Excellent winter get-away. This was our 4th visit and we will be back.
We couldn't adjust the heat, so we had to open the windows:(
Love the location and their clean rooms.
I want to sleep in, I wish breakfast was served a little bit longer :)
The room was excellent. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The size of our room was huge two room suite and huge bathroom with kitchenette and a wirlpool soaking tub. The restaurant food was excellent-we had our Thanksgiving dinner at the Whip Pub.
Staff was very helpful and courteous.Cleanliness of rooms etc, outdoor jacuzzi, The pub and breakfast were good.
I was traveling w my 90 yr old mother. I had ordered a room w a jet bath, too high for her to take shower and kinda for me. They switched our room w no problem. The bed was a bit high for her also. I would book a handicap room next time. It is on the main truck/travel rte so a bit loud in am.
Staff was terrific, even our waitress for breakfast. Perfect room for a romantic getaway.
Hot tub had green residue lining the inside, after the jets ran for a little. It was pretty gross.
comfort, downtown, lovely suite, staff very helpful and friendly, great food
way too hot our suite was on the top floor and we had to turn the thermostat off and open the windows even though it was in the 30's outside. Jacuzzi/shower was difficult to step in and out of with no grab bar- rather dangerous
The room was large and the whirlpool bath fit both of us.
The bed was high - as a short person, I had trouble getting into bed!
Beautiful hotel! Wonderful accomadtions!
Location is in the center of (very tiny) Stowe. Old-world feel is nice and the look of the place is very nice. Cafe is very nice. Room had nice furnishings.
Carpet could have used a shampoo and pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Lighting in the room was a bit dim.
The breakfast is excellent: continental breakfast with local specialities, by far the best during our stay in the USA! Friendly and helpfull staff.
The beds are a bit too small (queen's size).
The staff were courteous and friendly - services were excellent. No surprises - expectation were met we thoroughly enjoyed our Stowe experience. Don and Cathy Huppe, Brooklin, Ontario - Canada
Location excellent Wide range of rooms and prices Good restaurant on site Friendly but efficient staff
Wonderful atmosphere - feels like a country Inn in Great Britain (lamp post beds...) Welcoming staff. Generous breakfast. Great on all counts.
My bill was over $600 and I was charged $0.40 extra to print my boarding pass. I spent a lot less at Best Western and got it free, Not a big deal but I'll remember.
Quaint setting, clean accommodations. Loved the area!
Had the misfortune to forget some clothing articles in the closet. Called to inquire about them after we returned home, but was told they couldn't check because the room was occupied. Despite the fact that they said they would get back to us and a second follow up call we made, we never heard from them. Absorbed the loss, but will seek a place that extends common courtesy to guests in the future.
We are on a fly drive from the uk, leaf peeping. I have just booked a series of reasonably priced places to stay....most were little motel style BandBs, but this was a whole new league, and so cheap for it. Exquisite, polished wood, olde world charm. Fab food, wonderful bed.
That I didn't have time to stay for a week.
Food good and accommodations excellent!
Clerk at desk could smile more!
location, breakfast, afternoon tea, free parking, service, amenities in room, large bathroom, quiet location
our room was in a building away from the main area, and we had to walk to get to this building every day. WiFi went out on our last night, as well as the TV, and they could not fix it.
Location was good for getting both up the mountain road and down to the other towns close by.
Management had an impersonal feel and the place was run like a fancy motel. The room was nothing great and overall we weren't so interested in spending any time at the hotel. Just a place to sleep.
The reception desk staff were super helpful & accommodating. The Inn is centrally located. We were able to walk to many points of interest. The room was neat and clean. The bedding was plush and the bed comfortable.
No counter space in the bathroom. We moved a side table from the bedroom into the bathroom and that helped considerably. Also, the towel allotment for the room seemed skimpy. However, our request for more towels was addressed quickly.
Very expensive, should at least include breakfast with these prices.
The location was just what we wanted. Convenient to shops and restaurants, but the Inn felt cozy and quiet. Great restaurant (The Whip) and really enjoyed relaxing by the firepit.
Our room was unnaturally warm. Outside temps at night were in the 40's, but our room was staying at 75+. Open window was not enough, actually had to run the A/C.
Location in north central Vermont near summer attractions and winter skiing. The front desk at check in (had booked 2nd night with Booking and had arrived a day early) was very accommodating, engaging. Room was georgeous and facilities such as pool with bar, fire were relaxing and well maintained.
Tad on expensive side for off peak time. Surface around pool slippery.
It is a largish hotel with all the amenities but managing to retain the charm of an inn. The on site restaurant is good. Parking very easy. Clean and quiet rooms.
Disappointed that breakfast is not included at this price but a great cafe next door.
