Loved the design and comfort. The hotel was in walking distance of shopping, sightseeing and bars! I was bitten by bed bugs. I would recommend this hotel assuming they fix this problem.

It was a great location, close to everything in the loop as well as close to transportation to leave the loop. The breakfast was great and the room was clean and comfortable.

Its location, just a couple of blocks from Millennium Park and Michigan and State streets. Also, proximity to the L-train blue line at Monroe for very easy airport access, literally a walk of less than 100 yards from station exit to hotel lobby. You can't beat $2.25 for the 18-mile train ride from O'Hare. Thank goodness for cities that know the value of public transport!! It is somewhat overpriced, but I guess that's just Chicago. One can stay in quite some degree of luxury for $260 in many great cities in North America (I include Canada here). This hotel is comfortable but certainly not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. I think there is a slight water-hammer issue with the plumbing, occasionally there would be a loud bang like someone hitting the door. It would happen 3 or 4 times each evening depending on bathroom use throughout the hotel, I guess. It could be unnerving for some guests who don't know what it is.

Location was excellent, really central to everything in downtown chicago, easy access to O hare airport via the Blue line. Staff extremely friendly and helpful Only thing that i wasnt keen on was the darkness of our room, we had room 1506 which had two small windows in, you had to turn the lights on even during the day.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted warmly after a 24-hr trip and felt at home right away. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Not small at all, but just right for the price. Double windows ensured absolute quiet and the thick curtains kept out the sunlight when drawn, so you can "heal" from jet lag by sleeping in very comfortably. Nice king bed and pillows. Nice water pressure in the shower. Loved the coffee maker in the room and complimentary daily (except weekends) newspaper. The hot breakfast was very adequate and replenished generously---evidently a response from a prior guest comment. The location was excellent---close to shopping, dining, train station, city sight seeing. I would definitely come back when I am in Chicago again. We had to buy a toothbrush and shaver holder in the nearby drug store because the paper cups in the bathroom couldn't hold them up properly. Yes, the paper cup and plastic utensils---in the room and at the breakfast venue---kinda took away from the otherwise nice ambiance of the hotel. I wonder if it would be too much to have real glasses and spoons, forks and knives. I bought some wine for the room and had to drink it from a paper cup---not the best experience. There is no ref nor a mini bar in the room, but there is an ice maker at the end of the hall. I couldn't remove the message signal on the phone even after listening to the message---my room phone kept blinking with the same message all week. But these "dislikes" for me are overwhelmed by the "likes", until of course another hotel of the same price and location meets my likes and removes my dislikes.

We had a very good experience during our 8-night stay with a 7 months old baby here. The staff was great, including Angel at Front dest, the young ladies at breakfast and the cleaning ladies that we have never met. The breakfast is inluded in the room rate and it's amazingly awesome! There are hot beverage and fruits all day long in the lobby and free chilled/bottled water at Front dest. We'll definitely come back for our next trip to Chicago. It seems that the windows can't be open, so you can never get some fresh air.

The service was exceptional. The staff served us beyond our expectations. For example, when we asked our bellman (Reny) where a good place for dinner was, he not only gave us a recommendation, but he made our reservation. This meant alot to us since we had never been to Chicago before. There were only a couple minor things we would recommend to have made our stay perfect. First, it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. With the portion sizes of most of the restaurants, alot of food was wasted simply because we had nowhere to preserve it. This would have especially been helpful with amount of Giordano's pizza we had left over. Second, althought there was a vent in our bathroom, there was no fan. So, hot showers left the mirror fogged for a very long time because there was no fan.

Location was good. Breakfast were O.K. although the Lobby was alittle small. Our room was just the right size and the bed was comfortable. Maid service always showed up late afternoon when we were wanting to get ready to go out for the evening. We would just have them give us extra towels or whatever and never had our bed made or vacuumed or bathroom cleaned.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, modern, and clean. We walked to everything we wanted to see; the hotel was very nicely located near Soldier Field, Navy Pier, and Magnificent MIle. The hotel ended up beng a little pricey with parking and taxes but I think we would have paid just as much at any other comparable hotel.

The hotel location was excellent, easy access to subway/buses, restaurants in the immediate area and close to the lake. The hotel staff was very accomodating. There's no pool at this location and they only have pool privileges at another Hampton Inn 8 blocks away. The Palmer House is also a Hilton Hotel and it's right across the street but they won't accomodate Hampton guests without charging them to use their pool. The Hampton Inn staff called & asked if we could have pool privileges so this comment isn't meant to be negative to them...it just seems ridiculous to imagine anyone is going to travel 8 city blocks to use a pool. I will pay more attention when booking hotels in the future as we just assumed there was a pool. But, the hotel stay was really very good and we found enough things to do so got along fine without the pool!
