price, owner/staff, comfortable, clean
could not get on the internet could have been my issue. smokers.
A nice setting run by a family who keep everything very clean and neat. Very friendly owners who were helpful and pleasant.
We had to ask for assistance with the TV and the phone to get them working and the phone never did.Noisy when the train goes through.
inexpensive, good location
beds were a bit stiff, poor ventilation
H Motel is a family run motel, it is like stepping back in time. It is comfortable and unpretentious, good value and convenient. Close to the center of Fruita, which means great for Mountain biking!
Clean comfortable. A bit retro but perfect for an overnight. Good value for the money
location, you got what you paid for, room was clean, but small, "breakfast" had to be picked up in office and taken to room to eat, fresh fruit was available along with pastries, yogurt, etc. The owner supplied hot water and tea bag upon request, very pleasant
no a/c, minimum toiletries supplied, freezer had leftover ice cream in it
The rooms were clean and sheets fresh for under a hundred dollars! Great restaurant called "Judy's" within walking distance as well as grocery store and a park. We will stay again.
Though room wasn't too fancy, it was very clean & comfortable
At first I had some trouble with the shower faucet but once I figured it out it worked fine.
Old style, but everything was clean and working. I had the farthest room from the office and my WiFi didn't work in the room. Sitting in the chair right outside the door it worked fine (range limit. ) I recommend and will stay there again.
Nothing other than the WiFi.
great value, nice owners. easy in and out. large rooms.
Parking in front of door. Great shower with water shut-off switch. Cozy room.
how clean everything was, not brand new but very well kept
A quiet retreat in the valley! Very clean, great staff, home like environment! Great value, well located, and great local people in the agricultural hub of Fruit a.
The biggest thing was low cost. The person I dealt with was friendly. The place was quiet enough. Despite being very old, the place was as clean as most.
The air conditioner was not very good. The place was quite old and it was difficult to plug phone and computer chargers.
Staff was great, the beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Decent selection for breakfast (bagels, fruit, yogurt). Only 2 blocks from cute downtown. Benches and grassy area outside was a welcome surprise.
The room wasn't exactly huge (there were 5 of us) but was perfect for our overnight stop in Fruita.
nice and friendly staff good location clean
Friendly management Good breakfast Clean
Wifi was a bit hit and miss
Nice staff. Good free breakfast. Clean room. Decent price.
No pool or room service
Room had a small refrigerator and microwave.
The motel is located off the Interstate and is difficult to find the first time. It is very old, still has a radiator for heat in the winter, but has been restored. The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable. My back hurt when I awoke in the morning, making it impossible to get that extra half hour of sleep. Breakfast didn't start until 7 AM and we wanted to be back on the road at 6. The lady at the front desk said there was no place to eat in the office, so you had to go get your breakfast and take it back to your room. Don't know what the breakfast consisted of because we didn't stick around. The TV was the old style and only had 10 channels. There was only one restaurant close to the motel. The rest were on the other side of the freeway and the selection was limited.
Owner was very friendly. Room was spacious.
Mosquites were horrible in the area and I think there was a hole in the bathroom screen so they were getting in. Bed was a bit uncomfortable and we didn't even take a shower as it was tile and grout and didn't seem sanitary. Plus there was no shower head...just a spout. We didn't eat the free breakfast as it was just donuts and such. There was wifi but I couldn't load any pages.
Tiled showers. Walking distance to downtown and supermarket.
WiFi didn't work; bandwidth and speed was too low and thus computer didn't allow a connection.
loved the option of 3 beds In 1 room
Shower was cold until the water was turned on by attendance. Continental breakfast was not at all good.
The H Motel is a well-maintained quaint 1950s motel. The rooms were still heated with radiators, though they now also had air conditioning and WiFi. While it was located on a frontage row, it was not noisy. The beds were very comfortable.
We had specifically called the H Motel and requested to pay in advance, even though we had made the reservation through Booking.com We had given them the credit card number. We called them 2 days before we arrived to verify the pre-pay. When we got there, they had no record of a pre-pay and we were forced to pay at that time. It worked out OK, but it could have ruined our budget.
