joe the manager was really helpfull and friendly it was so relaxing around the pool and only 5 mins away from beach had a great stay at amber tides ruby and mala
could do with a safe in the room
First time at AT. I recieved a call to confirm my arrival and accomodations were made for late arrival. Staff was very friendly the next morning to complete check-in. Location was very convenient for getting places. Easy walk to the beach and not on a main busy street. We didn't have to worry about late night walkers and noise. It was quiet and felt private. Pool facility was nice to relax and take a beach break. We didn't use the grills but would have been to our disposal and convinent if we decided to. Our room was nice and clean. Not necessarily updated as far as decor goes, but having tile floors were nice because we didn't feel bad tracking in sand from the beach. Bed was comfortable, shower had adequate pressure and hot water, air contitioner and TV worked...what more did we need.
Our privacy was respected but the one day we left our maid service tag on the door, our room was overlooked and not cleaned. As soon as it was discovered though, it was cleaned very promplty
I liked the kitchen and the aura of a little piece of paradise with the trees and setting. The staff was very friendly.
The beds were not very comfortable and I found a room a little farther down the coast that was right on the beach for a cheaper price. P.S if the hot tub was HOT it would be a big plus.
Clean pool. Great location, close to beach and restaurants.
Our room (10) could do with a major update. It looked like there had previously been carpet in the room but it had been removed and nothing done to the floor after. You could still see where it had been glued down. The white baseboards where almost brown in some places. No electrical outlet in the bathroom, no hair dryer unless you wanted to go to the office to get one. Out of the 7 days we were there the office was closed for 4 and if you needed anything you had to walk down the street to their other hotel. We didn't bother to try and get another place, we were at the beach most of the time anyway.. But I wouldn't return.. I'd spend a little more for a more updated place.
Pictures online were deceiving
Beds were not stable
The location is great, very close to the sea front and all its amenities. I was really worried about staying here after reading some reviews but if you lower your expectations then you may be pleasantly surprised. We paid a total $270 for 4 people for 3 nights. Yes, I'm sure that other hotels would have been more luxurious but would have been at least 3 times more expensive!
People smoking by the pool. Tired decor - didn't really want to cook in the kitchen area despite this being one of the reasons I booked the property.
I liked how close it was to the beach . We did not have to pay for parking just walked to the beach. I also like that they had a grill by the pool.
Motel needs a little upgrading.
We loved the pool. Right outside our door. Beware if u don't leave the pool promptly at 10. U will be berated by staff....really.
That the pool closed at 10. Bathroom had no saftey bars or not skid mat. Had to put yr bags on the floor. No place to put anything. The room has tile floors, not mats.were provided. No housekeeping either.
The location was great and the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.
The rooms were filthy. The cleaning staff left dirty cups/coffee cleaner, they "serviced" the room and did not change the towels for clean towels, but rather folded the dirty towels on the floor and hung them up for us to re-use. The floors were sticky. Overall, the reviews are misleading and I would not recommend staying here even for $117 a night. I'd spring for the extra $20 or so and stay somewhere clean.
It was very close to the beach . Only had to walk like a block and close to restraunts. The beach is amazing. If you are really picky this isn't your place. We loved the pools and the quiet atmosphere.
They just need to upgrade the air conditioners to bigger btu. Which they said they will be doing . It's not luxury but, well worth the money.
Location - very close to the beach.
Our room was a little small
We felt right at home at Amber Tides. The kitchen was adequate and the grills out by the pool were great. The pool was very nice! We have a very relaxing time and met some very nice people.
Bed was not as comfy as I wanted.
The last day
The insecure fill of the room and the poor quality
Air conditioning was cold, room had a mini kitchen, ice machine was close to our room, we had a poolside room, and it was very comfortable.
The floors Inn the room were a little sandy.
Pool and location
Rude staff, did not have clean towels, trash was not taking out for 3 days.
Pool was pretty and location was good.
Room was too small, very worn. Kitchen table top not secured. Chairs on patio were broken. Dresser drawers didn't close properly. No soap dish or place to put anything in the shower. Maid service was not good and we had to ask 4 times to get service. No one at the front desk during business hours.
We had the pool all to ourselves. Heavenly and peaceful. Very close to the beach. Very helpful one person running several motels.
No food supplies ie shop. But we did eat out. No safe.
Price way too high for what you get. Sterile and dark room (standard). Ac too noisy. Would NOT recommend it.
Location was perfect distance from the beach and shops.
I didn't like the construction going on right around the corner of the motel. That was not a good sound to hear first thing in the morning. The pool was right in front of my room and the noise from the other guests and kids were loud.
Amber Tides was so close to everything w out the ridiculous prices. It made it real for my wife and I to spend a weekend near the beach. Joe is so cool, friendly and helpful. We hung out late one night around the pool w a couple of other guests, laughed and drank. Had a great time and would definitely stop by again when we go back to Clearwater Bch.
Nothing, wish we could've stayed longer.
The owner was really friendly. Nice price and location. The pool was warm and nice and the location was good. Cosy at night with lights in the green pool area.
The glasses in our room weren´t Clean when we arrived. But who cares.
Joe the manager was very helpful location excellent good value for money
Pool area needed regular cleaning
Nice hotel with good swimming pools and common area with grill. Enough quality for this price.
Loud air-conditioning, very small room with only little light, hardly working wifi.
It is a cute, old fashioned "mom and pop" motel. It has a clean, heated pool which was a plus on the cooler day we showed up. It has a little kitchen and the room was larger than we expected for a small motel.
It was priced too high for what it is. I booked on line through booking.com not realizing that you can get far lower pricing by just showing up and finding a room. I suppose that Clearwater Beach prices are simply higher than other beach communities, but the beach is the same, as are all the beach shops. It should be priced about $40 less for what you get.
The management was extremely rude, check out is very early, and there were bed bugs in our bed!!! We had to go home and immediately wash everything to hopefully prevent infestation. My sister woke up covered in them and the management was unconcerned. Disgusting!
