Facilities were working
Very poor service with accommodations for dates of stay
Cleanliness pool and hot tub hours
very spacious room.
Well run place, we were actually moved to the adjacent hotel, also owned by the same chain, when the original booking could not provide us with a non-smoking room. The room was very large and had all the usual amenities. Quiet for so close to the freeway.
I have asthma and cleaning products or something in the room were irritating to me. I think this is standard stuff they have to do but I wish they would use less toxic alternatives. the whole place shook when someone walked by upstairs.
Same as above
The bed was not very comfortable
This was a comfortable and convenient hotel. The staff was very attentive and the room was clean an comfortable.
The hotel construction makes cellular service nearly non existent. Max bars outside but 0-1 inside, next to the window on the same side of the building I parked. Have cellular companies look at the issue.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was very quiet from traffic noise considering how close it is to I-5. Room was clean and well equipped.
Breakfast room poorly laid out, very cramped. Kitchenette in the room was open to the bed, so water splashed over from sink. Breakfast could be served until 10 instead of 9, so we could get a lay-in.
The staff was very personable, with every member we saw greeting us . . .and several carrying on extended conversations. It being located in Tumwater (near Olympia and Seattle) put us near the sights we wanted to see while not in the center of a noisy large city. All in all, the facility and amenities were really good, with only a few exceptions. Once again, for what we paid ($60/night), Guest House was an excellent value.
The WiFi was easily connected but signal was rather poor (usually only 1 bar). The bed was like papa bear's . . . a little too hard. Also, it was tough to regulate the temperature.
Convenient location, Decent breakfast, No hassle
HVAC noise, Outdated
Nice employees, comfortable bed, decent breakfast.
Heater didn't work in the first room we were put into. The hairdryer was out of order in the second one. The company needs to take care of deferred maintenance.
Strategic location and the breakfast spread that's value for money.
I like the pool, pool hours. Most staff was friendly.
Staying again within a couple days. Will evaluate again.
The location was ideal as the hotel sits next to I5 in Tumwater. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices. Indoor pool.
I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, starting with Monday 12/8/201: Was given a room on the third floor, near the end of the corridor. Nice and quiet location. I attempted to use the room telephone and Wi-Fi right away. Room phone gave me a busy signal when attempting to dial out and I could not get on the Wi-Fi. Went downstairs, notified the front desk clerk. She noted both complaints in a notebook for maintenance to check next day. Tuesday 12/9: New front desk clerk. As I sat in the lobby to access Wi-Fi, I repeated my story from the previous night and J. the clerk told me that maintenance had the day off, but he’s part of maintenance (?) and would look into the reported problems. I was gone most of the day and upon my return discovered that nothing had been resolved. I was stuck sitting in the lobby to access Wi-Fi and had to use my cell phone to make necessary calls. Wednesday 12/10: New front desk clerk B. After breakfast, I asked what was being done about my two complaints, B. replied that he’d only just found out and sent an email to maintenance and was waiting to hear back and that he couldn’t give me any more info at this time. By now I was fed up and asked to get a different room where the phones worked and Wi-Fi was accessible. We previewed a room on the second floor, where I checked the phones and Wi-Fi which both worked. - The good news is that I was able to change rooms. The bad news is that B. made me pack up all my belongings, return the old key and only then gave me the new room keys: “I can’t give you the new key without you first returning the old one.” - Nice going there! ‘Inconvenience the customer’ and ‘who cares’ are the motto I guess?! For the remainder of my stay the phones and Wi-Fi were working. It appears that Wi-Fi on the third floor is just too weak for a big building like that. Saturday 12/13: Front desk clerk B. checked me out. Hardly spoke, never asked how my stay was or anything else.
We have stayed here several times before on our way south and have found it to be excellent for our purposes.
Although I have not thought this before, the bed this time was old and not comfortable. They had put a 1" or so foam on top but this did not really help it. The bed needs a new mattress.
Clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Great value!
Didn't bring my swimsuit
Pleasant staff person gave us room number & keys about noon so we wouldn't have to check in at night when we came back to motel. She said we could put our luggage in the room but we chose no to, thank goodness, (read on)
Whwn we arrived around 9PM to go the room (we'd checked in at noon and were given keys) the keys would not work and there was light showing under the door, so we knew someone was in our room. The room number on the key envelope was correct. Front desk said, sorry, they made a mistake and put us in a room that was an upgrade as it had a fireplace and hottub. We were glad we hadn't put our belongings in the room earlier in the day. Also, rooms are clean but there are chips in the sink, carpets are soiled from age. We got a low price so it was a good value; we wouldn't pay a higher price for this motel unless they renovate it.
Our room was spotless--and I am particular about motels/hotels. Staff was courteous.
Room was very comfortable.
Breakfast left much to be desired - weird eggs, terrible sausage, and the coffee was very strong (just a personal preference).
Big room Good breakfast for a free one
I like the room layout, it is spacious, love the kitchenette, the carpet was very clean, plenty of towels. The hotel offers many amenities for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The matress is sagging a little bit.
facilities for handicap room were excellent
pillows could be improved
The rooms and facilities were clean, and the kids really enjoyed the pool. The room was very comfortable, and the AC was great since it was so hot outside. The waffle maker in the breakfast area was a plus, and the food selection was pretty good.
The breakfast area is very small and crowded, and the hotel lobby needs some work.
