Customer servuce was good
Perfectly located for everything in Manhattan. Room at the back quiet which was a bonus.
The elevator. Basic.
The location was excellent.
The breakfast room is very small
It's located right in the middle of everything. Times Square is a short romantic walk away. Many restaurants and pubs within walking distance and the night life in this area is exceptional.
Elevators are small and take forever.
horrible hotel, dirty carpets, tired bathrooms.
Location was great, next to the metro station. Staff was very helpful.
Only one very small window with no view at all. It was very depressing, could not get fresh air and look outside. Not really helpful when you arrive with a jet lag after a 10hour flight... A/C was very noisy. Only one elevator, extremely slow, very busy at rush hours.
Location and staff very friendly and helpfull
To noisey ,room to small,a bit disappointed that it didn't look anything like the picture
During morning hours it make take a while for the lift (there is only one) to reach your floor. Be patient or take the stairs
On arrival very friendly staff, very clean , great location for subway and local attractions, comfortable beds wi fi wos working fine
Breakfast room was a bit on the small side, so had to wait for seats
Central location, easy to find, friendly staff, good price, would recommend.
Breakfast room could get a bit crowded. Lift was a bit of a wait.
Very good location and good price
cleanliness, location, friendly staff
Very nice and helpful staff. Hotel right on the green subway line and ten blocks from grand central station which was very convenient. Having a queen and two twin beds was awesome for our family of four.
Best of all for us was the fact that there was 3 separate beds in the family room, so our teenage son and daughter didn't have to share a bed.The location was good, just a couple of blocks to the Empire State Building and Central Station. Numerous other attractions within easy walking distance. Room was very spacious, plenty enough for 4. Free breakfast was a bonus. Bagels and muffins were great.
The hotel, corridors and rooms are a bit tired and need redecorating and updating. Room was dark with a view of a wall opposite. Air con was noisy but effective. Breakfast room was cramped and uncomfortable when busy and the croissants were awful.
Friendly and professional staff
Escalator was slow
Staff was friendly, great location, rooms seem clean.
Small elevator that was super slow, really narrow hallways, continental breakfast was very dirty people had to shake off the crumbs on the table.
Low price for the location. Decent room but on the small side. Didn't matter too much, I was always out walking around in the city
Slow elevators No view outside window
Nice welcome, early check in, comfortable bed. International guests, good breakfast with fresh fruit. Free luggage storage for the day after check out.
Room was small but adequate with no view.
Location, great staff, and cleanliness of the room.
a bit pricey for the times of year I usually visit NYC (summer and Christmas). Perhaps it's less expensive in the spring and winter?
It is OK
The hotel is modestly decorated and not very modern, however, despite this it is very clean. The staff were so welcoming and offered advice when asked. The breakfast was lovely and suitably filling! The beds were the most comfortable that I've slept in that belong in a hotel. The location is ideal walking distance to all the main focal points in Manhattan. As a family we highly recommend Hotel Grand Union.
The room was a bit small and the breakfast wasn't great. I would have paid more for a proper breakfast.
Not worth the price I paid. Barely any room for breakfast. Not clean. Curtain fell down. Lift barely works.
1) competent staff 2) location-walking distance to 2 subway stations 3) clean rooms 4) near lots of restaurants, etc
1) space/tables for breakfast were limited 2) the in-house car service to the airports-misleading quotes (driver asked for more money than what was advertised)
