Location was good, friendly staff, nice room. Comfortable beds
Super location, very friendly, attentive staff. Large clean rooms, comfortable beds. Free drinking water, coffee, apples and breakfast. Excellent value all around.
What's not to like?
amenities are good enough bed sheets are clean
carpet looks old lighting is not enough no bottled water carpet in the hallway looks old
What more can I say about location. The Hampton is so close to Times square, central park subways shopping you name it its all on your door step
I have stayed at Hamptons in other cities and they have never run out of hot drinks like this one did. The sales pitch was a little off putting but if that's all I have to moan about life aint to bad at all
It was an excellent location and it was very clean and comfortable. I dont normally stay at 3 star hotels (I prefer to stay at 4 star or better) but this was an excellent hotel, especially for being 3 stars and exceeded my expectations.
It is near to most of the tourist spot
I would like to comment how pleased I was with the service provided to me by Dennis. This is my second stay at your Hampton Inn Manhattan – Times Square North for business. I have stayed at many Hilton properties across the world and have found most of them are good and the staff generally friendly. Dennis has by far out paced every one of them. In my last day of stay, I have asked the day time front desk in the morning to help me delivery a big box though DHL to my Hong Kong office. The same day afternoon when I returned to the hotel and check again with the front desk and they told me the box is not there so it should be already collected by DHL. Four days later when I back to my Hong Kong office and I realize my box has not yet received. My staffs help me to check with DHL and they cannot find any pick up record. I then call the hotel myself and the front desk staffs from the day shift told me they cannot find it and don’t see any box. Dennis is a very friendly night shift staff which I remember him really well due to my first stay I have to check out and leave the hotel in the mid night to catch a flight. On my last trip, I was able to see him again in the morning while I’m sending my box to the front desk. I cannot believe that he still remember my name after a year ago and he so greeting to see me again. He told me he had some work to do and that’s why he still staying at the hotel. Luckily I have ask for his name card which he doesn’t has one but he has wrote me his contact and offer me to contact him if I need any help on my next stay at the Hampton Inn. So then I called Dennis, he was not suppose to start his night shift yet but he already back to the hotel for preparation. And Dennis help me to look for the box and he found it still sitting in the hotel! He has comfort me on the phone and advised that he has requested to the day shift staff for a DHL pick up and the of course I have received my box finally arrive to my office.
The staff were all ready and to help and cared about my stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the black-out curtains allowed me to have a perfect night's sleep.
Location, Location, Location The breakfasts were awesome. Staff were amazing! I love this hotel. We can't wait to return at Christmas time next year.
I have stayed here twice and it has always been a pleasant experience. The rooms are adequate in size compared to most Manhattan hotels. I would stay again there when we go back.
The breakfast food area is nestled in the corner making it cramped and hard to retrieve any food when the area is full of guests. Seating is fair but understandable for the amount of people staying at the hotel
Complementary tea ,coffee and cookies. Very comfortable and clean. Excellent location. Staff very accommodating.
replenishment of breakfast items sometimes slow.
Close to times
so expensive and old conditioned rooms
Good location to access nearly everything in Manhattan w/o taxi or metro, friendly, helpful staff, changing hot breakfast (eggs etc.)
Breakfast room a bit small and thus quite crowded. A total of four (!) different taxes on top of room prices sums up to a high yet still reasonable (for NYC) price.
The location was fantastic, a walking distance close to everything, next to metro station, with a supermarket and a pharmacy in 50 meters, several pubs around, the room was very nice and clean, excellent bed, "all black" blinds help a lot the persons whit jet lag.
The breakfast was horrible, no vegetables, no cheese, actually nothing eatable except bread and butter, honey and some fruits, BUT the rest was so good that actually the breakfast did not count so much as Starbucks was in the neighborhood.
Liked the availability of coffee and tea, and also the fruit and biscuits available for guests to take as a snack. Hotel was well located for all the tourist attractions - Central Park, shows, Times Square etc. rooms clean and spacious. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was quite busy after 8am, but fine earlier.
Nothing - all good
Friendly efficient staff, Free fruit & hot drinks in foyer 24/7, decent buffet breakfast with varied choice, comfortable & clean rooms
Nothing of note.
Able to walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Centre and Broadway. Just a block to the subway. Lots of choice at the daily breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Get the hotel flat-rate taxi to and from the airport. It was ready & waiting and fast. Well worth the money compared to very, very slow shuttle.
Excellent location 5 min walks from the theatre we went Friendly staff Buffet breakfast nutritious healthy choices a bonus Clean spacious room Close to subway I would recommend to anyone who wishes to enjoy sightseeing in NY
A bit too busy at breakfast But not a big inconvenient
We wrote a message that we´ll arrive after 11pm. When we arrived our room was given to someone else. The staff told us he tried to call us but he didn´t. So we couldn´t check in! Fortunately we got a room in Hilton Garden Inn.
Location Free Breakfast Cleanliness Comfort Large rooms for Manhattan Free coffee all day
Staff was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. A 5 star stay.
Location was perfect for our trip to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. Less than a block from Broadway show (wicked) and dinner reservations at Gallaghers steak restaurant. The hotel is also located near the start of the hop-on/off bus routes. Walk to Time Square, Radio City, Rockafellar Plaza and countless other attractions were 5-10 minutes and never felt unsafe during evening hours. I could go on and on about location but I won't. The hotel itself was nice and the staff was excellent and very helpful/informative. Breakfast was good but VERY busy unless you're up at the crack of dawn. The room (king bed) was spacious and comfortable except for the bathroom. Parking is right next to hotel, which was great. When I return to NYC I will stay here again.
The bathroom was cramped even with only two people. Not sure if room with two beds and a family is different. The parking staff is rude and seemed inconvienced and putout to provided any assistance with your car.
Air conditioning Conciege assistance Polite staff
Crowded breakfast area Cardboard plates
- Bad breakfast and very crowded. - Bad concierge services as I went to the concierge office to ask about some shows tickets and sat there waiting for the lady to hang up the phone for +10 mins but eventually left without having a chance to talk to her. - internet was very slow and you had to sign in every time you needed to access the internet. - room smelled weird at first but i guess you get to used to the smell later. - expensive
