Almost everything. Staff, cleanliness, quietness, location, etc.
The color of the bedroom wallpaper (it can be improved). The fact that there is only one lift serving 10 floors. That, I think, can't be changed but maybe the lift itself can be replaced by a faster one.
located near places I like to visit. Captain Cafe offered a look back at the NYC I remember as a young man.
dated, needs a remodeling.
The location was fantastic and the price was excellent value for money
The only thing I can fault was the lift but being into fitness and put on the 7th floor, didn't mind taking the stairs too much
Location was great, Refrigerator was great to have in the room. the darkness of the room was great for me.
the noisy Air Con and bed wasn't very comfy. Hallway very dull
Very good location, clean.
the building es old.
Close to subway and a short walk to Penn Station. The hotel is located midway between downtown attractions and Central Park. 5 minute walk to Empire State building. Staff were helpful and friendly. Captain's Cafe attached to the hotel is a little gem and makes up for the lack of space in the breakfast room. We had a quad room and this is difficult to find anywhere in the city at any price! The neighborhood is good and we always felt safe in the area day or night
Hotel is very old and only has one small slow elevator that is annoying. Breakfast room is very small and overcrowded. There was a lack of hanging space in the room and the TV is due for replacement as are the carpets.
Rooms were clean. Beds and towels changed frequently. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent location. Free breakfast.
Hotel needs updating but considering the price excellent value
Poor wifi connection in room Noisy A/C
Location ideal to get around New York Staff extremely friendly and always happy to help
Great location close to main attractions and subway. Very clean room/hotel and friendly staff. Good air con - nice to return to cold room after a day out in the heat!
Very temperamental shower, constantly either cold or too hot. Very loud air condition unit, couldnt use during night.
The location, right in the centre of Manhattan. Rooms were of a good size
Staff at reception, impolite and not at all professional. Not willing to help or make customers feel comfortable. Breakfast was awful
The location was wonderful for where I wanted to be, I could make tea in the room. There was a free simple breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The people were nice.
It was rather expensive for a small room with cracks in the wall.
Location was amazing. This is the most important thing when you spend most of the time out of the hotel! So I'd suggest this hotel if will spent most of your time exploring.
They didn't even give us the access key to the internet and they barely checked us in. Room was overpriced for the quality.
Customer servuce was good
Perfectly located for everything in Manhattan. Room at the back quiet which was a bonus.
The elevator. Basic.
The location was excellent.
Clean Decent Bathroom Cable TV
No Central Air Uncomfortable Bed Intermittent trash removal Small TV
The breakfast room is very small
It's located right in the middle of everything. Times Square is a short romantic walk away. Many restaurants and pubs within walking distance and the night life in this area is exceptional.
Elevators are small and take forever.
It was a last minute stay for me & my son & for that the price was understandable, room reminded me of an 1 bed room apt, comfy & quiet, window visual wasn't much but, being born & raised in Brooklyn it felt homey.
Parking was 5 blocks away & they didn't observe the validation from the hotel, so we had to pay the full price of $35 for 12 hr stay
horrible hotel, dirty carpets, tired bathrooms.
Our room was very noisy, we asked if we could be moved to a quieter area of the hotel, this was done without hesitation. The location of this hotel is fantastic. It's close to Times Square and Empire State Building. We used the Hop on Hop Off bus, the stop was close and a great way to get around to all the attractions.
These are only small dislikes, the breakfast was very basic and the lift was very slow.
Location was great, next to the metro station. Staff was very helpful.
Only one very small window with no view at all. It was very depressing, could not get fresh air and look outside. Not really helpful when you arrive with a jet lag after a 10hour flight... A/C was very noisy. Only one elevator, extremely slow, very busy at rush hours.
Location and staff very friendly and helpfull
To noisey ,room to small,a bit disappointed that it didn't look anything like the picture
During morning hours it make take a while for the lift (there is only one) to reach your floor. Be patient or take the stairs
