Only location nothing else. Very near to Hollywood and highland station, near to Chinese theater and Kodak It has nothing else very poor, unclean, horrible sheets, unhelpful reception, breakfast: is donuts and American coffee, horrible bathroom only one soap nothing else, floor is full of cigarettes burns, old fashion decor, noisy, not money value, I had night mare that I ll find an insect or something walking on me while sleeping but thanks god it was bad experience to this extend.

HGI is an acceptable hotel. The staff is friendly, but at times came off as a little pushy. I feel as if ownership is trying to clean up HGI's image, which in its own weird way is working. If you are on a budget its not bad, but at the same time its certainly not anything to write home about. Parking is RIDICULOUSLY tight, and having to alert the office attendant everytime i wanted to enter the garage downstairs got old fast. Installing a button on the gate to instantly tell the attendant you are wanting in seems like a quick and easy fix. Or even a camera so they can see someone wants in would work too. Especially since the property is littered with them. At one point, one of the attendants told me i have a hot girl staying next door to me, then he proceeded to dig out her records and tell me where she was from. Creepy if u ask me. Not to mention the no cancellation policy, which says something in itself.

I like the location of this hotel since it is only a street over from Hollywood boulevard where the Hollywood stars are located on the street sidewalks. I have to say that I've been going to this hotel for about four years every year I go and have always had a great experience; hence the reason I continue to book there. But this year was definitely a different experience. Arriving there the gentlemen was very friendly and helpful in getting us set up. But when we got to the room the water wouldn't get hot, the beds were worst than sleeping on the ground, and what's worse, they had me park my car in the back under some garage port where my car hardly fit in. Then they wanted the keys to my car when I was leaving to walk Hollywood boulevard.

I like that we were close to hollywood blvd and the main atractions just some bloocks. The beds were confortable I was surprised when I tried to use the internet and they told me 6dollars per day per computer, as we were three that was expensive, but finally with one ticket easch computer we could use the internet during our 4 nights.

Nothing was good about this hotel When we checked in the man at the front desk was very rude & had a bad attitude. We walked into our room & it smelt like smoke when we asked can we be changed to another room he said " no that the air freshner" our toilet handle had to be turned 6 times for it to flush , the fridge diddnt get cold & when we asked for another one he tried to charge us , the so called " continental breakfast " was cheap coffee & day old donuts that you are only allowed to get one . I wouldn't recommend anyone stay at this hotel it's not even worth what they charge , it's gross

Great location for an overnight in Hollywood. We go here because it's within easy walking distance to a club we like, and the rate, while it would get you a nicer and cleaner place further away, is fair for its location. We had two cars for four people, and had to pay $20 extra to park the second car in the lot. Given that the first car is free (and many hotels in areas where it's far easier to park charge for each car), it was by no means unreasonable, just an unexpected expense, and one we didn't have to pay the first time we stayed there.

Motel style accomodation in good location in Hollywood. Great value for money, this is not 5 star accommodation but for me, my sister and boyfriend was a Better option than a hostel. Max at front desk was very helpful, rooms and bathroom were very clean which was our main concern. 5-10 mins walk from metro and walk of fame. Excellent budget accommodation. Was a little bit noisy at night but that is to be expected in the Hollywood area. Wifi was 6 usd per day per device, so between 3 people for 3 days that was a little expensive.

Only the location. They mention free breakfast which is only donut and cofee ( why bother?) also I paid for Internet and I couldn't use it at all. It was sloop slow and when complained they said because too many people were trying to login. Which it was not acceptable to me. Beside wasting money it made me so angry. I was about to break my lap top. Overal was sucks:( Services. Internet.

The price for the room was inexpensive . It was located close to the conference I was attending. They had a secure parking lot within the hotel grounds. Room was clean and mattress was firm. Not too noisy even though you are right on SunSet Blvd. Cost of wireless internet access is $ 6.00 per day. I chose to go to the nearless Starbucks to access my email there instead . Their idea of a breakfast is coffee and a box of assorted donuts from a local stand. Why even bother? The parking lot is secure , but spaces are very tiny , hope you are driving a compact car! There is no desk lamp for reading and the lights in room are all low wattage so , lighting is dim overall. Cable televsion channels mostly noisey and grainey. But the room is inexpensive so my expectations are realistic

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. It is very centrally located and in a very safe area. Only 5-10 minutes walk to Hollywood Blv, 5-10 min walk to Santa Monica Blvrd where you can easily catch a bus to Santa Monica beach, Beverly Hills, Farmers Market etc. It is a great value for the price of the room and they were cleaned and maintained daily with fresh towels, bedding etc.Aircon and a mini fridge were a bonus :) I plus 2 other friends found it very comfortable and the location is great! Would greatly recommend it ( unless you are super fussy)
