Half of the breakfast room was closed for repairs which meant the other half was very crowded. There was no hot water on the last day of our stay and the staff kept saying it will return in 10 minutes. It didn't.
Proximity to midtown and downtown. Views across the rooftops. Easy access to tea and coffee in the lobby. Good breakfast.
The wifi was appallingly slow. Breakfast was ok but most of the "hot" food was lukewarm at best.
The room was quiet and comfy and just what we were looking for.
I liked everything from the Hotel. The frontdesk, specially Linda, is very pleasant. The hotel has a nice room and great location, near CVS, Whole Foods, Best Buy. The free breakfast has a good variety. We can deink free coffee everytime.
The breakfast area was a little small so if you went to breakfast late it was busy. Manageable and not a real big issue
Lovely comfie beds; very friendly and helpful staff; good breakfast - eat as much as you like buffet; you can order take away food or bring food back and eat in the breakfast area which saves you so much money!!!; free hot drinks all day from serve yourself area
air conditioner/heater fan was working al night though in auto mode, couldn't figure out how to stop it, no sleepers
location, breakfast, free wifi, bed, bathroom, cleanliness
more a business hotel than for tourists. Not stand with tourist attactions in the city for example.
Free internet. Good complimentary breakfast. Nice safe in room
Nearer room's door wouldn't stop clacking (Noise)
Most disappointing thing was the styrofoam crockery and plastic cutlery and paper cups at breakfast. Very ordinary; I guess they've just figured it's cheaper to just chuck it all out rather than wash it. I believe from talking to a friend that £150 a night is actually mid-range pricing for NYC but even budget hotels in London have proper tableware!. Wifi was free but you had to log on every time and select the 'Complimentary' option. There is a paid 'premium wifi' option but don't know what that provides. We paid for a city view, which got us 16th floor but a view south rather than north, and the only thing of note to see was the new World Trade Centre building away in the distance; a view up towards the Empire State and mid-town would have been better. Still; we could have asked for a change of room but didn't.
Very friendly staff when we arrived - due to a delayed flight and the usual US immigration malarky - at 0315. In fact staff were friendly and helpful throughout and can't be faulted. Room was nicely serviced every day. Room clean and comfortable though heating was by means of a noisy wall heater/AC unit. Complimentary (good) coffee and tea on the go in reception all day. Location was convenient for most things with subway nearby for more distant locations like the 9/11 memorial.
The room was pretty noisy, especially the noise from the corridors, slamming doors etc was uncomfortable at times.
Location was very good, near to office and many attractions.
Smallest fitness centre I've ever seen.
Great location in Midtown.
Small fitness room...T.T
The room was clean and all amenities were there. And there was very nice breakfast and also the breakfast package was provided for busy people.
I didn't like that booking.com quoted me 129.00 plus tax but hotel charged me253 with taxes.Bookin.com sent me an email with my reservation but did not include rate and hotel charged me the higher rate.I'm waiting on booking.com to resolve this.
Hotel and staff are wonderful.
Had a great stay !!!!!! Location was great.. And staff was excellent.. !!!!!! Can't wait to do it again!!!!!!
Poor drainage in sink, shelf needed to secured properly.
Liked it a lot.. Nice mid sized hotel ..
The rooms in the upper floors should be better to stay if you are looking for silence. We have asked for a silent room but we were told it should not be a problem. Generally speaking, yes the 2nd floor was very close to street level but we could sleep without being dicsturbed by the noise, but NY is a very busy city and you hear police cars and ambulances passing from the street.
The comfortable bed, the staff, the location. It is about 50 meters to metro station and in a and safe decent street. I would absolutely recommend this property and I'd stay here again if I go to NY.
I paid more to get a city view, so I got the 16th floor, but I can't say the view was breathtaking - you see mostly the building around and lower Manhattan in the distance. This is not the hotel's fault of course, since it's all based on the location, but just be wary, and you should probably skip the extra fee. About fees, know that you'll pay a LOT of taxes staying in Manhattan. The taxes accumulated to more than 25$ per night(!) so keep that in mind. Except that, the hotel staff is not allowed to order a taxi for you since the hotel does not have a driveway. This is not a big issue though, since you can just go to the 6th Avenue which is literally 20 meters from the hotel and pick up a random taxi.
The location is really great, only about 10 blocks (approx 10-15 minutes by foot) away from Penn station, so you can spare the expensive Taxi if you arrive form Newark Airport (as I did), and you're a good walker. Being located in Chelsea, there's lots of good stuff around. The staff were nice and welcoming
Breakfast was great
Great location, value for money, fantastic staff. Alena was so helpful and went above and beyond in helping us and giving advice. Had a wonderful stay!
Room was too small.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Location & friendly, helpful staff
The hotel is very central and if you like walking you can reach everything by foot. All major subways have a station near by. Only a few blocks away is Broadway where all the main shops are with Times Square visible from seventh avenue! Free breakfast every morning and hot drinks 24/7 which saves a ton of money!
On the check-in morning they frozen the authorization on the credit card used on booking.com. When we arrived we gave them another card to use for full payment. We asked to release the other authorization immediately, and they said ok, but they haven't done it: they kept both as a guarantee. One of us couldn't make any shopping because of occupied credit card plafond. He had the vacation ruined.
Proximity to subway. Complimentary coffee. Nice breakfast. Good wi-fi.
Noisy guests opposite our room were easily heard through the doors (who lets their kids run and scream in the halls like that?).
Small, stylish, clean and friendly, this spot is near two subways (1, B, D, F, M); easy access to bus, taxi; walk to Flatiron, West Village, Chelsea, Union Square, Gramercy Park neighborhoods. Decent breakfast selection (included), comfortable lounge/dining areas. Staff very accommodating. Rooms clean. Efficient, affordable. Would definitely stay here again.
Pillows too soft Fan never stopped blowing in room HVAC
