the location is excelent, verz clean, good value for the money
Parking across the street for $25/24 hours Quiet room in the back Nice lobby
Cleanest of the bathrooms. They do a really good job with the cleaning. They is what I love about the hotel the most. A lot of things could be updated. But, is a god clean hotel for the money. The front desk was also friendly.
They did not have the small essentials you need, like soap, toothpaste. The bathrooms are emulate. But, there is rust just need to be updated. I will definitely stay there again.
Impove variety ie . Add juice . Egg . Fruits Bread .. .
Nothing in particular
price location clean room continental breakfast included
Location, value, staff, comfort, spacious room (for one person)
This is not a major ding, but I thought it unusual that there was not an Ice Bucket available
Conveniently located with friendly, helpful staff.
Location was quite noisy.
its a very nice hotel
Superb location, affordable price.
Breakfast was really minimal.
Location of hotel, price, internet, bathroom.
Attitude of staff (did not greet us), timing of room service (rather early).
position was really convenient
hotel was somewhat tired and in need of updating
Location, easy parking at a discount, value.
Room a bit Spartan.
It's location is great! about 10 minutes or less from Union Square station on the BART train It's close to Chinatown, close to SF Cable car stops, close to Union square, and within walking distance from a CVS and rental car outlets! In the morning they serve a very simple breakfast consisting of hot drinks and fruit or bread! No-frills, but good enough (You didn't come to SF just to take a hotel breakfast, did you?)
Please take note : 1) There are no air-conditioners in the room! If it's cold , no problem. If it's summer...you might have a problem! 2) The building is old but from the looks of it, has recently been refurbished. However, there's an odor of disinfectant or some kind of chemical that permeated the entire building.. 3) The windows can be opened but right outside is the main street, so light sleepers beware of the noise! (the building isn't high, so you definitely can hear noises from passing traffic, especially heavy trucks!!)
Good location. The room was decent sized for the area. Fairly clean and cozy. No noise.
The view out of my window was of a brick wall.
Good basic accommodation. Clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet given the central location.
The breakfast pastries weren't their best but I was planning on eating out anyway.
the hotel down stairs was very good bed rooms very tied need up dating all so the bedding a little worn but staff very good
I much enjoyed my stay at Grants Hotel. I had a quiet, spacious, comfortable room, the hotel is excellently run, it is in a superb location, I would love to stay there again, and certainly recommend it to other travellers. Many thanks!
I had a place to lay my head at night.
The pictures advertised were not as true when I actually saw the hotel rooms.
No air conditioner Carpet is not that clean and looks old Pillows smell
Excellent location and value for money. Comfortable bed, room size larger than expected.
Wi-Fi is only available for one device. Cleanliness could be slightly better, but all in all still an excellent deal.
Location, good room with bath, quiet at night. Could get to Chinatown, shopping, on the trolley and piers without trouble, the surroundings where safe to walk, will return gladly.
The Grant Hotel has a lovely historic ambiance. We found the staff helpful at all times. Though the breakfast was muffins/ pastries, fresh apples were always available as well as coffee and tea. The Hotel is clean and nicely located. Our room was at the back on the 5th floor and quiet. We were able to keep our window open for fresh air and some mornings enjoyed the sounds of birds. We would definitely return - it was great value for the cost and very comfortable and safe with a great central location for Union Square, the BART, cable and street cars. We would recommend it.
I like the room it's really nice, value of money and location is perfect
Room smell, hair dryer, heater not working, a lot hair on the bed
It is quite close to Union Square. Smiling cleaning staff.
Wi-fi was very poor, but I think it is the general case in downtown SF hotels. The elevator is kinda scary.
