My husband and I were very pleased w/our stay at the Gulf Stand. I was a little worried after I made the reservation, there were very negative critiques about this resort on another website, but I am happy to say they were very unwarranted. The facilities were very clean and user friendly. The parking lot is convenient and spacious and the access to the glistening sandy beach is unbeatable.

The only redeeming quality of this property is the location. The condo was filthy, bookings.com should not represent this property. The condo contained furniture that was unsafe and falling apart. The sheets were threadbare. The walls were damaged, the utensils were dirty and this list could go on and on. Bookings.com should be embarrassed to represent this property.

Location and that it is not too large and busy. Pool/patio area is very small and difficult to use lounge chairs. The pull out sofa was broken and our kids had to sleep on the floor.

The resort was well constructed and well maintained. Other than the pool area being a little small, everything was great. The unit had two restrooms and one bedroom plus living/dining/kitchen. We liked it!

Beach access. The condo itself was fine, for a moderately priced stay. Nothing great, nothing really bad. Could have been just a little bit cleaner. Under bed, behind couch etc. needed to be vacuumed. Although, the surface places - counter tops, main floor etc. were clean.Side of refrigerator was rusty/moldy and was gross to look at. Internet access was intermittent and was frustrating.

Easy access to family and Eckerd college combined with ocean across the street from a small choc dipped cone and down the road from steam a warm friendly Coffee, breakfast, soon to be Tapas and Jazz bar. Perfect for 4 day visit. We checked in late so never met staff until check out. Didn't have to go out and buy TP, Paper towels, laundry soap... Convenient pleasant 4 day visit. Ants galore view and sounds of parking lot VS ocean Will try for oceanfron 01 or 02 rooms next time so we can hear the ocean

L'appartement que nous avions loués avait la vue sur la route et le parking et j'avais pourtant bien demandé vue sur la mer . certes on apercevait la mer sur le côté ,Mais ce qui nous a gâche le plus le séjour était le bruit des voitures ;On a voulu changer d'appartement dès le 1er jour à cause du bruit mais aucune discussion fut possible avec le manager ; Pourtant c'était la basse saison et il aurait pu nous octroyer un appartement sur la plage ! juste pour votre info il faut bien spécifier waterfront pour être devant et non à l'arrière . et en basse saison inutile de réserver quoique ce soit , il y a de la place partout et on peut négocier les prix .

I loved being right on the Gulf, and walking distance to shopping, restaurants, both excursions anything you could need and want. The kitchen was better equipped than the one I have at home. I missed nothing. It's a real homy place where one could live forever. I felt very comfortable there. Next time we come I'll make sure that we are on one of the higher floors for full gulf view.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gulf Strand. Very friendly and convenient location. The wifi was not up to par. Very difficult to log in and stay logged onto internet.

The location is phenomenal. The photo of the room they advertise on booking.com did not even remotely match the room that we received, which I would describe as early American nursing home. Not the "modern, well-appointed" accomodation we had expected. Instead of a full or queen sized bed, we got two twins shoved together.

It was quiet and very good proximity to the beach, grocery store, restaurants and liquor store. The apartment was we'll equipped and convenient. No recycling options. I had to trash bottles, plastic and cans which are basic recycling materials.
