Grand Hyatt San Francisco Union Square    

Very central for shops, restaurants, bars etc. Live acustic guitarist /singer in the bar was really good, as were the staff in there. Recommended us a great restaurant too.

Could hear the people in the ajoining room - 1st night throwing up at 3am and 2nd night banging on doors to get in their room at 2am. Windows not sound proof to outside noise either. Stupid shaped sinks in the bathroom -covered in water every time we used it. Ended up putting a flannel under the tap to stop the splashing! Can't go up to the 36th floor (viewing floor) unless a conference is on!! - very odd.

Lay out for meetings is awkward, to get to MZ level you have to go down then up.

Cannot believe that they moved the bar from one of the best views in SF on the 36th floor to the 2nd floor with a view of a bus stop or Starbucks. They should subscribe to CSN so patrons can watch local sports in their rooms or the bar. The Grand Hyatt used to have that "something special" quality on the 36th floor. Now they have downgraded the experience to a pedestrian feel like so many other local hotels.

Wonderful staff, very friendly - lovely meal last night at One Up. The bed was SO comfortable!

This is our first trip to San Francisco, actually our first trip ever. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary and I had requested a bay view or great view of the city. We were on the 4th floor looking in the windows of two tall buildings. I was dissapointed by that.

The location was very central to transport in and around the city. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was clean.

This was a business hotel and not really suitable for young families.

Overall a very pleasant stay with close proximity to shops and public transport. Gliezl at the front desk was amazing and moved us to a quiet floor after moving twice due to the thinness of the walls. She was professional, friendly and efficient and made sure we got a room without an interleding door as well as a breathtaking bay view!

The walls are very thin so noise travels quickly between rooms.

This is simply an excellent hotel. Starting from the tremendous rooms, over the very good breakfast, to the world-class service of the personal, who are always willing and ready to make your stay highly comfortable. I can clearly recommend this hotel.

I found the service to be excellent and it started way before we even arrived. The concierge helped us to find the right tour companies and plan out our trip so it was everything we wanted. My work takes me to many destinations and i have stayed at many different types of hotels but never have i received the type of great service as I did at this hotel. They took care of everything without question. I will definetly stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is modern and contemporary in it's design and decor. There is a Bart stop only a couple blocks away which was convenient getting to and from the airport. Front desk staff was great.

Though I wasn't around the hotel in the evening, there were annoying teenagers lingering & loitering inside & outside post prom, at 2am when I did get back from drinking. Other than that, I would stay at this hotel again.

Loved the chic, sophisticated feel to the hotel and the rooms were lovely with state of the art technology. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom roomy and well appointed.

Location is great. Right where you want to be in San Francisco for a short trip. I had use of the Club Room, which was terrific; wonderfully friendly and a nice place to drop in to get a snack or drink.

Someone had vomited down the hall from where my room was. There was also an empty wine bottle and glass left in the hallway. It stayed there for a couple of hours until I finally called housekeeping and asked them to clean it up. Shouldn't have been necessary.

The room services were taking very long time, and the service was delivered after serveral calls to push through.

I have always stayed at this hotel everytime I visit San Francisco, and the location is the best !! Nothing beats a hotel with a great location !

I arrived in the evening only to find out that I did not have a room inspite of the fact that I reserved my room over a month ago with a credit card guarantee. How does this happen ? We were therefore placed in another hotel that same evening and it was not a good thing most specially around 11:00 pm at night !!

I love the location. Great for shopping. The bed is extra comfortable especially when you have been shopping all day.

I loved the bed and the view from my room. The room was also very comfortable.

I didn't like the check-in area at all...too space-age. I also wasn't thrilled with the lounge. I've stayed at this hotel in the past and I enjoyed the feel of it before. There was also no robes or slippers in the room, which is very unusual.

I am not able to activate my account on their terrible website for the gold passport card even after staying 8 nights. I contacted on the reception twice but of no use.Another thing was that on last day, they tried to charge me for premium internet but then when I insisted that I have not taken that and have not used, they waived off that charge of 44 dollar.
