Very small space
Good position. Staff helpful
Poor cleanliness. Bed uncomfortable
Great location (I needed to be close to Union Square) We stayed here at the beginning and at the end of a road trip. At the beginning I was skeptical but after a bunch of cheap motels when we came back this seemed an awesome room! (the second time we also got a better one with nice view and 2 window) I would not recommend it to everyone but to easy going people on a budget, absolutely!
Room very small. Dated/cheap furnitures.
We spent minimal time in our room while we were out exploring and making the most of our stay in San Fran. Location was good, easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Not bad value for money if you're just looking for 'somewhere to sleep' and not planning on spending much time in the hotel.
The room was very small, and was quite warm. No temperature control if you're too hot (although there was a portable heater in the room if you're cold!).
Location staff great room good basic clean
No fridge is a pain in the US hotels in summer
Staff were vey helpful and friendly. Recommendation for a restaurant gave us an excellent meal and they sorted transfer to airport and stored our luggage whilst we explored the city.
Bed and room a little on the small side
The place was great, just needs a bit of work done, but nothing major. The location was great.
Just the elevator was a a bit noisy. Also one of the floor boards in the room was creaky
Excellent Location Chinatown - convenient to Union Square and - convenient to Financial District / Montgomery Street
Noisy, UNcomfortable Bedding, Staff Does Not Seem to Care about Guest Satisfaction, Poor Guest Service despite Excellent Location. . My request due to medical condition advised in writing thru Booking.com and at Late Check-In for Quiet room not ... not ... over Grant Street was not Honored. Woman at Front Desk in afternoon acknowledged she saw the note thru Booking.com, and claims she pre-blocked room. Clerk (younger man) at check-in claims they were "busy and full" and had no knowledge of Medical information, Room Request, or Pre-blocking. Said I had to take the room. Full House. Sure enough, there were two men out on street (Grant Street) below my window talking for 3 to four hours (past 3am), so noisy the distracting noise radiated up the distance of six stories. . Business Center computer in lobby...charges per minute of use (with a minimum to sign-in). . Bed quality: Springs sticking up out of mattress. At checkout, younger Lady at Front desk seemed fully aware of the poor condition of the mattress. Didn't care. . do not stay at this property! I will not.
Location was great!
Stains on carpet. Smell.
Great location for downtown and to hop on a cable car to fishermans wharf.
Room was very noisy. Never stopped us from sleeping, but would imagine some people could struggle with it.
Location was very good for getting around and for access to transportation. Staffwere friendly and helpful
Room was very noisy at night There were no tea/coffee facilities in room There was no fridge in the room Wifi was available but it was very poor
Upon checking in, find the person that speaks great English as they will not tell you that they place your full stay cost as an authorization, them when checking out, charge the full amount on top of that. The authorization is not removed for two weeks. They will not bring a roll away bed as the rooms are "too small" and will not aid in accommodating their guests at all...especially when all other hotels are busy. The location is at the top of "Chinatown" on a steep hill with never any parking. Parking per night is $28 and two blocks away....good luck in finding it!
Location - centrally located and easy to walk to harbour area, chinatown, financial district, union square, etc. Arranged shuttle to the airport - though the price as fair $30 for two adults - shuttle showed up on time and got us to the airport in good time also.
Expensive - but price was one of the best we could find in San Francisco so maybe just San Fran is expensive in general. Very tired and needs a fresh coat of paint and general tidy up. Walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING, and I mean everything so if you are a light sleeper maybe avoid or stock up on sleeping pills!!
The bed can't be more uncomfortable!
Location in China town good and walking distance to Union Square.
Had to pay for ice which melted very quickly. I have never had to pay for ice in any hotel. Parking was 4 blocks away so very inconvenient. Got a $60 parking ticket just checking in to the hotel. No fan in the room, so had to open window slightly to get fresh air.No coffee maker in room..
Overall, hotel met bare minimum and would not stay there again.
Sheets were dirty and stained. Flip flops and a granola bar were found under the bed that did not belong to me. Windows did not open all the way, nights were hot. Cost was too much for poor location in Chi-Town and rooms were tiny. Had a friend help me with my BAG, and he and I couldn't be up and walking around at the same time. Would not recommend.
Location was ideal. Coffee in the morning very good.
Decor was very, very tired.
Location was good that's about all
Curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned for 20 years they were very dusty and dirty and didn't even close we had to use a coat hanger to keep them closed otherwise people could see in from other apartments would not stay there again only had coffee in the morning for 2 hours and not very friendly staff also fire alarm went off in night and we had to go and see if there was a fire it was a false alarm
I liked the cleanliness of the room. I was close to Union Square and cable cars which ran close by.
There were some street noise coming into the room There were no breakfast served at the hotel.
Beds were comfy, but nearly due for new mattresses, and definitely new pillows. Noise from the street was quite loud, our room was on the outer of the building so we heard everything on Grant Ave. Mould on the roof in the shower. The room did not look like the photo they advertised.
Location was great, hotel was basic but clean.
A little noisy (street traffic), but not too bad
We needed a place in San Francisco for one night so we didn't want to spend too much. The price was good in an overpriced city. Bed was comfy and place was clean.
You pay for a bed, don't expect anything else. Also be careful of the bathroom. My partner lost a toenail as he hit it off the ledge in the shower! Staff were ok, nothing special but not rude.
Location and prive!!
Amazing location. Clean rooms with a good Wi Fi connection.
Bed was a little uncomfortable. Noisy floorboards so bring your earplugs!
Great location, very clean, good value for money, good wi-fi
Very smelly hotel, extremely small room, very old uncomfortbale bed, thin walls make it very noisy
