Design. Location. Housekeeping staff were caring and efficient. Pool and the view.
Pool staff - inattentive and a touch too much attitude. Queen rooms are quite small, book a king if you can.
Cleanliness Friendly/helpful staff Funky rooms
Everything was fantastic
Booking.com is the leading interface today for booking a trip. The other thing I liked is that I only had to stay one night.
For the price, the room was too small, the decor, fixtures and amenities were all very cheap in look and feel. The room is not practical for true overnight guests. By true, I mean actual hotel guests staying in the City; it is quite suitable for the hourly crowd that filters in from Scores (a large and loud strip club across the street). By practical I mean having any type of table top, shelving or seating to make the use of the room both comfortable and efficient for your stay. Good luck getting ready because the bathroom is as small as a portapotty and there is hardly a spot to rest your toothbrush. While beauty and taste are subjective, service shouldn't be and there simply wasn't the faintest sign of hospitality in the wannabe hip Chelsea hotel. As a former hospitality executive myself, I would send an army of guest service trainers to shape up this sorry excuse for a hotel. It is more like a hostel with hip music, rude hipster employees and dark lighting to hide the economical design choices. No, I am not an old bitter man. I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn, work at a leading creative agency and would be considered the ideal demographic for this shameful excuse of an upscale attempt at being a trendy hotel. For the money, stay somewhere else! Heck, there are plenty of other great neighborhoods. Uber to Chelsea (if you need/want to be there) is $15/20 from most places one would stay as another option.
The bed design is very poor, it is very dangerous especially at night to step off the platform. I almost fell on the concrete floor because it was not lit. I would suggest for them to use some kind of light to illuminate the gap between the platform and the floor
The Staff were very helpful, cheerful and dealt with any requests very quickly. The coffee was Great (An Americano) Will definitely stay here again when in NYC.
The Elevator could have done with a Vaccume, and the Aircon. wasn't switched on in the hallways leading to the rooms so you walked out of the Elevator into a very hot corridor- Maybe they had issues at the time of our stay. The pool upstairs was very dirty, with a sludge of sunscreen lotion and hair floating onto..so we just didn't go up there. In saying that, our room was very clean and we loved having the use of the Aesop Products.
Modern, trendy, great location and friendly staff. The concept of the hotel is amazing and the rooms are excellent. If you decide to go to the rooftop, you won't regret it.
The carpet on each floor is stained and dirty. It cheapens the hotels look. The airplay sometimes worked.
It is close to Chelsea piers
Bed was on the floor. Room was in front of hotel, there was not enough sound proofing to prevent outside noise
Toiletries were nice and there was a good number of towels in the bathroom. Relatively friendly staff.
Cramped hallway - and therefore you can easily hear doors closing and shutting. Not helpful for someone really looking to get sleep. Very awkward location in a fairly desolate street for Manhattan; there were limited eateries withing immediate walking distance and there were numerous homeless people and beggars around. Internet at certain times was slow.
The hotel is quite clean, new, and well located in NY. A great value.
The hotel is quite trendy, which is cool, but the location is just a bit "off." Definitely would recommend to trendies, but small rooms and minimalist deco, with active night life would not allow me to recommend for families.
location in the middle of Chelsea
location a long trek from the subway or PATH, no desk chair and no tissues in the room!
Can't fault the hotel. Great location, fantastic staff, rooms spotless, rooftop bar amazing, food spectacular. Only problem was that I didn't have more time there. Will definitely be starting there again.
Such an easy and natural place to base oneself in the city for a short trip. Could not have been more convenient. Fantastic for a solo traveler. Good dining/drinking/working spaces on ground floor and roof terrace.
Minor difficulties connecting to web.
location was good
pool not larger than a bath - cannot be called pool !! - pool lounge used by a lot of young people not hotel's customers and making a lot of noise until late - I informed the hotel we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and nothing particular has been organised or offered to celebrate not even a bottle of water! would not recommend too expensive for what it is - on the top a lot of work is taking place close to the hotel so impossible to rest after 07.00 am.
Some employs and the wi-fi
Sme employs, noisy day and night, more a bar and a restaurante than a hotel, bed on the floor, swiming pool in the middle of the restaurant, and I asked to wake me up and they didn't
Great location for high line! Very friendly staff. Nice room. Great roof top restaurant! I will stay here again.
Design and style
It had an interesting feel. I adored the roof bar, restaurant and most especially the pool. Liked the food. Good breakfast. Nice and relaxed.
The room was so super cool it was almost impossible to find the light switches and the blind controls. Would have appreciated being shown around the room. Was not a fan of the squashy chair. Liked the bathroom kit.
- excellent espresso & juices - staff is very helping
- tiny room (category uptown queen) - function follows design - not much storage space - no soap, no toilet brush - room service forgets to replace towels, toilet paper, glasses - air conditioning in dining room close to freezing cold
The staff. Joe, Michael and Mani in particular were all very pleasant and helpful. Roof terrace. Great vibe, view and lovely cocktails. Good location, great having a view of the High Line from the room.
Everything was pretty good, although I felt the room was a bit "cold". I love minimalist but there was nothing cosy about being in the room. Perhaps a few more soft furnishings would have helped soften the space visually and acoustically.
Hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. Good value for money. Nothing to complain about.
The hotel is in a great location for visiting the Chelsea galleries and The Highline. Great staff, friendly and always helpful. Excellent breakfasts!
The in-room wi-fi did not provide a consistent connection, most obvious when trying to play the pre-loaded music from the in-room iPad via AirPlay.
Too dark Very narrow
Food. Staff. Coolness. Location. Bathroom.
No chair in room. Very small room. Construction noise on my side of hotel.
Loved the general atmosphere at the hotel. The staff were very attentive without being in your face.
Rooftop bar and restaurant were closed which was the main reason for booking.
The design and style, service, food comfort if the mattress, cleanliness .
No shower door, small room and the Resturant at the hotel closed early.
