Comfortable room-excellent breakfast.
Noise level from highway
I liked the location, it was close to Boston but not Boston prices.
Friendly, helpful staff, decent breakfast and close to Santarpio's pizza. We stayed in South Boston (Hull) the first two nights in the area. Met a local with his buddy from NY city. Asked about the pizza in Boston, both suggested Santarpio's. We had no idea there was one near by when we booked the room. Good pizza, the owner sat at the bar after a long day of making sausage. What a character.
eggs had no taste
Very clean and a convenient location to many attractions
1. Cleanliness 2. Polite, helpful professional staff 3. Room condition, size, comfortable mattress, high quality linens/towels, and the TV/fridge/micro/iron. 4. Great breakfast
The pillows have no support.
Everything! The staff was helpful and friendly--Rooms were very clean and comfortable--location is great--easy access to many dining facilities--easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Thank You!!
That the hotel wasn't in downtown yet downtown was 20mins away if you don't get lost. The location also made exploring the North Shore a breeze. 15 minuets to almost everything!
The only negative for me was breakfast. I don't eat bread or sugar so my options were limited. The boiled eggs were yucky in texture. The fruit was nice a fresh and the coffee was really good!
Loved my stay!
It was a little pricey but what do you expect being outside of a major city. All of the hotels in Boston were double the cost. We took the commuter rail (15 minute drive) to Boston for only 7 bucks each way. Very clean, nice decor, and a good breakfast (comparable to any other 3 star continental). We didn't have a chance to use the pool but it looked nice. There was a Sonic and a Wendy's right next door for any late night fast food cravings.
I don't consider this the hotel's fault, but on our first night there was a lot of door slamming. The room doors are quite heavy and will make a loud noise if you don't guide them shut. I would blame the patrons for being rude before I blamed the hotel. I don't really have any complaints. It was comfortable and appropriately priced for a 3 day, 2 night trip to Boston.
I always enjoy staying at Hampton Inns. They are consistent in everything they do; from the cleanliness, to quality of beds/rooms, to the friendliness of the staff, to the breakfast they offer. I'm never disappointed and this was the case for this location; Boston-North Shore.
A great stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were really nice and clean. I loved all the neutrogenia products they gave you in the bathrooms daily including the make up remover wipe. It was help ful having a hair blower available as well. The coffee- maker was great in the morning. It was great having wii fii in the room that was very easy to connect to. We were very surprised at the great breakfast /drink selection. The beds were VERY comfortable and great pillows to. I liked the location because it was just halfway to both the city and The whale watching boats. I would absolutely stay here the next time we come to Boston.
I personally would have liked the pool much warmer and bigger towels in there.
Indoor pool, breakfast buffet, helpful Reception staff, comfortable room.
Location: difficult to find and not ideal for our tourist purposes - the road system around that area is confusing and we were not very close to Boston city nor the coastal places like Rockport, only Salem seemed within easy reach.
Lovely staff, very nice decor, comfortable beds
Very small pool that makes it difficult to go in with small children. This was disappointing because the photos of the pool were a reason we choose the hotel; long stretches of one way street make it a little difficult to get to
Breafast was more than I expected
I would use a refrigrator in the room.
the staff at the front desk were great, especially Alexis with their help in directions for us to get around, the rooms and the beds were extremely clean and comfortable, breakfast was also good it changed things everyday. Overall I would give this a 10
The only things that might make even better wold be a fridge and a microwave in the room
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Location is convenient and easy to access (30 mins from downtown Boston). A decent breakfast is included.
Small rooms. Smell of mildew and humidity. Pool is filthy and over-chlorinated. Weak water pressure on some floors. Limited bandwidth on free WiFi. No security safe box. Some minor repairs required.
Check-in was quick and efficient. I tend to choose this chain repeatedly because its shown to be a brand I can rely on to deliver consistent quality, service, facilities. Room was spacious, bedding was white, fluffy and clean. Good entertainment selection in the room and quick Wifi. Front desk is always responsive and direct. Morning breakfasts are a nice, convenient treat.
There must have been an issue the morning of our stay ... there was no water pressure in the shower or sink. It was more of splash than shower.
Comfy beds, good staff, clean and very accommodating.
Ice machine on our floor was not the best.
Staff were really nice and helpful, giving us free snacks for the kids when we arrived, and generally had great attitudes. The facilities were good. Breakfast buffet was a nice touch, although food very unhealthy and processed.
Compared to another costlier hotel we stayed in this trip, Hampton Inns was top notch. The location was good for visiting Salem. It was walking distance from several eateries. The price was right. Breakfast was included which was a huge plus and wi-fi too. Another plus that I previously had taken for granted.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful.
Our room was not as pictured.
The bed The breakfast
It was hard to get to from Salem. Our GPS took us every which way.
Price is reasonable and breakfast was decent. There for race in Gloucester. A little far but nothing closer available in this price range.
Room close to elevator and floor bell heard from floors above and below our floor. Very annoying since it was busy and it kept dinging. Not close to much of anything. Pool was very small and no hot tub. Wifi difficult to access.
