Check in a bit off. Key usage very particular to the key slot so we couldn't get either key to work even with several methods. When aid arrived, he showed us the trick but then the room not made up. Took 30" to get all in order
Quiet but only because it was transition from ski season to golf season. Convenient to town center.
They really need to revamp their cleaning and maintenance procedures. Our shower had black mold about an inch thick all around the edges of the tile floor and glass wall. I sprayed it with the shower hose and removed a lot. When I told the front desk about it she told me they couldn't do anything about it today, but she'd have it looked at the next day. I think cleaning/ scrubbing the shower should be a requirement daily and rooms inspected after cleaning. The window handle was missing and we had to pry it open to let fresh air in. Someone missed the ball here.
Nice hotel in a good location with a great sportsman lodge look.
Staff not interested , room keys did not work three times, wait staff in restruant don't know their job
The lodge was fantastic. The shuttle into town and up big mountain was great! All the staff were incredibly helpful. I'd definitely be back!
Everything was excellent, no complaints!
The staff was excellent and the room was beautiful and spacious. The food and service at the restaurant was amazing. I wish we would have booked our room for more days.
The pool and hot-tubs REALLY need to be kept up. The paint was chipping and new caulk needs applied. Felt "old" and kind of grungy with those being outdated. The drain in the shower wouldn't work properly. There were dust bunnies (small) on the sheets near the headboard. The windows had some mold on the sliders.
I liked the location, (felt woodsy, away from town by a few minutes.) Convenient to Glacier and Kalispell. Staff was very friendly and polite. Felt cozy---and was a nice quiet stay overall. Nice gift shop stocked. Shuttle service offered---nice benefit. 2 sinks in bathroom area- was nice. Stocked shampoo/ body wash and lotion was a nice bonus.
Your restaurant is to high priced we decided not eat there as prices way to high for us and we were ther 4 nights seen 2 people in restaurant,
Front desk and lounge employees great
Great decor. Very relaxing atmosphere. Nice amenities.
Don't laugh... Didn't like the toilet paper... Not soft.
1. Your staff is by far the most friendly and helpful of the perhaps hundreds of hotels I have stayed in! 2. Hot tubs and pool were sparkling clean! 3. The shuttle service was definitely an asset for those folks arriving and leaving by train, as well as providing access to the downtown area any time of the day. 4. The fireplaces were always kept going, adding to the warm ambience of the lobby and bar/restaurant. 5. Food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. 6. Guest rooms were large and clean. 7. My husband and I have come here to cross country on the golf course in the past. Not enough snow this year! 8. Grouse Mountain Lodge will continue to be a destination holiday for a girls get together or a couples outing!
I only wish there was a ski storage area. Hauling mine and my children's skis, boots and poles to our rooms each day was not ideal.
Shuttle service was always accommodating, restaurant never had to wait for a table, clean and affordable.
Although the room where we stayed was super clean, the free shower (which they let us use after we had checked out and got off the ski mtn but before catching our train) was out dated, dark, and unpleasant. The grout had mold and there were no doors for privacy.
The place let us check in early because we got off the train at 7:30am. The free shuttle picked us up and brought us to the hotel. We got the early check in and quickly changed to catch the shuttle for the ski resort. We were allowed to store our gear even when we checked out early (because of the train schedule). Then the free shuttle was a big factor for us on our return visit. Loved the lobby. It was so inviting people actually used it, including us!
Their website is not up to date. We arrived lated and expected the restaurant to be open until 9:30pm, we arrived at 8:50 and they said they were closing the restaurant. When inquired about the time they said they haven't updated the website to reflect the new time of 9pm. We would have gone somewhere else. The rooms were not that clean and it was very noisey late into the night and early morning.
The location and the view.
Bathroom tub needs replacing...
Location of the hotel
Shuttle to downtown running until 2am
Enjoyed the happy hour prices in the bar. The free shuttle for AMTRAK and Whitefish Ski Resort was a bonus.
The garbage's outside seemed to be full and no one changed them for our entire stay. Bit of an eye sore coming into the hotel. We also requested a top floor and we put on the very bottom floor which wasn't ideal for us but it worked out okay.
Overall stay was very well, staff was okay, not overly chatty but did their jobs fine. We used the "do no disturb" sign for our entire trip and very much appreciated the $5 credit for Logan's.
A little noisy, if you have the misfortune of loud neighbors
The historical ambience is outstanding, and the food and drink are excellent
The hot tub was rather dirty the first try, clean the next, but scalding hot - couldn't even go in. Lost power the first night and things were a little disorganized. Tried to use the sauna twice, but it never heated up. Silly little thing, but wanted to grab coffee on the way out and the carafe was empty and it was a 20 minute wait for a fresh pot.
Super comfortable beds and nice sized rooms. Friendly staff.
I liked the layout and decor of the whole hotel. Very relaxing. Would come back.
Beds were very comfy.
Huge Increase in price during my stay.
Bed was so comfortable I want to come back never had this in a hotel before
The only thing I didn't like was the trash left by some people by the outdoor hot tub. Of course the staff could have picked it up, but people should also pick up after themselves.
The staff was incredible. We had made several requests based on our needs and they tended to them beyond adequately and promptly.
Very reasonable and accommodating staff. There was a mix up with an extra special package that was booked and the manager ended up comping a night for the misunderstanding. Much appreciated!
Beds are great, Staff are super helpful. Over all best value in town!!!!!! You have to stay here.
