The room was dirty, short on towels, microwave was not clean, the continental breakfast was a joke. The room rate was more than twice as much as was published in the local travel guide.
The room was very outdated and wasn't clean. The promised breakfast (a big reason I booked this hotel) consisted of bad coffee and packaged muffins. Yuck!
The Hotel location was convenient. The room was a good size for 2 people. Very clean. The air conditioning worked and was fairly quiet. (no noise from neighboring rooms). If you just need a place to sleep with out creature comforts this place will work. For just a bed and shower with clean sheets and a space to leave your junk, this will do. We were gone all day and checked out early the next. Good for one night maybe two other wise you get what you pay for!
Our cable was out in the television. No coffee pot, and the lights for the bathroom are connected to the vents and sink light. Found this very annoying. Would have liked to have spent about 90 dollars instead of 110. Could stand a few updates for the cost.
Very bad breakfast, really nothing to eat. Toast were missing, no tea or juice. Moreover breakfast room did not open at 6 am as advertised. We had to wake up the receptionist to serve the breakfast and then he was very rude.
The entire package was grest. The room was large, comfortable, and luxurious. The price was very favorable.
We enjoyed our stay very much. There were no negatives.
Staff were helpful and courteous. Room was relatively clean. We've been in luxury properties which were not as clean.
Old property without the conveniences expected, i.e. hair dryer, sufficient outlets for charging devices. Furnishing were old and worn.
I liked that it was clean . Even though it is a older complex and smells like cigarette. I feel they do there best to keep it tidy. And it certainly has that weastern feel to it.The rooms are very spacious.
They said I couldn't cancel my reservation even though on line it said I could. Everything I had asked for ahead of time on line, like a crib, extra blankets n pillow they said they didn't have. The heated pool was broken so my kids didn't get to swim .I couldn't sleep well because my 6 month old was left without a crib n had to sleep in bed with me.When I asked if they had late check out they said yes but they would charge me the price of a whole day! Because it's a busy city. So my kids and I got there late and had to wake up very early so we could be out of there by 11 am. Even though by 9:45am one of the cleaning ladies was already waiting outside the door as if I wasn't out of there quick enough. We left the hotel by 10:15 am . Didn't want to risk them charging me a whole day for a few minutes past 11am. The man in the front was rude and had a horrible way of explaining why they didn't have what I asked for. If I hadn't asked about late check out they would have probably just charged me for half or full day without explaining it to me before hand .For a few dollars more we could have stayed at a newer, nicer place with a working pool, crib, and later check out.
The lady at reception
The room was shabby and dirty. No plugs in basin, no hairdryer, shower so old and dirty, did not use it. At 106 dollars not worth it.
attendant at front desk was barefoot and cleaning his feet...door was not sealed properly letting cold draft enter room...kitchen did not seem clean enough to eat anything from it....pillows were worn down and dirty
Quality of inside of the room. Small and worn out.
The location is very accessible and close to restaurants and stores. The front desk staff was very friendly.
The noise level outside was high. You can hear other people's conversations late at night.
We liked the location, which is on the south side of town on the way to the Caverns. The big screen TV in the room was nice.
The motel seemed a little neglected and run-down. It felt safe enough, but the furniture was scratched and old. The continental breakfast was extremely meager with 2 kinds of cereal, a few packaged muffins and orange drink, rather than orange juice. It was fine for one night, but we won't stay there again.
He manager was very nice and aytnetive
Very quiet, very clean, & friendly!
Everything was good except the bed. The beds need to be upgraded. They are like a cement bed!!!
Location. It was close to the beautiful Carlsbad Caverns. They are using this advantage to gouge the Customer. They are not alone, they are one at the cheaper hotels and apparently doing this because of their poor condition. If It was any nicer, they would charge more.
It was a dump and the individual that checked me in reminded me that there were better and much more expensives hotels in the area, but I would at least pay twice as much as I would at this hotel. He reminded me also because I had booked through hotels.com, if I chose to go, they would still get the money for at least the first night for both rooms leaving or not. He laughed, he gave me the key and went back into the dark room he appeared to have been sleeping in the same clothes for several days. His hair was a mess, his breath was offensive and he knew he had us trapped for at least one night. The pool and hotub were undescribable.
The location was okay
Dirty, towels have black spots, fan on the ceiling with thick dusty, someone else hair were on the towels and bed sheets
It needs to be updated and some mold removal. We were looking forward to the jacuzzi. which was only luke warm and not comfortable.
Staff was friendly.
After we checked in and went to our room there was around 15- 20 construction guys partying in the parking lot. Blasting music, drinking, and talking really loud! The bed was so hard it felt like I was sleeping on the floor! We had a king size bed and it only had 3 tiny old flat pillows that should be on a twin size bed! And what really made it the worst is we got woken up at 7 in the morning due to re modeling on the floor above us! I picked up my phone to call the front desk and the phone didn't even work! Check out was at 11 and the rate was $110.00 a night! Totally not worth it! Just a heads up!Do yourself a favor and go to the Econo Lodge right around the corner!
Housekeeping staff was the only good thing about this place, they would smile and say hello and when we asked for an extra towel because there were 3 in the room for 4 people they were prompt and friendly.
We spent the weekend there recently (2 adults, 2 kids) We picked it because of the indoor pool. Couldn't use it at all. The pool room was filthy, the water cold and slimy. Front desk staff was very rude. Breakfast was a joke.
TV worked well, towels were clean and looked newer
Bad smell, holes in curtain, stained sheet, floor not vacumed, comforter had burn holes, itching from bed. Grandbaby had a rash from bedding. I used my own blanket so we could sleep. Outside had uncomfortable tenants grilling and gawking. Asked to be moved for safety. Was such a uncomfortable stay.
The beds were rock hard the rooms need a serious update. Suites they are not. You get shampoo in a ketchup packet pretty much which thank goodness I brought my own. No iron or blow dryer in the room either.
Outside appearance was outstanding.
The rooms had a strange odor, pool dirty and cold, hot tub warm not hot and dirty. Pool area had no heat. furnishings outdated.
It was fairly close to where we were going
How dirty the room was
It was fairly clean and fairly quiet. The staff were friendly. It was not expensive. It was easy to find, and it was near the Carlsbad Caverns, which we wanted to see.
It's very worn with deferred maintenance (worn carpets, scarred doors, cracked mirror,). Also, the breakfast is minimal- coffee, juice, 2 kinds of too-sweet cereal, minimal fruit (apples and orances), and unhealthy pastries in plastic wrappings.
They do have a 3bed unit wich was good for us. The bed were firm but sheets were not changed.we stayed one night w the intention of living we checked out and everything left and later on the day decided we would stay another day so we returned being satisfied we the rooms .well we got the exact same rooms as the night before well as were getting ready for bed we pull the blanket back and there was a burn mark on one of the blankets that was there the 1st night. So that's how we know they didnt change the sheets. They need just a little TLC in the rooms carpet was stained and lamp shades were filthy. So great western inn just take a little more time in the up keep and y'all would be a pretty decent place for the price.
