It needs to be updated and some mold removal. We were looking forward to the jacuzzi. which was only luke warm and not comfortable.
Staff was friendly.
After we checked in and went to our room there was around 15- 20 construction guys partying in the parking lot. Blasting music, drinking, and talking really loud! The bed was so hard it felt like I was sleeping on the floor! We had a king size bed and it only had 3 tiny old flat pillows that should be on a twin size bed! And what really made it the worst is we got woken up at 7 in the morning due to re modeling on the floor above us! I picked up my phone to call the front desk and the phone didn't even work! Check out was at 11 and the rate was $110.00 a night! Totally not worth it! Just a heads up!Do yourself a favor and go to the Econo Lodge right around the corner!
Housekeeping staff was the only good thing about this place, they would smile and say hello and when we asked for an extra towel because there were 3 in the room for 4 people they were prompt and friendly.
We spent the weekend there recently (2 adults, 2 kids) We picked it because of the indoor pool. Couldn't use it at all. The pool room was filthy, the water cold and slimy. Front desk staff was very rude. Breakfast was a joke.
TV worked well, towels were clean and looked newer
Bad smell, holes in curtain, stained sheet, floor not vacumed, comforter had burn holes, itching from bed. Grandbaby had a rash from bedding. I used my own blanket so we could sleep. Outside had uncomfortable tenants grilling and gawking. Asked to be moved for safety. Was such a uncomfortable stay.
The beds were rock hard the rooms need a serious update. Suites they are not. You get shampoo in a ketchup packet pretty much which thank goodness I brought my own. No iron or blow dryer in the room either.
Outside appearance was outstanding.
The rooms had a strange odor, pool dirty and cold, hot tub warm not hot and dirty. Pool area had no heat. furnishings outdated.
It was fairly close to where we were going
How dirty the room was
It was fairly clean and fairly quiet. The staff were friendly. It was not expensive. It was easy to find, and it was near the Carlsbad Caverns, which we wanted to see.
It's very worn with deferred maintenance (worn carpets, scarred doors, cracked mirror,). Also, the breakfast is minimal- coffee, juice, 2 kinds of too-sweet cereal, minimal fruit (apples and orances), and unhealthy pastries in plastic wrappings.
They do have a 3bed unit wich was good for us. The bed were firm but sheets were not changed.we stayed one night w the intention of living we checked out and everything left and later on the day decided we would stay another day so we returned being satisfied we the rooms .well we got the exact same rooms as the night before well as were getting ready for bed we pull the blanket back and there was a burn mark on one of the blankets that was there the 1st night. So that's how we know they didnt change the sheets. They need just a little TLC in the rooms carpet was stained and lamp shades were filthy. So great western inn just take a little more time in the up keep and y'all would be a pretty decent place for the price.
Beds were firm and the heater worked well. Plenty of hot water in shower.
Cleanliness of room was poor. Walls were thin so you could everything that went in in parking lot.
Price was fair, grounds were clean the room was ok
very loose head boards in all the rooms above and to each side of mine. light switch broken at front door
Public hairs on tub, not mine hard beds and pillows carpet like plastic windows rattled cold air coming in around door
Location was convenient to the few restaurants in town.
Really dated. Mold in bathroom. Everything was well worn and bed was uncomfortable.
Proximity to Carlsbad Caverns. Continental breakfast
Pool was dated, and not heated much. Whirlpool was tepid.
I loved the old suite style. Everyhting was clean and comfortable.
I didnt like paying 110 for one night. Too pricey knowing all othet hotels were full and you had no choice.
The gnats in my room.
indoor pool has open vents on top of rusted out hull of a building, pool was ice cold and dirty, hot tub was warm at best
Location to the venue we were in town for. Beds were comfortable.
The breakfast served was extremely limited especially for feeding children. Staff not very friendly or personable.
Comfortable bed. Well lit parking lot.
Dirty carpet, hair in the tub from previous guest, I guess.
Hair in tub nasty room. Bought a bl anket so didnt have to sleep under covers!!
This place should be closed by Health Department.Filthy dirty.Tank on toilet was not properly covered. Holes and stains in carpet, broken lamps and burnt out light bulb in celiling. If this is the last room available in Carlsbad..... dont go -sleep in your car.
The bed was not comfortable
The hotel had relatively clean rooms, hot water in shower. Located right on road to Carlsbad Cavern, so some road noise.
Pool was way to cold to swim in and the hot tub was not hot, no pool towels. Breakfast was pre-packaged snacks and luke warm coffee.
Cheapest place in Carlsbad
Rundown shabby no food close. Very poor English for staff
