The location is perfect. I also liked the cleanliness of the showers and that they were cleaned daily. The beds are pretty small for taller people but you can't beat the price and location.
Location, location and location.
car noise during night, need to carry luggage up
It is located right in front of Pike Market. Easy access to transportation around the city. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. They offer free earplugs! All staff members were friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend to others!
My favorite things about this hostel are the curtains for every bed, for privacy ...and the great WiFi! Everything is clean, and the staff is very helpful!
Being so close to Pike Place Market means some nights are noisy, and it's hard to sleep.
Straightforward, modest accommodations at a modest price. Bathrooms w/ shower readily available for private use. Bunk bed style dorm rooms- each bed w/ privacy curtains, a light and a fan. Always an eclectic group of people from all over to make new friends with. Free breakfast daily and free dinner thrice weekly. What's not to like?
Bring earplugs if you aren't a heavy sleeper- lots of coming and going until around 2am when things quieted down- to be expected when the majority of visitors are young and single.
People at front desk were just a tad standoff-ish, awkward, and not the absolute best customer service I've had, but they were fine.
Great staff and I loved the free 'make yourself' breakfast
Noise from street and late arriving 'room mate' kept waking me up. Use the earplugs they offer at the front desk.
offering of free meals was a plus. having pancakes for breakfast as an option was definitely a warm welcome.
you have to rent a towel for bathing. cost is a dollar
Staff was extremely helpful. Also everyone I met was friendly. You could not beat the location.
Nothing. I highly recommend it.
Helpful staff. Comfortable berth. Good size room. Good breakfast. Excellent location.
Premises small and it appeared a bit crowded as a result
Value, amenities, breakfast, wifi in common area, availability of local info....
Staff were kind and helpful. Steve went out of his way finding me a bed, since I missed the check-in curfew. Then walked outside to confirm his directions to a preferred parking garage. Breakfast pancakes, eggs, fruit coffee and toast! On the house. Lots of energy. Make your reservation early.
No elevator to top bunk. Well when you're tired sleep comes easy. The entrance is between a group of panhandlers and some other savory characters, hold on to your wallets and bags.
Privacy curtain and personal fan/light was a nice little touch. Staff is probably the best I've even seen in this line of business. I don't think I've ever been accomidated soo well. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about the guests which was great. Will definitely stay there when I come back to Seattle and will tell friends as well.
Some dude kept opening the door a myriad amount of times but that is no fault of the staff just an individual and its somewhat to be expected.
The environment or location of the Hostel.
the toilet sits
Great location as it is located just opposite famous Pike Place Market. Very near to the bus transit area on 3rd and 4th avenue. The Sound Transit to the airport were also within walking distance. Most of the attractions in Seattle are within walking distance from the hostel. Huge locker under the bed provided as well.
The wifi only available at common area. It should make available in the rooms as well. Somehow during my stay this time, I having problem to connect to their wifi.
Comfortable beds with curtains to add to privacy. Vibrant atmosphere adequate breakfast, facilities and good wifi. Very helpful staff
The hostel is located in a good position to see farmers market & close to transport links, however the immediate area outside the hostel is over run with drug dealers, addicts and homeless.
this place is amazing! I'm staying here and doing trade work and I really am enjoying myself. the breakfast is really good and it's close to everything downtown (being that it's in pike's place) they have really cool activities and do dinner for free 3x a week. you get to meet lots of cool people too!
It was amazing to be at the heart of seattle downtown! Right in front of the pike market and few minutes from everything else. Will definitely stay there again if im back to seattle!
Location is right across Pike's Place, so a lot of munchies! Not too far from Downtown area, and it's super cheap, so you get to splurge all that money on food. :P Also bathrooms were wonderfully clean, I was almost amazed. Staff was fantastic, there is also a waitlist for those who want to stay an extra night and they are booked. Loooooved the kitchen and you get to prepare your own pancakes for breakfast. :)
Loud in my room, I think it was the AC or the fan or something. I woke up with my ears ringing? Needless to say, I did sleep fine, I just woke up a lot more cranky and sore, and I'm not sure why.
Bunk beds with there own curtains for privacy and a light and fan.
good location near Pike Place Market
Tours were great, staff exceptionally friendly and very helpful
That wifi only available in lounge area
The location to Pike Place Market is phenomenal! It was very convenient to the waterfront and the 'happening' part of town. I also liked the fact that the bathrooms were individual, the commode, sink and shower were all in one enclosed room.
The bathrooms were continuously filthy and looked as though they were not cleaned properly, ever! If you did not get to breakfast by 9AM, they were out of a lot of items and they were not replenished. (and breakfast ended at 9:30) Same thing with dinner, when they were out, they were out.... Additionally, I asked for a 4 person female room and ended up with 2 or 3 guys every night of my 3 night stay. Not that I minded, but why did they KEEP putting guys in my room? There were PLENTY of females staying at the place.
Low price and great location make this a prime destination for those used to hostel travel.
Could be cheaper.
