Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel    

Every person in the hotel needed to be TIPPED (demanded) before doing anything for hotel guests. Even the pool person needed to be tipped before allowing us to sit on pool chairs that no one else was sitting at.

Location, friendly staff, nice rooms

Pool party's throughout the week continuously, only informed about one night. So loud you can't even hear the TV.

Bell staff were very helpful especially getting a cab to the airport.

Our room was on the 3rd floor which over looked the roof air conditioning units. The air conditioning in the room was very noisy.

Loved the location Loved the valet - $33 but easy Loved the reservation manager (Karim) very accommodating and helpful! Room was gorgeous, view of Hollywood sign! Great burger joint downstairs. Loved the style of the hotel, I had a young child with me and its not the best place for him but it was still fine. Great pool and gym Pool was always full but they offered alternatives to swim in another hotel- really nice!

It's a bit too trendy for me Front desk girls were a little snobby. Hotel was clean but could have been a little cleaner.

Location was key for us. Valet staff were great! Loved meeting lucy the fat squirrel :-)

Hotel was too dark and the ac unit in our room was very loud! View from our room was crap too!

Position on Hollywood boulevade. Easy access to all tourist highlights. Friendly, helpful staff.

Crowds & bar prices at the tropicana pool. Very small bathroom with drainage problem. Very noisy aircon in room.

Staff were brilliant, and made any problem disappear...they couldn't have been more helpful...even when we dropped our luggage 2 days early so that we could go to Vegas....never a problem. Brilliant, particularly the concierges

I was disappointed that the hotel was higher end cost wise, and yet even the coffee in room was on a charge. Noticeable difference between friendly staff in hotel and those in 25'

The location was great, right in the middle of everything.

Staff had trouble finding us a room even though we had booked months ago. Room was small for the price. Staff weren't clear about taxes so bill was much higher in the end than we had planned. For $900 for 2 nights I think it is poor value for money. Upon check out we asked staff for a quote to stay there in a month when we return to la - staff stated that they could not do this and that we needed to look it up online - no repeat business from us as a result, poor form.

The decor in the pool side rooms was great. It was a very stylish room

They did not make it clear that they would be holding a massive pool party there until the moment we were checking in. Had my wife and I been interested in attending a pool party till 2 in the morning each night, it would have been great, but we had no interest.

Location was great, pool scene was pretty good.

Originally had four people on the hotel reservation and the pool was only letting two people in even after I was specifically told when I booked the room that I could get all four of us in the pool. We found a work around but that was really annoying.

Love the design of the place and the pool area! Great Ambiance!

Fee for overnight parking... As hotel guest I don't think you should be charged!

The atmosphere was great.

The service in restaurant was really bad. Went twice for dinner the food was good but the service really bad.

Very nice experience with this hotel. Room and staff were great. Its location is ideal for having fun in Hollywood. Given the choice, I would not stay anywhere else in Hollywood. Excellent restaurant in the hotel.

There was no shower door or shower curtain. No matter how careful I was with the water flow, water flooded out onto the bathroom floor by the gallon. It's not that these things were merely missing. The shower was apparently designed not to have them. Very odd!

I liked the location and the pool area. Beds were very comfortable

It was way too expensive for what it was. Parking for $30 per day was excessive and so was the internet. Really felt a bit ripped off when I realised it cost me nearly a $900 for just three nights stay. Also pool closed at 7pm which was way too early and prices were excessive at the pool bar

Elevators, carpet, windows very dirty Room smelled like smoke, cigarettes and marijuana Elevators very slow. Many times we had to wait up to 10 minutes to get an elevator.

Love the staff: they were friendly and super helpful. The exception was the pool staff where there was a party: quite arrogant Love the location And love the beautiful inside design of the hotel.

If you want a place to chill and relax on the pool and sleep like a baby after along day, this hotel is not for you (at least over the weekends). If you are into partying all day and all night and not bothered by people talking in the next room at 3:00am (because you are either talking too or even not there)

Valet/ parking should be free to guests of hotel.. First time to Hollywood with family and we were not offered a room that faced the strip.. That would have been nice!!

The service was excellent. I asked for a room with a view and got a corner room on 12th floor!!! excellent.

the bathroom was small. the Lobby was dark and it was odd that reception was on a different level.

Room was good size, quiet and very comfortable bed. Tropicana pool bar is a top spot to hang out, socialise and party. 2 great places to eat in there with the 25 degrees burger bar and the uppermarket public bar. Also very central to all the cool stuff and right on the Hollywood walk of fame;-) Cannot recommend this place more highly;-))

Hotel had a lot of history. Our room as comfortable, clean and large. Good location. If i stayed there again it would only be due to the size of the room and the history of the hotel.

Staff were ok, didn't explain what amenities the hotel had. Amenities such as pool was closed for private functions. So you pay to stay at hotel and can't use the facilities.

The location is good.

We booked and stayed In this hotel with our family and kids 5 nights. In general we didn't like this hotel and can't recommend it to other families. -the interior designs and maintaining is too dark, old and not so impressive! - prices are not so good for this level.
