We had found this hotel after arranging another just to find out how misleading online photos can be. Had never been to San Francisco before so didn't know better. Came crawling to Grand Hyatt, they were so great to get us in on short notice, the room and location were fantastic, and the staff at Grand Hyatt are the best I've met. The rest of our weekend was flawless. So glad they were there for us.
Only one problem with the room and most will laugh at me for it. The bathroom door. It doesn't really close like a regular door. It slides shut and doesn't lock. Therefore there are no sound proofing qualities to the bathroom at all. I get bathroom shy. Had to have my wife wait for me downstairs so I could go haha.
Everything was great.
The moder decoration Confortable bedding The location is realy perfict
The morning buffet is not up to the standard of the hotel A bit expensive
Staff were very polite and helpful , location is excellent as we are in the heart of the city and walking distance to any were .the bar is very warm and pleasant. I would come back to this hotel.
Room was excellent. Very modern & clean
The pillows could have been firmer. I didn't sleep very well
We had booked a King, but there were none available when we arrived. They gave us a room with two doubles on the 27th floor with great views. The beds were comfortable, and fortunately we were away from the subway construction on Stockton. It is easy walking distance to China Town, North Beach, Market St and Bart
Check in process is not very efficient. Two people standing around tables with lab top computers. Long lines most of the time. For such a large hotel, the bar area is not very big. Didn't realize until the last day that they had free continental breakfast on the 32 floor. Nor did they tell us that you had to swipe your key at times on the elevator to get up to your floor.
Location, staff, bed, facilities
Hotal was clean and staff very accommodating.
My US Air flight on 10/23 was canceled due to mechanical failure, and when I contacted Hyatt, they were helpful and took that night off the stay. But ultimately they did not honor the Booking.com rate I had, so I paid a higher daily rate
Central location. Friendly, relaxed and professional staff. Quite a modern stylish decor. Great views from the room. Allergy free room without any question.
Bit of a wait for a breakfast table. Did not expect this at such a nice hotel. Inconvenient prior to a scheduled meeting.
Up one restaurant has the best burgers. We also enjoyed the crab sandwich. I know there are a lot of great places to eat in SanFrancisco but don't miss out on this experience. You won't regret the convenience and great service.
We were in SF for only two days, so being on the right spot was crucial! Plus hotel facilities are great, super comfy and clean room.
Fast check in Fast check out Great Location
Everything was bad Very dirty rooms Smell Not recommended at all
cant fault a thing
Location Friendly staff Cozy hotel Moden room
Concierge is very helpful.
We stayed here twice pre and post a cruise and on both occasions our room was available immediately - the only hotel of 4 we stayed in during this vacation where the room was available on arrival. The location is excellent, with all the top shopping nearby and good restaurants in walking distance. Concierge gave good advice regarding trips and local bars etc.
Small breakfast area with silly bench- type seating - I had to sit on a cushion to reach a good height for the table.
We loved the attentive service. They went above and beyond to take care of the details. My daughter loved the popcorn and lemonade stand in the lobby!
Centrally located Rooms are comfortable and clean Hotel staff is very accomodating
Quite a bit pricier than our last stay. Rooms on the northeast side hear the taxi whistle all evening :/
Location is excellent, staff very helpful and friendly.
Much noise from outside, the fact that the bar on the 37th floor has been relocated to the 2nd fllor so you miss the wonderful view. Small things like a handrail in the shower for older people.
Dog friendly. Great location ! Stay often and staff very nice!
Great location and fantastic staff made the stay professional and relaxing. Did not get to use all the facilities due to the time constraints. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.
This is an expensive property so it is not for the budget minded or constrained.
Lack of drawer space if any
Location spot on, staff very helpful and room was spotless
I liked the redesigned guestroom and lobby at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco. The place looks more spacious, clean and sophisticated. The staff is more friendly and helpful than those of other hotels in the Union Square area.
