty , the staff made sure it was replaced that morning.
The bed was too squishy for me and the room small for two queen beds.
It had a pool and a fairly nice pub.
The pool could be a little nicer, but the kids enjoyed it.
Had a train station just feet away from lobby and it is about 45 to 60 minutes from Grand Canyon. Well maintained hotel. Staff were friendly. Would recommend to young families.
Liked every part of the experience
The people at the facility & the train were first class !
Not really a "bad" experience, but wi-fi was very spotty in terms of availability and extremely slow when it was available.
Great location and very well-maintained property,
Did not have time to find faults
Location and town
Nothing really but we did feel very young (we're early 30s).
Williams is small but everything is within easy walking distance and having the train for the Canyon just outside was ideal. Rooms were a good size and the whole place just had a nice feel about it
For those depending on Amtrak's erratice service it is a problem that there is no proper method of warning guests of the almost inevitable delays.
It is well-organized, comfortable, reasonably priced and serves the purpose well.
No hot water for shower first a.m.
we were traveling through Williams to another destination so we were only at the hotel for approximately 12hours. When we got up to leave there was not any hot water in the shower. I took a cold shower and my wife passed. I mentioned that we did not have hot water to the front desk when checking out more as an informational purpose to let them know than anything else. The front desk clerk said we should have called maintenance (which we probably would have done if we had more time) and that since we booked our room through a third party there was nothing she could do for us, which I thought was really poor customer service.
If you are looking for a luxury experience, this isn't it.
It's functional, comfortable and clean. You can't ask for a better location for Bearizona, Williams or the Grand Canyon Railroad.
Checking in wasn't so easy, there was some confusion which I always dislike.
The hotel is right next to the train station, making it easy for us with small children. Everything was decorated and looked wonderful.
Nearness to railroad for Polar Express. Breakfast at the Depot Cafe where staff most helpful and efficient
The city of Williams could use a face lift, it looks to run down. Didn't feel safe walking around the small shops. The WiFi at the Hotel was whey to slow, it drowe me nuts, they can definitely use a better provider with more speed.
The Train ride was nice, and the food was great too.
Grand Canyon Hotel is located in a beautiful little town - Williams. We arrived early November and the town was setting up for Thanksgiving and Christmas - it was beautiful. The lobby of the hotel is magical with a massive Christmas Tree and decorations along with super comfy leather couches around a massive open fire - MAGICAL
Easy access to the ticket office and train. They put on a pre-train ride show and incorporate it into the ride. The train ride might get a little boring if it weren't for the entertaining efforts of the very friendly staff. It was fun and of course the canyon is spectacular .
Trying to find the room and then elevator. The layout is very confusing!
Very nice hotel with a wonderful staff and location.
Friendly bar for an evening meal. Old railway history.
Room was nice. Easy check in. Restaurant on site. Open until for later arrivals, close to Historic downtown.
food, furnishings, soft bed, and staff's abrupt rude manner. Even though we had booked package deal, we had to change to three different rooms over a four day period.
convenience to Grand Canyon
Miles from the Amtrak station which is in the middle of nowhere. Then we were given the wrong directions by Reception for the Arizona Shuttle and nearly missed it.
Good room. Hotel full of character
furnishings in the room were old and drab... doorman walked in front of us as we entered and did not even hold the door open... the cost of the room...
Mattresses were worn out - backaches and loss of sleep
Nice up-to-date room decor
Very clean and comfortable bed.
great place close to everything
