The building itself was a bit old and run down (they were doing construction on the 2nd floor). The room got really hot in the morning.
The front desk lady was nice and upgraded us to a higher room with street view for no charge! The room itself is a bit small but the bathroom is renovated. The best thing about this hotel is that it's walking distance from EVERYTHING.
Cost No tea making facilities in room
Pretty expensive for what I would call a 2-star hotel. Beds are too short (my legs hurt in the morning).
Location is great, one block in from the Dragon Gate (Chinatown's entrance). Hotel rooms (except for scuffs on the walls) are very clean. No bedbugs, unlike many other cheap hotels in the area.
It was not possible to stay here.
Dust, staff that didn't tell us of coffee, tea ect
The music playing downstairs all day.
A mirror in the bedroom would had help greatly. While my sister was using the bathroom, I could have been putting my make-up on, but there was no mirror!
I love the location. The room was nice and very the bed was very comfortable. The only thing the room was missing was a full length mirror.
Rooms small and issue with payment
Showers were nice
The fact that the heating system was not working, it is winter and the temperature reached as low as 45 degrees. The hotel was undergoing some renovations therefore the place was dusty and messy. But the worst of all, the demolition work was starting at 8am. (Couldn't even wait until 9 or 10am) No respect what so ever for the guests.
I loved the location of the hotel.
We arrived and our room was filthy from the last occupants. We then got moved to another room which stunk heavily of paint fumes...Very poor for two asthmatics! The bed was also one of the worst beds I've ever slept in. The pictures are nothing like the actual rooms.
Location was good, not too far to walk to market street.
Construction on going
I like the hospitality and outright response of your staff
The staff are beautifully polite and helpful. A professional service all round. I am a frequent traveler and I really hope this business flourishes.
The renovations going on meant the communal areas were scruffy. Plus the internet was a bit sluggish. But overall I'd recommend a stay here, especially after renovation.
The location was brilliant, in the middle of all the places you would want to visit. The price is also good.
Room we were shifted too had creaky, uncomfortable beds, renovations were still really loud, staff werent super friendly but did their jobs fine, not many TV channels and the phone in our first room didnt work unless you held the cord in a specific place
Excellent location, wifi worked well, first few nights we had really nice beds, we were moved rooms when renovation noise became too much at no cost
The rooms are small. If you just stay there the night, it's fine, but if you want to spend time in your room for many hours, it might feel a bit too small. When I was there, some reconstruction was taking place, so there was some noise and dirt in the corridors. The elevator is small and kind of slow, and you can only use stairs when coming down (not going up), so that is a bit annoying.
This was the second time I stayed at this hotel during a business trip. The location is perfect - downtown San Francisco, next to the Dragon Gate where Chinatown begins. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Value for money is very good.
Excellent value in the middle of the city.
Room is too small.
Very good place, near Chinatown.
Musky smell throughout hotel and elevator.
Good service from the front desk, central location, good cleaning service and bed.
The only con was the shower was very small in area, and the shower head was not high enough, would be difficult for a tall person, as I struggled and I'm by no means tall.
Great location, within walking distance of most sites, only short drive from Golden Gate Bridge. Great staff. Free airline ticket printing. Rooms were small but that was expected. Great for the price.
Wasn't able to turn off very old and noisy radiator in my room.
Really good value for money, comfortable room and good modern bathroom.
Reception staff Cleanliness - building work on going Size of room
Extra small rooms, sometimes noisy street.
friendly staff, great location, free and fast Wi-Fi.
Small room, thin walls - so you can hear your neighbours. It's not a 5* hotel so don't expect too much.
Good value for a central SF location. The location in Chinatown is fantastic for visiting a large portion of downtown. Helpful staff.
Friendly staff. Clean room. Great location. Would recommend to others.
