Location was great!
Stains on carpet. Smell.
Location was very good for getting around and for access to transportation. Staffwere friendly and helpful
Room was very noisy at night There were no tea/coffee facilities in room There was no fridge in the room Wifi was available but it was very poor
Upon checking in, find the person that speaks great English as they will not tell you that they place your full stay cost as an authorization, them when checking out, charge the full amount on top of that. The authorization is not removed for two weeks. They will not bring a roll away bed as the rooms are "too small" and will not aid in accommodating their guests at all...especially when all other hotels are busy. The location is at the top of "Chinatown" on a steep hill with never any parking. Parking per night is $28 and two blocks away....good luck in finding it!
Location - centrally located and easy to walk to harbour area, chinatown, financial district, union square, etc. Arranged shuttle to the airport - though the price as fair $30 for two adults - shuttle showed up on time and got us to the airport in good time also.
Expensive - but price was one of the best we could find in San Francisco so maybe just San Fran is expensive in general. Very tired and needs a fresh coat of paint and general tidy up. Walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING, and I mean everything so if you are a light sleeper maybe avoid or stock up on sleeping pills!!
The bed can't be more uncomfortable!
Location in China town good and walking distance to Union Square.
Had to pay for ice which melted very quickly. I have never had to pay for ice in any hotel. Parking was 4 blocks away so very inconvenient. Got a $60 parking ticket just checking in to the hotel. No fan in the room, so had to open window slightly to get fresh air.No coffee maker in room..
Overall, hotel met bare minimum and would not stay there again.
Sheets were dirty and stained. Flip flops and a granola bar were found under the bed that did not belong to me. Windows did not open all the way, nights were hot. Cost was too much for poor location in Chi-Town and rooms were tiny. Had a friend help me with my BAG, and he and I couldn't be up and walking around at the same time. Would not recommend.
Location was ideal. Coffee in the morning very good.
Decor was very, very tired.
Location was good that's about all
Curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned for 20 years they were very dusty and dirty and didn't even close we had to use a coat hanger to keep them closed otherwise people could see in from other apartments would not stay there again only had coffee in the morning for 2 hours and not very friendly staff also fire alarm went off in night and we had to go and see if there was a fire it was a false alarm
I liked the cleanliness of the room. I was close to Union Square and cable cars which ran close by.
There were some street noise coming into the room There were no breakfast served at the hotel.
Beds were comfy, but nearly due for new mattresses, and definitely new pillows. Noise from the street was quite loud, our room was on the outer of the building so we heard everything on Grant Ave. Mould on the roof in the shower. The room did not look like the photo they advertised.
Location was great, hotel was basic but clean.
A little noisy (street traffic), but not too bad
We needed a place in San Francisco for one night so we didn't want to spend too much. The price was good in an overpriced city. Bed was comfy and place was clean.
You pay for a bed, don't expect anything else. Also be careful of the bathroom. My partner lost a toenail as he hit it off the ledge in the shower! Staff were ok, nothing special but not rude.
Location and prive!!
Amazing location. Clean rooms with a good Wi Fi connection.
Bed was a little uncomfortable. Noisy floorboards so bring your earplugs!
Great location, very clean, good value for money, good wi-fi
Very smelly hotel, extremely small room, very old uncomfortbale bed, thin walls make it very noisy
Very handy to most places .Being in Chinatown was good for us, good shopping
bit noisy,older style hotel,but ok
lack of professionalism on staff. small, very small rooms. no air conditioning. not able to leave windows open because lack of screens.
I like its location n proximity to all places of interests n good internet reception.
No aircon...a little noisy below the street bcos window is not sealed due to no aircon..but still have a good sleep on their comfy bed.
The location was good, close to Chinatown, bus service gave opportunity to get around.
Size of the room, quite small, double bed very small and not very comfortable, however you get what you pay for, we paid £80 plus parking 28dollar a night. If you have a car Sunday is free parking until 7am Monday morning, so make the most of it
Good location on the edge of China Town (by the gate).10-15 minute walk straight down Grant Street to Market where most buses, street cars and cable cars go from to all areas of the city. Staff.are helpful with finding your way around. Near Union Square
The hotel is not particularly cheap but on a par with other budget hotels.Tired interior with cracked tiles in the bathroom. No air conditioning, fridge, coffee making facilities or microwave although there was help-yourself coffee just off reception first thing in the morning. We stayed in 2 differently priced rooms and the only difference was that one was very slightly smarter.Twin rooms have small singles.
Location and Wifi
Pokey single room with ridiculously and unnecessarily large bathroom. I suppose San Francisco is an expensive city but my room cost over $120 and was tiny and spartan in the extreme. The bed (single) was rock hard and pillows were of poor quality. The aspect was a grubby light well. Most depressing. To crown it off, I needed to leave my bad for a few hours the next day and was charged extra for that, having to rent some kind of a locker padlock system. In the past I've stayed at the very charming but simple San Demo for about the same price. I chose the Grant Plaza over that because of location...big mistake!
Good ubication. Good staf.
The room was better in the picture.
great staff and location
It is not the most quiet building/location.
Perfect central location
Was a little noisy from the street
