Close to the Chicago Cultural Centre and shopping area.
I was impressed with the breakfast. Having a gluten allergy, makes travel a challenge. Having an actual choice of breakfast items was wonderful.
Had some elevator problems while we were there. This was resolved in a timely manor but after my husband walked up to the 17th floor. We were disappointed that there was not a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Also small packs of tissues were not sufficient.

The location is wonderful - close to the Art Institute of Chicago and actually IN the theater district. On the spur of the moment, we went to a play right next door!
Signing on to the wi-fi was a bit difficult.
I had to call the front desk to ask about parking, I was unaware it was valet only. Fred, was very friendly and helpful, even when I was confused as to why I was being charged for parking. He even helped me figure out if I should take the train or drive to my previous location for my luggage. The rest of the staff was just as friendly.
If I had to say what I didn't like, there were really only treo things. The wifi connection was slow, but it was complimentary, so can I really complain? The elevators were really tiny and slow.

About hotel,the only thing troubled us was the hotel front desk staff's behaviour against my friend.we were travelling with my friends as a group, just before check out, we had breakfast and while returning room,my friend could not open their room's door due to invalid keycard.when she went to lobby about sorting out invalid card, they told her that her credit card did not work so they could not take the total amount from stated credit card.Because of this, they retained their belongings in the room Even they told her on condition that she bring her credit card, they can open their room.She said all my belongings including my purse is in the room how i can manage to bring my credit card while you re retaining my belongings in the room.As a solution, she owed us and paid her accomation expenses by cash. To sum up,because of staff's way of solving problem, my friend felt humiliated that she was behaved like she would leave the hotel without paying the amount.AT LEAST, they could have called her about informing the problem with her credit card instead of retaining her belongings!
Wifi was a pain to figure out and required too much information so I stopped trying to figure it out. Also walls were thin and I heard the conversation next door at 11pm.
Staff was excellent, rooms were clean, everything was in working order. Breakfast had good variety and fresh fruit.
Central location. Friendliness of staff. City was great.
Parking fees. You may be the lowest in the area but still too high. Someone's getting very rich.

One small thing I didn't like is that we got a handicap room. I did ck in late and I think that is all they had left.. so not their fault I checked in late but on the other hand I didn't like that I was taking up a handicap room for someone who may have needed it.
A nice base for exploring the heart of Chicago. I was almost overcharged with the room rate but a quick call solved the issue.
Cramped breakfast area and food selection is quite limited for the price you pay.
I liked being close to the blue and red lines, ample shopping and the overall accommodations. There were fresh baked cookies in the lobby when I came down to ask questions. Free breakfast was provided. The staff were always friendly, courteous and informative. The beds and rooms were very comfortable.
The eggs at the free breakfast were a little undercooked, but that's just to my taste. Everything else was great. I really enjoyed my stay there!
The hotel is well located to experience the best of Chicago and is within walking distance to all major attractions. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist with any request or to provide information. We could not fault anything that was provided to us and looked forward to the free muffins and cookies on offer in the dining area most afternoons. Well done to all the staff who clearly enjoy their jobs which is reflected in the quality and high standards set. Excellent location. Around the corner from the "blue line" train to/from the airport on West Monroe Street and close to many attractions. Friendly, helpful staff. Gladly stay again when next in Chicago.
Being my first visit to Chicago I didn't have a clue as to the best location for a brief sightseeing visit. This hotel is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and sites that a cab was only needed to Union Station (and we could have walked there). I can't say enough about the courteous staff; from the front desk to housekeeping they were great. The complimentary breakfast was a very nice extra that is not available in many hotels in the city. It was delicious with a different hot offering each morning and always fresh fruit as well as delicious pastries along with the usual breakfast items.

Just a few blocks from Millennium Park. Coffee station at the lobby available 24hrs. Small but nice breakfast buffet spread in the mornings
Off State Street and Monroe, this is as central as a hotel can get in Chicago. Rooms were an adequate size, not lavish but comfortable. Best of all was that in this old building, built in 1905, the thick walls keep things very quiet. Add the blackout curtains, and the conditions for rest are almost perfect.
The shower did not drain well.
The Majestic staff were very helpful, and the historic building has been nicely rehabilitated. The usual Hampton amenities of a full breakfast and fresh linens were a plus.
Using this service made us ineligible for Hilton Honors points. On this weekend, the rates (booking.com was the most competitive) were high for a hotel with minimal luxury.
Valet, hotel and housekeeping staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Location was close to everything downtown and to CTA. Breakfast was very good with many options. Beds were comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay here.

The location was perfect for some of the main attractions - millennium park, Willis Tower, art institute of Chicago etc.
On checking out I realised that they were charging me a different rate to that confirmed with booking.com. After some discussion it was amended but it's worth being careful and making sure you check your bill.
There are 3 elevators.Sometimes it doesn't work well,that's why we should wait 10 minutes to get on.
