Score from 29 reviews Excellent
The inn was quaint, decorated with antiques. It was just what we were looking for. Paul, the owner, was very personable and helpful and made a great breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay.
A lovely little inn with loads of character. A large sitting room with a fireplace, a fully stocked bar and lounge, as well as a pool table, ping pong table, sauna/hot tub, and outdoor pool. Appropriately decorated with rural antiques - so quaint! Delicious complimentary breakfast. Magnificent views on all 4 sides of the adjacent National Forest.
My only complaint - the scarce selection of tv channels. 25 cable channels are available, but none of the 4 major networks and no ESPN.
Enjoyed the happy welcome we received, nice owners. Very comfortable room and bed. Bathroom could be up dated however. Lovely location. A definite ski lodge atmosphere.
Location, Facilities. Meal, Staff
I really liked the living room on the main floor. The host was a neat guy, and had a good sense of humor. The rooms were nice. Good breakfast!
Owner was great, more than what we expected......
The bed- while sleeping you rolled towards middle of bed.
the breakfast, the staff, and the location
hard to regulate hot water, no phones in room
There was nothing wrong with this visit at all. Everything from Check in to check out was perfect.
Wifi was iffy but that is first world problems right? Ha
Close to Killington Mountain
Owner was rude. Place was run down, out dated. Mold in the basement? Hot tub closed, owner closed common areas, bar not open...I could go on & on
We called because we were arriving late. They left our key plus a friendly note at the desk. Very nice.
Love, love, loved the location. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. My family and I would definitely stay there again. My children loved the pool.
Everything. The hotel itself has a great cosy and authentic vintage feel. I did not expect that in fact for the price I paid. We arrived late and expected some troubles with checking in, but to my surprise, Paul has left the keys with a kind note for us and allowed us to check in the next day. This smooth check in was exactly what we needed after a long day. The breakfast menu was not extensive, but it was enough to keep us happy for our stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly and they immediately make you feel at home. The most important thing is this hotel does not feel commercial, it's as charming as it can be. There are probably similar or better hotels in the area, but this one was special to us. And don't forget that Kent Pond is a 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
The wifi coverage was very weak in the room. there was a little crack in the window that let many mosquitos help themselves to our blood as they please.
The price was right. Bed was comfortable. shower worked well. Had a frig. TV worked well. Feather pillow!!
Free continental breakfast lacked some good stuff I've seen at other free continental breakfasts. Like bread, bagels, eggs, fruit. The carpet looked like it could have been cleaner.
The price was right, but it seemed a little old and dirty.....small things that seem easy to repair but the care not taken
The staff was very helpful and friendly!! Great breakfast!!
Bed was a bit hard for me, but over all great value.
Good value for the price. Good breakfast and comfortable public spaces.
Lower level rooms are lower priced but dark and no view. Parking lot plowed once in the middle of a significant snow storm but not plowed again with 6" plus on the ground.
nice and quiet, helpful staff giving suggestions for local restaurants...very clean bedding and comfortable beds.
nothing i didn't like.
Clos to Killington without the Killington Prices.
More choices needed in the breakfast menu.
friendly atmosphere Great ambiance A comfortable relaxing inn Great innkeeper willing to please Just a great experience Great breakfast Super value for your money Highly recommend the Inn
Fantastic complimentary breakfast. Loved the pool table/game rooms and library areas.
Needs updating. Water in shower was yellow. No hot tub or pool in winter.
The staff was pretty friendly, clean rooms, and Loved the breakfast buffet!!! Also loved that there was a place to lock up your skies before entering the hotel.
Well I expected their to be a working / running pool, hottub, sauna, and fitness room as posted in Grey bonnet's ad on Facebook. After searching for 10 min, we were approached and I asked where the sauna was and the owner politely said it cost to much money to run the other side of the building where all the amenities are!!! So I am very upset about that. Especially after snowboarding all day, all I wanted to do Is jump in a hot tub!
Breakfast was great!
Floor was creeky, so we were woken up a few times by other people walking around.
Quiet. Nice fireplace.
Very uncomfortable beds. Needs some fixing up.
Last minute availability and proxity to Killington.
Proximity to mountain, but in a quiet area. Nice view from the dining area.
Breakfast is very bad. Typical 'american' food, just salt and grease. Unfortunately completely tasteless. Bed was not necessarily too comfortable.
