Room was small, but adequate, bathroom was clean, lots of hot water. Though we had a view it was quiet.
Room was too small to live. No breakfast.
The facilities, or rather the lack of them in the room.
Clean sheets, towels changed regularly, best of all locality.
Lack of vacuuming in the room as I found dirty towels, socks, chips under the bed. Creaking floorboards - terrible.
The staff was very friendly and helpful good location for walking and getting to the Bart and bus The rooms aren't big but comfortable.
the bathroom was small the elevator could be better especially when it stops
Clean and tidy Has a lift, and was supplied with a kettle. Good location Staff friendly and helpful.
Bit noisy at times Needed a fridge
Perfect location for shopping in Chinatown
Wifi to slow to use FaceTime Phoning out long distance not easy.
Very central to all the great spots in the city, cheap!
It's a little tired and could do with an upgrade, but it makes up for this with the price
Location was close to union square and f cable car to fishermen's wharf
First night our room was tiny with mould on walls and curtains. Complained they upgraded us to larger room on 6th floor at extra $15 per night. 1st night fire alarm went off at 2.30am couldn't get onto reception. Obv false alarm. In new room heater came on at 4am extremely stuffy luckily we could open window. They gave us $25 refund. They couldn't fix heater problem so the last 3 nights heater came on at 4 am and b y thermostat.
Location. Good transport links.
Small room. Door let in light from hall round frame and curtains did not close properly.
The cleanliness of the room, good shower water pressure, very comfortable bed.
The elevator was slow!
Convenience. Staff helpful
Good location Clean room Quick service, easy check in and check out Relatively affordable
Room very small Limited light, window was onto an alleyway One small elevator, stairs were 'down only' even though we were only on the second floor Corridor smelt a bit funny General upkeep a bit shabby Dated rooms
Excellent location. Good price. Parking available down the road (for a fee).
A little shabby but worth if for the price and location in my opinion
The location is very good and the staff is friendly... comfortable room.
Nothing to complain about...
Cozy, homey rooms. Windows open. Excellent stay for price.
Hotel is old, could use updating.
Very small space
The position is walking distance to union square, china town, and other attractions, but you will need to walk up and down lots of hills.
A little small and older.
Good position. Staff helpful
Poor cleanliness. Bed uncomfortable
Great location (I needed to be close to Union Square) We stayed here at the beginning and at the end of a road trip. At the beginning I was skeptical but after a bunch of cheap motels when we came back this seemed an awesome room! (the second time we also got a better one with nice view and 2 window) I would not recommend it to everyone but to easy going people on a budget, absolutely!
Room very small. Dated/cheap furnitures.
We spent minimal time in our room while we were out exploring and making the most of our stay in San Fran. Location was good, easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Not bad value for money if you're just looking for 'somewhere to sleep' and not planning on spending much time in the hotel.
The room was very small, and was quite warm. No temperature control if you're too hot (although there was a portable heater in the room if you're cold!).
Location staff great room good basic clean
No fridge is a pain in the US hotels in summer
Staff were vey helpful and friendly. Recommendation for a restaurant gave us an excellent meal and they sorted transfer to airport and stored our luggage whilst we explored the city.
Bed and room a little on the small side
The place was great, just needs a bit of work done, but nothing major. The location was great.
Just the elevator was a a bit noisy. Also one of the floor boards in the room was creaky
Excellent Location Chinatown - convenient to Union Square and - convenient to Financial District / Montgomery Street
Noisy, UNcomfortable Bedding, Staff Does Not Seem to Care about Guest Satisfaction, Poor Guest Service despite Excellent Location. . My request due to medical condition advised in writing thru Booking.com and at Late Check-In for Quiet room not ... not ... over Grant Street was not Honored. Woman at Front Desk in afternoon acknowledged she saw the note thru Booking.com, and claims she pre-blocked room. Clerk (younger man) at check-in claims they were "busy and full" and had no knowledge of Medical information, Room Request, or Pre-blocking. Said I had to take the room. Full House. Sure enough, there were two men out on street (Grant Street) below my window talking for 3 to four hours (past 3am), so noisy the distracting noise radiated up the distance of six stories. . Business Center computer in lobby...charges per minute of use (with a minimum to sign-in). . Bed quality: Springs sticking up out of mattress. At checkout, younger Lady at Front desk seemed fully aware of the poor condition of the mattress. Didn't care. . do not stay at this property! I will not.
