Simple and affordable.
I love the location. It's only two blocks from Union Square. There was a parking garage which the hotel validated directly across the street. The building was well taken care of and very comfortable for the price
There was actually nothing that I didn't like about this hotel
The hotel is in the heart of Union Square, so closed to almost all main attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The central heating system works irregularly, cannot be turned on inside the room. Two out of five nights were very cold.
Clean & comfortable and great location. Coffee in the morning was very good.
The location, wifi speed, friendly staff.
Breakfast could be better. It was all sweet stuff. Too much sugar for early morning. A bagel and some cheese would be great.
Great wifi connection
No coffee maker in room
Location of the hotel
Extremely expensive parking. Daytime front desk staff is far from friendly.
Good location. Literally 5 mins from Union square, about a half hour walk to fishermans walk, which is straight up the hill and just keep walking until you come to it.
Woke up with about 6 lumps on me thought they were bites, we're so red and itchy and so did my partner !! Way too loud!! Every morning you could hear the people upstairs walking around, opening and closing draws! Breakfast was terrible, a few muffins and crosonts. There was only one coffee free, you had to pay for everything else, and no where to sit and eat, we went out to have breakfast every morning. We are not fussy with our hotels but would never stay here again!!
On cable car route, great diner and good bar nearby, Chinatown close, bike hire place near in union square, would use again
Breakfast is basic, pastries and coffee, but ok for the price of hotel
El mal olor de las habitaciones
We liked the price, which made the rest seem bearable. Wifi was consistent.
Noisy, (and smelly when the garbage trucks come by in the morning) needs updating, staff not overly friendly
2 small pillows no aircon Stayed on 3rd floor with a very scary resident opposite -wandered corridors at 3am and none stop dripping noise and tapping from 3am Horrible place
Everything is ok.Happy to live here.
I was lived here 5 days but the last 2 days housecleaner forgot to clean my room but overall is good.
Location is great, close to Union Square and Chinatown, you can move around San Francisco easily either by public transportation or by foot. We had a room in the third floor that was really cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a view of the business district (buildings but at least not a wall or an air conditioner!). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Muffins and pastries were excellent! I recommend the banana/nuts muffin.
Wifi is located at the reception so in the third floor we barely had signal (enough for emails and light browsing, unless you want to sit down by the door). The hall needed more cleaning, but since the room was clean it wasn't really a problem. The walls can be thin... One night there was a group of girls staying next door, we had to go and asked them to quiet down (we could hear them talking loudly and drying their hair). We were lucky they were nice enough to stop making noise. Otherwise the other nights we could sleep just fine. The elevator is quite old, we usually only used it to go up and not down. Breakfast is light (some pastries and coffee/tea) but it's understandable because of the price of the room.
The price and the fact that parking is directly across the street. Also, the location is only a few blocks away from union square.
The bathroom was very small. The shower curtain wouldn't stay on at all. My girlfriend spotted a roach crawling on the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable as well.
Good location. Bus stop and Powell station not far from hotel so we can walk. Around the hotel has good resturants and shopping area. The room is clean.
location and price
The receptionist was not too nice! He was kinda rude... I didnt like the old heaters! You can't turn it on unless the whole hotel gets cold
Quiet and roomy.
Wifi is too slow
Great location. Clean hotel. Value for the money.
If You're not american, you don't like the breakfast. There are, though. very good restaurants in the corner, or round the corner, that have it. Extra cost, of course.
Location, staff, free breakfast and price
Clean room good price and location
Cheap building you could hear everything in the entire building didnt get any sleep at all
