Breakfast on plastic dishes, dated, away from main streets. Too expensive for this old hotel.
Staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was quite adequate. The lobby area was reasonably well appointed but it too could have used a nice renovation. Location-wise, it's very good for many downtown destinations.
I thought this Hampton seemed kind of "tired", especially the rooms. The beds were comfortable but the room needed to be renovated otherwise to bring it up to the quality of other Hamptons we have stayed at. It seemed over-priced compared as well. I hate to pay additional for parking too. Ouch!
It was a convenient hotel close to the convention center. Staff were helpful and cooperative.
size of the rooms - close to convention center
hotel definately needs a renovation. Despite of this, the hotel is "dirty"- carpets in the hallways and rooms are not cleaned properly- dirt lays there for days. Also at the breakfast area- the same impression. Breakfast was OK, but that´s it. Hotel lives from proximity to convention center.
Staff was exceptional. The rooms were very nice with gorgeous views of the Philadelphia skyline. The hotel is very close to everything you need. And if you want to go somewhere that was too far to just walk to, you are very close to the subway.
The only thing I didn't like was that there were no mini fridges in the room.
Quiet, spacious and well-equipped room, friendly personnel, good WIFI, centrally located.
small breakfast room.
meals and drinks especially breakfast
early check out and disposal plates and cups
The hotel is just 2 minutes walking from the convention center.
The room was very loud as it was in the second floor and opposite to the main street.
Free breakfast was great. Coffee and tea available all day was a nice perk.
Location was good for walking. Neighborhood was a little sketchy. Hotel room was clean but could use a little updating.
This was a good value downtown next to the convention center. It was clean and pleasant. It certainly is a hotel I would be glad to stay in again, assuming the price remains competitive
We were very happy with our registration person, Celia. She was very kind and helpful, making us feel comfortable as we traveled with our grandson.
Proximity to the convention center.
Arrived after a 4 hour drive at 4:15 and our rooms weren't ready. 3 of us got in at 5:00 and 1 at 5:30. Ran into housekeeping supervisor and he indicated there would be a discount on the rooms. That didn't happen. Also, the front desk woman was not truthful in why the rooms weren't ready. She indicated it was because we wanted rooms on the same floor but also indicated they were pre-assigned. The housekeeping supervisor indicated it was a staffing problem. I was very disappointed in the customer service.
Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, with few lapses. On my third night, I was given a room change to a very nice suite, where I slept very soundly. Attractive, clean rooms, very good breakfast and free breakfast bags to go, bar in lobby opened until 11:00 pm. Pleasant buzz of activity in lobby. Near Chinatown. Parking lot crew made my car easy to get to at 8 am.
On the first two of three nights, I slept very poorly, perhaps because of intermittent vent noise; the hotel thus failed in its main purpose. The indoor pool was not a serious size. Hotel parking required yielding my keys and car (although crew was great). Two to three blocks away from everything (not including convention center) except a grocery across the street.
Central location. Staff was superb.
Surrounding area was absolutely filthy. View was poor.
I got a rash from the bed. The location was in an ugly part of Philly. Very dirty outside. You dont get a nice view outside. Could have been better. They have a promise that if you don't enjoy your stay (which I didn't) you wouldnthave to pay for your stay... Yea total BS.
Large room, clean and neat. Staffs are polite .airconditionor is very cool! Bed sheet is a little bit thin.
nice hotel, clean and cozy room, good breakfast
This hotel was clean and a convenient location for us. The included breakfast made it good value.
The carpark cost an extra $35 for the night.
Air conditioning did not work. Room was too warm and uncomfortable
Friendly staff, good location.
Outdated matresses. Clean, but old sheets. Sofa bed is a joke: impossible to sleep on unless you love having sharp coil pinching your back.
I stayed at the Hampton Inn because of its proximity to the convention center, but I would come back even if I didn't have work there. The service was great, and the amenities were surprising for the value. I attribute my productive mornings while in Philly to the great breakfast buffet which has everything from waffles and fresh fruit, to eggs and oatmeal.
The WiFi was spotty and we ended up being charged about 5 bucks for it, even though it is supposed to be complementary.
