Wherever you stay at hamtpon, they all look the same (in the good way), and that makes me feel confortable because I'm not going to have any unpleasant surprise.
Room smelled musty. Was not as nice as other Hamptons.
I loved the comfy bed I loved the size of the room I loved the quality of the products i loved how quiet it was
Con: weird pillows hurt my neck one night, far from airport ($50 cab), breakfast bar was meh (exception: waffles and potatoes were good!)
Pro: quiet rooms, shuttle to nearby attractions, very friendly and accommodating staff, 5 min drive to universal, great internet, breakfast "to go" bags in early morning, toiletries available in case you forgot, tea and coffee all day long, and oatmeal raisin cookies!
Old and outdated hotel
Free breakfast for every guest is great.
Clean, very professional and helpful staff.
No huge complaints at all. Fairly well pleased and would definitely recommend to a friend and stay again.
Our housekeeping service from Bozena was on spot. She kept the room looking and smelling great. The variety offered at the continental breakfast was pleasing and the quality of the food was great.Western omelets one morning and scrambled eggs with ham chunks and cheddar cheese the next. No syrup for the waffles though(?), which disappointed my 16 year olds as they both wanted the fresh waffles, but not without the syrup. Overall, a fantastic stay and a fair value for the money.
Advertised 'free shuttle' was in fact two buses that left in the morning and one that returned in the evening. That did not meet our needs so we drove to Universal and paid the daily parking fees. Road noise from the nearby interstate could have been reduced with better sound proofing windows.
Breakfasts were good; staff was friendly and the location was good for visiting Universal.
Great service. Clean. Will stay there again!
Very comfortable bed, clean room. Good location, close to the parks. Breakfast has wide selection and it's not completely the same every morning.
Staff Cleanliness Proximity to universal
Confortable room, good breakfast, quick and easy checkin and check out. Very close to the Universal park.
The temperature in the hotel hallways and elevator was way too hot.
The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, and quiet. I had my 8 month old with and he didn't get woken up by loud noises.
Had to go to QualityInn next door to wash laundry, the hotel does not have washer and dryer. Thankfully I was able to get coins and use the machines after midnight. The blinds on the window was opened by the maid everyday, I had to remember to close it before undressing. I had to clean the shower drain after the first day because it backed up, there was a huge blob of hairy yuck that came out and the shower was fine after. Snacks and water were expensive, I walked to the gas station convenience store or the 7eleven 5 mins away instead. Paid $48 for a taxi from the hotel, not cheap, the public bus would have taken almost 2 hrs instead of about 30 mins, there should be an easier way to IDrive. Everyday we got at least 2 flyers for pizza places slipped under our door, even though there was a sign outside saying no soliciting was allowed.
iTrolley stop G1 is across the road. The free hotel bus to and from the parks was good and on time. Got 5 day unlimited iTrolley pass from the front desk, 7 day was not available. Staff was friendly and helpful with advice of the area and travel info (stayed Sept 2014). Free cookies on evenings, coffee/tea/hot choc all day and take away breakfast bag. The hotel was clean all around. The bus stop was a couple mins walk away on Kirkman Rd close by. Arabic (halaal) food was nearby at Sultana's, next to Carrabba's Italian Grill. Ihop was close by also. The room was quiet (rm 323). Local calls were free. Wifi had strong signal but could not play videos on youtube without regular buffering.
The only thing we didn't like were the beds, everything else was a 10.
Over all experience was good, not the 1st time at a Hampton, stayed in Mobile, Alabama was really comfortable, clean, breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly, same for Orlando except the beds.
the beds were extremely comfortable and the free breakfast was delicious, variety of foods were available, would definitely stay here again
There were a few miner things I will pick on. When we arrived I handed over my travel cash passport (pre paid mastercard) now you buy these cards at a post office or at a travelex store in Australia, these cards are basically off the shelf that the store will scan the card, place all your details on to, put the cash amount you wish to place on the card and send all info to the government. As these cards are just that they obviously don't have my name or any other kind of details like that on the card, the card is pretty much cash except a safe way to carry it around overseas. The gentleman that checked us in told me he could other use the card to pay for the room, I explained what it was and that the card was my only source of paying for the room ( I did not have enough cash on me to pay for the room, that was the whole point of the card) he then asked me to sign so I did but then he questioned my signature. I had to pull out every card I had on me to prove that it was my signature. I understand he has a job to do but seriously signatures change slightly all the time, it really wasn't that big of a deal but I started to feel like I was doing something wrong when I definitely had not. Staff were lovely and this particular staff member was lovely also but I did feel like he went overboard with friendliness in the end to the point it got quite annoying. It seems none of the rooms had a mini bar which we didn't mind because we normally take items out of the fridge and buy our own much cheaper items from a convenient store and place them in the fridge during our stay but if you do like a small selection in your room you won't find it. They do however have items for sale down in the lobby. Just one other annoying thing we found was the free wifi offered. Yes the wifi is free but instead of connection once for your intended stay it only let's you connect free as a guest for 24 hours.
My husband and I are on a month long vacation in the United States. Out of the 5 places we have/are staying at The Hampton Inn is by far the cheapest when it comes to cost. Our room was fine, nothing flash but it's all we needed and wasn't horrible. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I have stayed in but it wasn't the worst either just standard really. The hotel offered daily breakfast that was included with our stay and free wifi and shuttles to and from the hotel and theme parks. The breakfast had its pros and cons. I didn't try the eggs but my husband said they were not very nice and he didn't eat them again. I however enjoyed the breakfast. They didn't have a huge amount to offer (buffet style) but they had beagles there everyday and a waffle machine, 2 of my favorite breakfast items so I was happy. We were nice and close to the theme parks which was the reason we picked Orlando for our second stop of our vacation and the free shuttle saved us some money which is always good. The shuttle did however stop through quite a few other hotels that also required pick up and on some days that took quite a while, making our trip about a hr. We didn't mind though it was free so you can't complain with that. Overall I'd stay here again mainly for the price. The hotel was clean and tidy and rooms were seen to every day.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Everything was great!!! Definitely would stay here again.
The showers were dirty. The beds killed our backs. The rooms had outdated a/c and would not get cold. We saw a housekeeper put a dirty plunger directly on top of the carpet in the hallway. So nasty!
Not the best Hampton breakfast that we have had, but free is free. My son enjoyed the pool, even though it was next to a highway with very loud street noise constantly.
Kind, courteous helpful staff. Jeremy was great.
Close to universal, free shuttle or 20 min walking. Good deal.
The staff when we arrived on Saturday July 12 was extremely friendly.
The pool was kind of dirty.
The beds, the breakfast, and the guy Jeremy that checked us in was great.
