Horrible valet parking service, hit my truck and never want to take responsibility for what they did... never come back there again thats for sure.
Size & comfort of room. The concierge was very helpful & got me tickets to a sold out gig at House of Blues. When my toilet broke it was fixed immediately. Breakfast team In chucks very friendly & professional.
I had to ask twice for my room safe to be repaired. At check in they forgot to give me breakfast passes & I mistakenly paid for my 1st of 4. I was told this would be removed on 2 occasions but it wasn't. More info needed in a book in room specific to this hotel
Room view not very good. exercise room very nice but several of the machines were not working properly. Tread climber would not start up and one treadmill volume would not work on the tv.
the mattress was really comfy. the lift was so fast and steady! spacious area for double bedroom. included breakfast was delicious with various selection, the waitress Sarah was so friendly and warm, we liked her service a lot.
my stay was included breakfast plan and hotel gave vouchers of Chuck's restaurant for it. in our 6 days, there was a rude waitress not giving welcome attitude to us until we mentioned it to her colleague then she started to 'being nice'. after meal she brought us a bill to pay for breaky but she totally forgot we gave breakfast vouchers before she served us, which mean we didn't need to pay when our budget was under $20 per person. anyways, we were all upset a well-recommand hotel not training staff properly. also we had taxi that doorman recommend us to airport which were 20% more than normal taxi, the driver wasted 10 mins to another hotel and wanted another driver having us to airport because she got a call from other customer. we're pissed that running late to airport and had to bring down all suitcases down to another taxi so we rejected to change taxi. the service was inappropriate and unsatisfied.
Great price and location great value for the money
Have stayed here about 10x on both business and leisure. It's half museum, half hotel. Great character and usually one of the least expensive nice hotels for a few blocks. Recommend you look at the weather report before paying for a tower upgrade.

The location was great. Close to trains and local atractions. The view from our room in the tower was spectacular.
I didn't feel that for the price paid that the ammenities matched. I didn't like that we needed to be careful not to remove anything from refridgerator or face charges for those items. Wi-Fi was not included. Housekeeping was knocking on the door at 8:15 am which is very early. Just found the hotel room not clean and very noisy.
Location was excellent, paid for upgrade to suite which meant bigger spacious room but did not have kitchenette area. View was excellent as their were windows on 2 sides...corner room. Bar area fair ...nice club feel on Saturdays. Other than that quiet hotel as fair as club scene goes Sunday-Friday.
The suite I paid to upgrade to showed Hard Rock charitable donation on bill at $40 per day instead of showing room upgrade. That's suspicious! To use a microwave in my upgraded suite was $10 to bring it up to the room. No free WiFi. Room for 4 had to ask for more towels to accommodate us which was brought up quickly. After we left tips for housekeeping didn't have to ask for a thing. Front desk staff doesn't seem overly friendly (talkative) which seems unpleasant at times. Con. desk and bell hop were very nice and accommodating... Overall good hotel it's the extras that's missing!
comfort/cleanliness of room (once we were moved from initial room)
Room booked was not room given upon arrival. Room did not have a couch as advertised. Room also had nonworking heat, nonworking TV, nonworking phone and size of room was NOT spacious. Had to go down to front desk then wait a while before front desk staff sent someone up to look into issues. Staff said room heater was broken and remote was broken/TV not working right. Waited some more, then taken to a room with more space, a chair, working heat and working TV/remote. Concierge also not helpful on Thanksgiving with regard to booking circus tickets the next night. Staff booked wrong time and many issues with computer occurred. Had to redo the whole thing ourselves later. Attached restaurant was EXTREMELY expensive for dinner, so didn't even try it. Breakfast was closer to normal in price but only fair in quality.
Stayed two nights. Enjoyed the band in the evening, though I was a bit surprised that neither night the bands performed Rock. Room was nice, appreciated the décor, though the lounge chair was mainly there for looks, not comfort.
Staff took care of things promptly, but there were a series of miscellaneous minor problems: 1) No shampoo 2) TV didn't start properly 3) Shower temperature was inconsistent. 4) Curtain was off the hook so didn't close.

The location couldn't be better and that is certainly reflected in the cost, walking distance from everything in the loop, river north, navy pier. In a room with a view of Michigan Ave looking at Wacker onto the river. The staff was friendly and helpful will all requests.
Average room that does little to jump out and impress you. Minimal space for valet parking, taxi, etc.
This hotel is situated in the heart of everything. It is only 2 blocks away from Millenium Park and Cloud Gate (aka The Bean), 2 blocks away from the Chicago River; shops, restaurants and bars are all around you. We were also in walking distance to Soldier Field for a Chicago Bears game. So much to do in this area that we actually only spent our very last day North of the Chicago River at Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile.
My upgrade wasn't available upon check in. Even though I was warned that it possibly would not be, I was looking forward to having a room in the tower with a better view of the city. Our room was a Platinum King room and it was huge. It was located on the 3rd floor and had a street view. Our toilet ran in our bathroom. But I was so exhausted every night that it did not keep me up. Not too much to complain about. Had a great time here.

The suite has seen better days and the WiFi was very expensive.
I was charged twice for one night stay. You try to contact them and there is no email or anything to get ahold of them and being overseas is harder to contact. The staff was uptight, rude and unhelpful. They looked at you like you were some low class person. Also upon check in they said I had no reservation and said booking.com failed to book my room.
