Very comfortable, tall bed. Convenient kitchenette stocked with everything needed. Tons of living space. Continental breakfast was sufficient.
Weak wi-fi. Windows need soundproofing.
spread out floor plan, with enough space for gathering prior to tackling Bourbon St.
Nearby Parking was unavailable.
When we booked the two bedroom suite for a week, we had no idea they did not allow children (lots of stairs and a pool without a gate Vic explained upon arrival). We were warmly welcomed despite this and very pleased with our stay. The staff here is the very best. I've stayed at several hotels in the French Quarter over the years. Everyone is kind and helpful. They had excellent dinner suggestions (which was helpful since we had to forgo all fine dining). Mark was my favorite staff member, although everyone is amazing. The suite itself was beautiful, spacious, clean, with a full kitchen. We had more than enough space and were very comfortable. The beds were great and the noise level was surprisingly low, even on busier nights. I look forward to another great stay here in the future sans kiddos.
I booked this room (apartment really) as I had read very good reviews. I wasn't in the least disappointed. Very well-appointed, inside and out. Property is larger than it seems with a very well-maintained pool, sauna and garden. It is quiet. The people (owners and staff) opulent have been more helpful. I would gladly go again. So much nicer than these huge vacuous hotels.
I would suggest to anyone going, to make sure you bring a phone, as there are no telephones in the room. My sister who joined me fortunately brought hers and had no problems using it, but since I have a pay-as-you-go phone from the UK I couldn't use it as the cost would have been prohibitive.
Loved the personalized front door service and key check. Two story room with spiral staircase Exposed brick walls
Thanksgiving Football on an HD TV with Analog signal. (Hint: Bring Ear plugs...party goers can be up all night!) -- Nothing against the hotel, just a reminder for guests!
Perfect location. Friendly staff. Cozy and gorgeous room. What's not to love?
Top to bottom this is a great hotel.
Great Location, Lots of room, Great customer service
That it was In the middle of all the action.
Location, staff, ease of checking in and out, safe.
Coffee maker disaster. Leaked everywhere. Ugh
The staff were excellent. The room was magnificent.
The noise from the street, but then its in the location. You cannot have everything.
Location was great for our purposes. The staff provided great tips on what to see, where to eat, etc.
Some disturbance from other guests who were using the pool on one of out nights. You might consider drapes for the main living area.
I liked being able to walk to excellent restaurants and Royal street. Our king suite was great with full kitchen.
Not the hotels problem, but did not like walking in the area.
Very friendly staff and happy to help. Although the location is right in the middle of the French quarter, Dauphine is actually pretty quite and especially since the rooms are in the back, the noise levels are really low.
The pool could use a little TLC. Didn't look as inviting. We didn't miss it since the weather was much cooler when we were there.
Loved everything about it great place to stay and great staff.
Location, kitchen facilities, staff
Our room was down a long dingy corridor and was dark because it fronted directly on the street so blinds had to be closed all the time and the rest of the unit had no windows plus we had to go outside (sometimes in the rain) to go from room to lobby (Room 106)
The staff was always available, and spent time to recommend restaurants and things to do. Great quiet location in the French Quarter. Can walk everywhere. Will absolutely stay here again when we go back to New Orleans. Much more romantic than the box cutter hotel rooms. Has charecter.
My expectation prior to arrival were high, but the staff, facility, and location far exceeded any opinions I had. What an incredible place to spend a week in the French Quarter! Close to fantastic restuaraunts, amazing entertainment, and Bourbon Street. Was in New Orleans for my god- daughter's wedding, (which again was within walking of Grenoble House). Had a fantastic time in the crazy city, and the Grenoble House was a huge part of it. Old fashioned European style hotel, with all the modern amenities. Stay here. You will not regret it! Zero, Nunca, Nada, Nothing!
We will be back every year!! Staff is amazing! It's a home away from home with a short walk to bourbon street! Nothing bad to say.
Beautiful, historic building. Friendly staff. Good value. Convenient location.
Everything was excellent. Even though wife had told front desk all we needed was the trash in kitchen taken out, the housekeeper (she would be an excellent maid) went through and remade the bed, restocked water in the fridge and other things.Located only a block from Bourbon Street, It was quiet and made my stay totally enjoyable. The Staff was far better than any Hotel I have stayed in, (Marriott,Hampton, etc.) I plan on returning there next time I am in NOLA for sure
Words cannot describe how beautiful this hotel is. The architecture of this hotel is simply very pretty. The high ceiling of the rooms, poster beds, and the vintage fire place makes you feel like you are vacationing in a country hotel in France. The hotel is conveniently located in French quarter, just walking distance from all the hustle bustle of Bourbon street. Beside the architecture of the hotel and the location, the employees of this place makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. One of the front desk personnel Chantelle updated our room to a suite when she found out that my boyfriend is going to propose to me in New Orleans. Another front desk personnel Mark helped my boyfriend to set up the room with flowers and lots of candles on the evening of the proposal. They were excited and eager to help my boyfriend to make my evening very special. Vic is another staff member at this hotel who is wonderful. He helped us to set up swap tours and the city tours. All these people worked very hard to set up flower arrangement with the local florist. Marc personally went to our room to check up on the flowers as well as to light all the candles before I arrived to our room. I have never met such a wonderful team of people in years of my traveling experience. The beauty of this city is truly in its people. The night shift attendees were also delight to talk to. They share many stories of New Orleans with us. I will never forget this vacation. I am planning to return to New Orleans in near future and definitely going to stay in this establishment again. I sincerely thanks Marc, Chantelle and Vic for giving us the most memorable vacation of our life.
Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. They geniunely want you to enjoy your stay in their "Fair City." When I return to NOLA, I would definitely return to the Grenoble House. Without a doubt!
Be prepared for the city noise. Our suite faced Dauphine Street, and the party outside can be heard inside until early hours of the morning. If you have little ones, request a suite in the rear of the house.
