the location was pretty convenient. That is about all that we found to our liking.
From the second we turned into the unpaved dirt parking lot with 2 rusted out cars sitting around, it was downhill.the mattress was very thin, everything very old and no clock or phone in the room.Management was rude when we told them of our issues. If it had been $39 per night we would have expected this poor quality. We paid over $100 per night.
Secluded and quite
breakfast.......coffee and white toast that is it ! Lot of old building materials lying around
Check out easy drop box and good hot water pressure. TV worked
Very flat pillows. Must be 100 years old. Thin walls. Bathroom needed repair and updating badly.
The Rodeo was accross the road and Yellowstone was a short drive away. Staff are helpfull in there own country manner.
First appearance of the place looked like it had low security.
The bed. To hard. Air condition was to loud.
Smell, shower, bed, junk everywhere.
beds not very nice.not enough lights, old and rundown not worth $120 something a night id compare it to motel 6 wifi bad
Good shower with plenty of hot water The outside of the building looks nice
Very junky in the parking lot - old cars with flat tires, etc and the lobby was dark and unkept. The carpet in room 11 was dirty and dead bugs around the perimeter of the carpet. i checked the bed for bed bugs but the bed and mattress were clean. no kleenex, no hairdryer - we can live with-out those items but for the price we paid (compared to other hotels) one would think they would be provided. We stayed another night in Cody but changed hotels. Concerns me to book through you again.
too much junk around rooms not finished shower was really gross just was old and smelly on the inside
No extras included - just a bare minimun
On the far east outskirts of downtown Close to all services, fairgrounds, old Cody town Owner is very friendly and informative Clean Quiet
Overpriced for quality On the outskirts of downtown Dimly lighted parking on my building Needs total interior rehab, but clean AC overheated and quit. Lobby area could use a lift. For the price, breakfast? Fresh coffee? Gravel parking lot
Holes in the walls, tiles falling out, beds on the floor, tolet seat falling off, shower walls none if lean no if u tap on it u fall thruw it,the sink the oder the breakfest was dry white toste and oj. + more for only 158.00 bucks what a deal..... I whoud rate motel 6 a star over this places. The only reson we stayed my son and I was on the road for two days and needed a shower and there was on other place open.... I rate it from 1 to 10 a -100 . The outside looks O.K. There a + to it thanks........
The motel is being remodeled, on the outside (faux logs and faux stone) and is impressive. However, the interior paint over '50tees. The furnishings (including beds) must be from the 50tees! Also, there was no telephone or radio alarm in the room! The bathroom was a joke with an obsolete shower stall. and a cheap 12" x 14" mirror. A weird thing too: the room was divided in two by a wall, with one bed in a room by itself and insult to injury, I paid $159.00 for it! (That; swhat really hurts). BTW; their breakfast (ha,ha) was toast and coffee!
Friendly staff location
Older room, tiny bathroom- to be fair, they are soon to remodel that room.
The room was so out dated---at $161.00, the owner/operator wanted me to pay extra and he would put me in a little nicer room. I didn't pay extra and got: Small shower stall. Paint falling off wall. Noisy air conditioner (wall unit--very old). Had to shut it off due to noise and room left room warm. Continental breakfast was toast and orange drink. Heard all outside noise. Bright light shining from out side made it hard to sleep. Mattress was probably from the 80,s. Looked old and was uncomfortable. Limited wall outlets for charging phones, tablets etc. I have traveled to more than 40 states over the last 15 years and by far this was the worse hotel with the highest cost for what was received. Sleeping in a car would have been better choice.
Great location near east entrance of Yellowstone. Roughly 50 miles away.
A bit on the expensive side for what you are getting, but they can get away with charging those rates because of its location. If this lodge was at any other location you would probably pay $35/night.
Proximity to Cody Rodeo
Only coffee pot in entire place could have been had at any yard sale for 2 bucks.Sink was coming off the wall and had no stopper. The list goes on and on.Buyer beware....
The host was a really nice guy, and very helpful and friendly.
The beds were uncomfortable, the blankets smelled like urine, the carpet was filthy. The price for the room was very high - you would have expected a 4 star hotel at least for that price.
Cody was is a super place to visit, However not the Grizzly Bear Lodge.
The commode was in an area that didn't leave room for the toilet paper, nor you legs, nor a person. I lost a key, they still use keys and was charged $125 to: 1) have a locksmith come to re-key the lock plus (2) the cost of his labor (3) the cost of the parts..all for $125. They didn't have a written cost estimation. We were obliged to take the manager's word for what the locksmith said. It made the cost of a $140 room for 18 hours $260. All this for a really small room.
Toilet does not flush well. Hard mattress.
Rooms were clean
Price was high. Breakfast was generic bread and a squeeze bottle of jelly.
Great people. Friendly. Helpful. Room was clean. Location is good.
Bed was not comfortable. Room was a bit spartan.
Convenient to east entrance of Yellowstone
Noisy plumbing, creaky floors, no shampoo, uncomfortable bed
Not a lot.
No towel racks, phone, Kleenex, hair dryer, shampoo, hard bed, and fat- hard pillows. Built in end tables for very hard to sleep near because you kept hitting it with your arm. This room was way overpriced. Will never stay there again.
Fun theme motel with a nightly rodeo across the street!
