The Company, NY City Stay was not truthfull and they did not honor the reservation times (3 days) and we could only stay for 2 days The apartment was dirty The lights did not work The freezer was frozen and leaked.
we were in NY for NYU graduation - just half a block from Washington Square - wonderful location and easy to get in - never met the staff, all via phone and email - it worked.
basement apt was dark, very poor lighting, we complained and asked for new bulbs, none came, bathroom was not clean, wifi and other wires were tacked up around door and kept falling down when entering and exciting
The location was excellent. Away from the tourist areas (real NYC) of but within walking distance of 5th Avenue, Washington square park and subway stations.
The apartment wasn't very clean and the decor was really tired. It did serve the purpose and the location more than made up for the state of the apartment. The apartment can sleep 4 albeit intimately, I have no idea how 6 could comfortably share. If you're looking for a luxury apartment, this isn't it. But if you just need a base and a place to sleep... You could do a lot worse.
- no toilet seat. - plugged toilet - no shower curtain. - trash surrounding. - difficult to get hold of. - could not even stay. - no help. - promised other unit and given the smaller one.
Our apartment was no. 2 & not the one in the above picture. We loved the location & place was clean & bedding lovely.
Shower leaked massively-needed towels to soak up leaking water, needs a screen, toilet seat broken, sleeps 4 not 6 - sofa needs replacing as do broken stools. Power points dangerous need replacing. Lacks lighting being a basement apartment. We loved location & had an awesome holiday but we were a bit disappointed with apartment.
The location adjacent to the 4th West Street subway station was perfect.
There was limited safe seating that was limited to a single stool after one stool which was taken away without replacement. The furniture was so unsafe that a serious injury could have happened. The room lighting had not been checked before our arrival with the result that one of the rooms had no light, the kitchen area had no lighting and the hall was lacking a full set of lamp bulbs. Despite contact being made with the owner/manager, very little improvement was made. The rear bed room lacked adequate curtains leaving the room subject to bright lights from the adjacent building. The curtain in the bathroom was transparent to the extent that it was possible to see what was being watched on the next building television. Conversely it would be possible for the occupants of the other building to see into the toilet/shower area. The rental charge did not match our expectations and because of the poor quality of the apartment a partial refund would be expected.
As a Maid of Honor I was in charge of putting together a perfect Bachelorette party for my cousin and our group of friends. Unfortunately, our stay was a complete hassle. When we first arrived there is NO office and there is NO way for anyone to get into the apartment or even know which apartment was ours for that matter!! The staff did not send any confirmation details stating what apartment we rented out and how to get into the apartment! After several phone calls I was informed that there is a lock box where are key was and we were finally able to get into the apartment. The following day as we prepared to leave we were SHOCKED to find a MASSIVE ROACH roaming the kitchen!!!!!!! We were in complete disgust after seeing the biggest roach I have ever seen, in the hotel I paid $460 for!!!! The housekeeper even came over an hour early to checkout and stood outside our apartment when we weren't even prepared to leave!! A complete waste of money when we could have stayed at a REAL HOTEL, WITH A REAL LIFE PROFESSIONAL STAFF to meet with and that would accomodate our needs. We were utterly disappointed with our stay here and paid way too much to deal with the hassle and PESTS. Our wonderful, relaxing bachelorette was ruined by our stay here.
We didn't actually stay at this property because there were some electrical issues but were given an excellent apartment a block from 5th ave. and a few blocks from Central Park! I received a call late in the day of our scheduled arrival promising a bigger and better accommodations and we were not disappointed!
Comfortable beds, and lots of towels and hot water. Well equipped kitchen apart from the lack of kettle. Loved the proximity to shops, Washington Square Park, subway and cabs. Greenwhich Village is lovely too.
Noisy neighbourhood, a very active young couple upstairs. Dark rooms: needs better lighting in the end bedroom and kitchen.
That was awesome ! The situation is great, nice neighborhood ans so on. We had a really good time there!
Location... But this is about it :-(
Apartments are plain ugly! This is probably the worst you can get for the money!.. The staff is unavailable most of the time. Had a problem of the door slamming shut behind me on Sunday - could not get hold of the apartment managers until Monday noon!!!! Had to spend a night in a different hotel. It's in a basement, which is cunningly concealed in all descriptions. Piles of garbage near the entrance. Garbage is all that you see out of the windows. No curtains on (transparent!!!) windows even in the bathroom!!! Had to hang a spare towel to have some privacy! No promised wifi. Bathroom door latch broken. Old furniture falling apart. Avoid at all cost!!!
Location - Fantastic Very quiet below street level apartment. Easy to get to the subway on 4th Street East. Close to shops, dining out. Fast Internet - WiFi good. Very Happy
Needs a little spruce up. Only cosmetic, nothing serious.
the location; the size of the apartment; the sleeper sofa
cable didn't work; no wifi code; bathroom outlet didn't work; oven didn't work; shower handle fell of repeatedly; bathroom door handle precarious to use
The apt. Didn't say it was a basement apt. When we got back to apt. Late at night the gate was closed and did not have the key had to hop over the fence.
The lack of response to queries, the check in time change, the lack of curtains for privacy, the dirty windows and outdoor area, the mouse that got into our luggage.....
poor & very high price
Well located, good bed/linings
Bathroom door latch broken. Bedroom door latch broken. Both couldn't be opened from the outside. The given key for the outside stairwell door not corresponds to the lock, if this door is accidentally closed you get trapped in or out. Those are not minor problems.
NOTHING IT WAS A SCAM!
Mr.Suki charged our credit card and we never got into the apartment, do not trust this propperty , it is a scam. It ruined our holidays. book is not being helpful.
Location to West Village. When after a half a day of trying to track down the owner/manager, Eran Suki, to fix the cable/wifi, who finally showed and did patch together the wifi. Although he turned out to be a nice guy, he offered no apologies for the condition of the apartment. Window in the bathroom. Nothing else.
Location to West Village. Nothing else. The location is the "come on" bordering on scam is the basis of why they get away with requiring a non-refundable, premium rate pre-paid, lock box key delivery, money-in-the-microwave; no-human-contact; voice-mail-exchange type reception/management style; "Mickey-Mouse"-rigged cable/wifi; large-open-hole-shower drain; chaotic basement apartment before any human eyes are ever laid on it.
