Close to Boardwalk and walking distance to quick stop stores. Friendly staff. Beds were extremely comfortable.
The breakfast didn't have much of a variety, especially for my young and picky eater.
Staff was nice and helpful. Being pet friendly was a plus.
Location is good to walk to the beach
Our window was broken, held up by a stick. We were there 16 yrs ago and it was lovely. ..Unfortunately I don't think any upgrades have been done since then. We were disappointed. .I didn't feel like I could walk with my shoes off, spots on carpet.
The pacific inn is a great hotel to stay in, the room is very clean, bed was comfortable, stuff was very friendly. I recommend this place for sure.
Price for a night in Santa Cruz was reasonable, but this is really a Motel, not a Hotel
I didn't feel safe there. Surrounding neighborhood pretty sketchy. First room I was given had not been cleaned, bed slept in, dirty towels on floor, pizza boxes etc in room. Had to go back to desk and ask for another room. Second room given the AC did not work, room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking facility
Chairs in room stained, poor lighting, bulbs burned out. Poor ventilation. I wouldn't stay there again.
Very loud ice cube machine! Checking only until midnight
I liked the location to the Boardwalk. I loved that there was a microwave and refridgerator in the room. The ac/heater worked wonderful. The bed was very cozy.
For the price, I would expect that all walkways would have working video cameras as the surrounding area is a bit murky. I also expected the pool to be heated, as advertised. Or at least indicate what the establishment considers heated, 75 degrees. As Santa Cruz can be a bit foggy a warmer pool would have been nice.
I liked the fact that they accepted pets! Aside from that I honestly have nothing good to say!
I thought the location was horrible. There was a lot of riff raff walking around the area. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've EVER SLEPT IN ; It felt like springs or a metal bar was pushing on your rib cage and lower back. The rooms were stuffy/muggy even with the (super small window) and the air on. The toilet paper roll dispenser was broken. The walls and light switches looked as they they hadnt been cleaned in months; filthy! The room was not worth $275 per night. I am thankful I only stayed one night! I will be sure to read others' reviews prior to booking another hotel!!!!
The breakfast is poor and mediocre quality. The price was to high for this motel. they charge double in my credit card and I still trying to recover this amount.
The Tea House Spa was a delight in downtown Santa Cruz.
The hotel was awful. The location is in a shady part of Santa Cruz with old trashy apartments across from the parking for the hotel. In fact, after having parked and taken our bags to our room, I came back to the car only to find one of the apartment residents urinating in front of our car while another was casing the cars parked in the port. As for the room, it wasn't just old, but stained, musty and hazardous. The hotel room hairdryer's outlet plug was held together with fabric tape, a definite fire hazard. The tub was cracking and the shower barely had any pressure at all. The air conditioner did not work and instead filled the room with warm moist air. The neighbors were extremely loud playing mariachi music for hours and the strong smell of marijuana was too much to deal with. We were so distraught by the whole thing we decided to check the bed for bed bugs. Although we didn't find any, we definitely did not want to stay here overnight, so we checked out at 11:30 pm. The young man working at the front desk couldn't give us a refund and the manager only ended up refunding 50% of the total price after a week and a half of calls and emails detailing our experience. Unless you can find a 5 star hotel in Santa Cruz, I suggest staying in Half Moon Bay.
The hotel is run down, the carpet was stained, which made it difficult to feel that the room was clean. Forget getting a good nights sleep, and it was the noisiest place I have ever been. All night long people walking above us, dropping things, combine that with an uncomfortable old bed, made for a very crabby family. To top it off, our room overlooked the indoor heated pool which gave our room a musty damp feeling. Maybe it was in my head, except after arriving home and unpacking, I realized all of our belongings were damp!!
Free parking, free wireless. Reasonable walking distance from city centre and beach (broadwalk).
Rather dirty floor. Pretty noisy room. Noisy and ineffective room aircon.
Front desk staff very pleasant. We arrived quite late. I called earlier to alert that we indeed would be showing up late. We arrived even later such that the front desk called us to see where we were. Thanks This place appears to be where families with younger children like to come and stay. There is a pool in a courtyard that was being enjoyed by some kids. The antique car show in Monterrey made getting an affordable room in the area very difficult. This place is affordable. We enjoyed visiting Santa Cruz for the day eating locally and walking the Municipal Wharf.
Facilities quite old. The toilet in our room leaked constantly so my husband was able to make a temp fix. In the morning we reported it and they said it would be fixed. As we arrived late and left late this did not benefit us but hopefully will benefit those who visit in the future.
handicapped room was big, wheelchair accessible location,
carpets were very dirty! not enough towels, not much to choice from for breakfast! my window faced the resident across parking! which there was a couple that fought all nite and other people talking loud! I did not sleep at all! im not sure if I would come back!
Staff very helpful and frienldy
Very basic breakfast in reception no where to eat and gone very quickly
The staff were very nice
What was noted
The amount I paid for the room I got was ridiculous. It had a musty smell to it when we walked in the bathroom had mold. And many things were broken. This hotel really needs to be remodeled.
It did the trick
The hotel is not walking distance to the beach. The hotel is in a horrible neighborhood. The room was cramped and it didn't look nice. The air conditioner was ok. The lady at the desk was friendly.
Good location, near beach and good restaurants (crepe place). Accommodative staff and good pool, we did not have kids, but looked like a great place for families
Little expensive for the basic amenities, but very reasonable for the good location in heart of santa cruz
there were stains on my pillow cases, sheets, and bath towels
Liked the location, loved the pool
Close to the boardwalk
Everyone slamming doors.
