Ideal location as you are minutes from many shops such as Macy's Free wifi
No air con Bed wasn't too comfortable Rooms were slightly dated
Good location helpful staff
great part of town, with incredible staff and a gorgeous room on the 6th floor.
Central location, and it would be hard to find a better located hotel at this price. Informative staff. The wifi worked fine. Free coffee in the morning was welcome start to the day(s) of sightseeing.
Very poor quality mattresses and unfortunately there were very noisey roadworks during the night, over our 3 days stay (not the hotel's fault)..
The rooms are very old, smelly and not quiet at all.
location is my favorite
Where is located
The matress is very uncomfortable and in general the hotel looks like dirty.
big room with a nice view
Great location. Cheapest place I could find in this region.
No parking, no breakfast, small room and VERY loudly, could hear the cars passing all night. Even more, there was a street work for 3 days of my stay.
Close to Chinatown, good position. Breakfast walk block down
No air-con, coffee making facilities or breakfast Didn't expect too much for price
The location was perfect, and the staff were very helpful, particularly when we wanted to check in early.
good location, at the edge of Chinatown, good value for the money
small room, dirty carpet
-location -staff -eating options nearby -cleanliness
parking charges smaller than average room size
I'm too old this is a great place for children or people that are broke
Size of room size of beds small old beds
Quite good location, most areas within reasonable walking distance. Reasonable cost compared to other hotels in area. Staff very helpful.
Could be a little cleaner, needs a little modernisation (but that would drive up the price!). Wi-Fi a bit slow.
We had 2 connecting rooms on the upper floor, which was nice, gave us a spacious feeling right in the center of chinatown
no fridge of microwave, we didn't miss the microwave but we did miss a fridge Ice vending machine is 50c for a small amount of ice
There was no fridge in the room which we would have liked - I realise many US hotels do not have fridges.
I liked the room (queen deluxe) and the position of the hotel. There was a convenient garage at 28$/day, which is very good in SF. The hop-on hop-off stop was just around the corner. Staff was friendly.
Not all the staff was fluent in English.
Location was good
Didn't like the beds, too hard
The location was perfect 5 minutes walk from Market Street. The staff at the reception were very helpful in offering useful advice about sightseeing.
The room and toilet were too small. The room did not have tea/coffee. The LCD TV picture was too dark that you could hardly see anything.
WiFi was really good. Staff was kind. Location was very good, just a few minutes from Union Square.
The room was small. The walls were thin.
Good location, friendly & helpful staff, security and budget friendly
A little nervous about the clunky sounding elevator but I was able to use the stairs
Very friendly and helpful staff. After staying one night, I decided to stay a second night, but my room wasn't available. So, they just moved me to an even better room, and I didn't have to wait for the check-in time. The location is terrific. In Chinatown, just a couple blocks from the French neighborhood, and Union Square. Close to Muni and BART, etc., and in walking distance to most of the city. Can't beat it for the price.
The only thing I didn't like was the bed in the single room. Not very comfortable. But when they moved me to a double room, the bed was fine. I'll just know not to book the single room from now on.
