The staff was extremely well run, friendly, accommodating, and caring. I am especially grateful to the manager who listened to my concerns and confusion and did all he could to accommodate me and make me feel valued.
-Henry the door man is excellent and can answer any questions you may have! Just steps from great music and food as well.
The heat in the room the first night did not work and the room was about 50 degrees. When I called in the morning they promptly came to fix it. Overall, excellent place to stay and I would stay again.
Convenient locatiopn & helpful staff. Very nice breakfast
The bathroom was very cold & had a hard time adjusting the heat in the room overall
Location, big room and bathroom. Opposite the visitor centre and tram stops.
The breakfast, the friendliness of the staff and their gesture not to charge us for one night.
The heating unit made a horrible rattling noise, which was very annoying and made it impossible to relax and sleep. The system needs urgent replacement. It is archaic. I would not recommend this hotel. It is very dated.
We couldn't control the temperature in our room.
We had a double queen room on the ground floor with a door leadin out to the courtyard where the kids could throw a ball and run around which was nice. Pool was closed for winter but we expected that even though the listing says it is open year round.
Room was a bit narrow and small for two queen beds. Had a musty hint but nothing smelly. Just older humid charleston type of feel. It is a 3 star hotel I would say
Perfect location! Walking distance to everything, I will definitely stay here again!
Very large and comfortable room. Location near restaurants and right across the street from the Visitors center, trolley, and museum. Nice variety on the breakfast bar. Room was quiet, we never heard any other guests.
Need heat and ventilation in the bathroom. AC system was very loud.
The location next to the visitors center is good. The room was clean and the bed was in reasonable condition.
I would prefer that parking cost be included in the cost of the room. A guest parking ticket. Parking cost will be high. OK, it can be more convenient. You should be able to work out a solution with the city. The breakfast was nothing to write home about.
The breakfast- you accommodate a large crowd- and being in Charleston would like more upscale food.
Location. Next to visitors center and trolley car. Got around town fabulously. Parking both at hotel and around town a real pproblem. enjoyed!
Duvet. With just a sheet I got cold. With Duvet it was too hot. Upon departure I found a light weight blanket in closet.
We liked the location very convient to free trolly and we did not need to rent a car.
That restaurants suggested were limited when so many choices were available. We found our own way and Halls chop house around the corner was the best steak we ever had.
Had an amazing one night stay at this hotel. Convenient to some of our favorite spots in Charleston and the bed and bedding was heavenly!!
I have stay here several time in the past.. so I like the location ... the staff were great. the room was a bit small for a king room....
The only thing that was a problem.I am a cold nature person and of course it was cold this past weekend and I could not get the heat to work in the room... call desk twice, but still had a 64 degree room, they did give me a free nights stay
BRANDON AND WILLIE! YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE THEM EMPLOYED AT YOUR HOTEL. BRANDON HAD AN INCREDIBLE SMILE AND HEARTFELT CONNECTION! WILLIE HELPED US SENIOR CITIZENS FIGURE OUT WHERE WE HAD TO TAKE OTHER NEEDY SENIORS TO A GREAT RESTAURANT......AND HE GOT US THERE AND IT WAS THE BEST TIMES OF OUR LIVES!
I WAS GLAD I HAD THE STEPS UP TO THE BED...AND, I, UNDERSTAND FOR HISTORY...WHY YOU HAVE THEM. TOILET SEAT BROKE....AND, I AM SKINNY!
Great location. Walking distance to historic sites. Nearby parking. Breakfast included, nice lobby and breakfast area. Close to tourist information.
Noisy AC at night. Expensive parking.
Location on edge of old town, convenient parking and comfortable room
Room Location Very clean Nice breakfast Friendly employees
The dining area and check in desk was too loud due to poor acoustics
Location, staff, guests.
Street noise while in room.
LACK OF FRIG , TO KEEP WATER AND DRINKS COLD.
Everything else. Breakfast great. Nice tea.
Couldn't open a window. Shower without power.
