Immortalized in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were its own city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!
The borough is connected to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It's also connected to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the northeast, Brooklyn Bridge Park has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while southeast is the huge Prospect Park.
On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighboring Queens.
At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Renovations are underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden roller coaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.
Cheap Brooklyn hotels are great alternatives to accommodations in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.
Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth.
Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth. Old, new, rich, not-so-rich. Every cuisine and kind of neighborhood. Prospect Park is in great shape and safe. The new(ish) waterfront parks by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights are in super condition and have great view of lower Manhattan. Walking the bridge is a really highlight. So much more reasonable than staying in Manhattan too, and just a really short subway ride to all the best lower Manhattan attractions and neighborhoods. People have a lot of crazy ideas that big cities are bad and broken in the USA. It’s just not true in Brooklyn. It’s a great place that’s better than it was 20-30 years ago.

Amazing view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline,...
Amazing view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline, especially when timing with the sunset. Plenty of places to eat. We had a 10 minute walk from our hotel in Dyker Heights to the nearest subway and there were loads of shops, eating places and cafes - including the likes of Victoria's Secrets and Saphora, so I expect the area to be growing and becoming more popular.

The deposit is not clear, and it is not mentioned on booking.com.
- Staff are kind but for me one staff was racist and I was shouted at and humiliated just for asking to send an invoice.
- I recommend the customer service is not that good as it destroyed the image creating a very unsafe environment for me as a customer.
- The management needs more personnel for the night shift because, during my stay with the receptionist, I felt unsafe and no one else was present to reassure the staff; instead, my brother had to gently remove me and lead me to the lift.
-The rooms are really small and the shower and toilets are in a very small space, for family members sharing a room is very difficult.
I would only recommend it if you have a short stay there and I do not recommend it for European travellers as the deposit thing looks like a scam. The currency converter was a bit weird too. I ended up paying 100€ extra and still waiting for my deposit.

NYC what can i say? so much!
NYC what can i say? so much! Not only does BK have a vibe of it's own, it has different vibes. As a former resident, I look forward to doing all of the things that I never did when I lived there. Botanical gardens is next on the list.

Brooklyn is a vibrant, hip, and inclusive section of NYC.
Brooklyn is a vibrant, hip, and inclusive section of NYC. Parts of it remind me of the 60-70’s culture with a lot more money and style. People are busy but enjoy city life together at night. Brooklyn has a definite cool vibe. I felt it was an intelligent community and safe.

Great place that's evolved into a diverse chill environment.
Great place that's evolved into a diverse chill environment. Sure it's still the hustle bustle of Manhattan but it's more family oriented and less precious. You don't have to leave BK to enjoy food, culture and shopping. The museums and history is right there, along with sports and activities.
Comfortable room, bed, clean. It's a generic modem hotel with parking. Nice views over Manhattan and Brooklyn. The location isn't for tourists though, we were staying near friends in red hook. It's either leaving on a cruise or you know NYC well enough to get the river ferry. Red Hook is not well served with public transport. They have parking though. For us, it was great value in the right location for our purposes
Quite everything. The room was beautiful, clean and big enough, with an incredible view directly to Manhattan skyline, so we could take showers watching the Empire State Building, just incredible! The staff was really nice, they also paid attention to my gluten intolerance. The hotel is in a great neighbourhood in Brooklyn (North Williamsburg) and it was really nice exploring the area on foot, too.
The hotel had a good vibe - the atmosphere was alive with music in the evenings! Quaint rooms with some artistic influences in the decor - guitars on the wall, turntables in the room, frig looking like a jukebox etc. Staff was extremely friendly - from the wonderful doorman to the front desk personnel. Extremely well located within Brooklyn - at least for waht we needed.
I loved everything about this hotel. Never stayed in Brooklyn before but I ended up loving it. Williamsburg is a lovely neighborhood with so many great shops and restaurants. I really loved my hotel room. It was quite large by New York standards with a large balcony and a spectacular view. The rooftop bar was also amazing.
Great location, friendly staff, excellent restaurants and even though the rooms are small, they are well thought out, functional, stylish and quiet. The bed is super comfortable too! Having stayed in a number of hotels in Williamsburg, this is definitely the best value for money.
The beds were comfirtable and smelled clean. The staff were courteous and efficient. Breakfast was great and the sitting area was spacious.
The hotel is within walking distance from the Brooklyn Bridge and my family and I felt safe walking alone after dark. The city is alive!
The most amazing part of this hotel is not the incredible price, or the excellent location -- it's how quiet it is! I could not believe I was staying in the heart of Brooklyn. Great to have a quiet night after a busy day of exploring NYC. Could not have been a better choice.
Pretty good value for a hotel in this location (close to Manhattan and busier parts of Brooklyn). There was light housekeeping each night (new towels, emptying trash) although I believe they ask you to request a full cleaning (i.e. change of bedding).
Clean hotel. Really close to downtown Brooklyn and Barclay Center. Great rooms with AWESOME decor! Terrific lobby that's great for socializing or working. Seems to be a lot of business travelers here. I would definitely stay here again.
Mid-tier accommodation, room was clean, comfortable with a great shower, front desk was very helpful. hotel is very close to the Brooklyn cruise terminal, with access to the ferry, bus and subway station.
Clean, well-appointed room in a great location in Williamsburg. Bigger than lots of NYC hotel rooms. I liked the view over the bridge. Good little gym room in the basement which was a big plus.
I really enjoyed the unique feel of the hotel. The ambiance was great and the staff was really nice. Location was great, made it easy to get around NYC relatively cheap on uber
The hotel is really close to a lot of subway lines, so perfect for exploring both Manhattan and Brooklyn. The room had everything we needed, the bed was huge and comfortable.
Great location in Williamsburg near lots of great restaurants and bars. An easy walk to the J and to get into Manhattan as well as helpful staff. Hotel was very clean.
Perfect location for a party next door at 74 Wythe. The hotel is Brooklyn chic with a complete vintage yet modern vibe. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
