Not knowing ahead of time about the cash only deposit above the cost of the stay. I went all through the website and did not see that information. We were already traveling on a budget and when were would not get our cash deposit back until we were leaving, we had to give up some of what we had wanted to do in Seattle.

Very open, welcoming, and inclusive. Great location, and as another reviewer said, "very classy and clean by hostel standards." So happy about the private bathrooms. Cooking breakfast is a great way to meet new people!

Honestly, in my short stay, I can't say that I had any negative experiences.

The free breakfasts and dinners that were available. The location was ideal for getting to the World Rhythm Festival at the Space Needle site.

The only drawback was the lack of an elevator but quite often other guests would suddenly pick up my bag from behind and help with carrying it up the stairwell.

The hostel is at few foots from Seattle beach as well as from Seattle center; breakfast and some dinner at week; excellent free internet; fine staff.

Noisy environment; internet only in the pub hall; unmoral neighbours (not depends on the hostel staff).

The restroom is very clean

In the midnight it had cars' and peoples' noise from outside !!

Very handy locations also so close the nice pike market and unique cafes,ect!

After midnight need to pay attention the people around you in the outside of street.

Everything is perfect. Location is very nice. Free breakfast everyday, free dinner on Tues and Thurs. Especially so cheap.

I liked the location and the cleanliness of the establishment when I am in Seattle I will stay there again.

Location, location, location. Friendly, well informed, helpful staff. Great bathrooms.

Bed was not very comfortable. Single chair in room was really skuzzy, icky.

I loved that it was very classy and clean by hostel standards and the atmosphere was pleasant and fun. The staff was gracious and my group had an awesome time. I also liked the private bathrooms with showers. Finally, I loved the open-ended breakfast.

During busy hours, I had to wait up to 20 minutes to use one of the four bathrooms on my floor. But it wasn't too bad.

I liked nearly everything about the Green Tortoise - Price, location atmosphere, staff, perks (breakfast).

Shower could have been a bit cleaner.

Green tortoise Hostel is wonderful in the very center of seattle, so we could visit a lot within walking distance. The hostel team was very friendly and kind, visitors had been uncomplicated. It was very good to have sometimes lunch, to have always breakfast and a kitchen to use... We had a great time.

We were doing an Alaska cruise on NCL and we actually walked to the boarding area of the ship. really wish we had time to walk the city, the hostel was just in the perfect location for locale sightseeing

It was all good.

Very clean bath rooms, but no private baths. Room was basic, bed firm but comfortable We didn't find it noisy, but then we live in nyc. Mature couple found location to be excellent. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Woulld stay again.

Clean facilities, good location.

Noise - hostel does not have a curfew. Great hostel if you want to party all night. Bad if you want to get some sleep.
